本文根据对椭圆斜羽叶(Plagiozamites oblongifolius)钙质石化化石的研究,认为其主要特征如下:羽状复叶,叶肉无海绵组织和栅栏组织分化。羽片叶脉维管束外韧式,木质部外始式,与现代苏铁属叶脉特征相近。羽轴维管束为“U”形,外始式木质部、梯状纹孔管胞,与现代苏铁属的羽轴维管束相似。根据上述特征,目前可将斜羽叶属归入原始苏铁类植物。但是,如果斜羽叶的生殖器官同 Noeggerathia 一样,为异孢型孢子囊穗,则斜羽叶可能为一种与苏铁类起源有关的原裸子植物。     

Ion channel expression by white matter glia: the type-1 astrocyte.

We describe the electrophysiological properties of acutely isolated type-1 astrocytes using a new "tissue print" dissociation procedure. Because the enzymes used did not destroy or modify the ion channels, and the cells retained many processes, the properties may reflect those in vivo. The types of ion channels in type-1 astrocytes changed rapidly during the first 10 postnatal days, when they attained their adult phenotype. This change was dependent on the presence of neurons. In culture, most of these channel types were not expressed, but a phenotype more typical of that in vivo could be induced by co-culture with neurons. The electrophysiological properties of astrocytes make some existing hypotheses of astrocyte function less likely.     

国产磨芋属的染色体核型报道(1)

SC9-4和棕榈油的比较分析研究

SC_9-4是以植物油为原料研制成功的一种高速冷轧工艺润滑油。经武钢高速冷轧机轧制性能鉴定,它的高速轧制性能优于棕榈油。我们使用高效液相色谱比较分析鉴定了SC_9-4和棕榈油的甘油三酯组成。分析结果:SC_9-4:的主要甘油三酯是POP(42.8％)和PPP(14.6％),而棕榈油的主要甘油三酯是POP(31.3％)、POO(20.1％)、PLP(12.2％)和PLO(11.6％)。我们初步探讨甘油三酯组成与轧制性能关系认为,SC_9-4的高速轧制性能优于棕榈油,可能是和SC_9-4含PPP、PPS和PSS的含量(18.8％)高于棕榈油(9.9％)有关。     

人体小卫星DNA探针的制备

根据人体小卫星DNA核心顺序,化学合成长23碱基寡核苷酸探针,筛选人体基因组文库,旨在获得能用作遗传分析探针的小卫星顺序。结果得到15个含小卫星的阳性重组子。随机取其一(C_(35.9))作探针,试做群体分析。所有个体均可检出多条杂交带。其中某些带具有多态性。在一定检测条件下,检出的DNA图谱在有限的个体内具有个体特异性。结果表明筛选文库得到的小卫星顺序可用于小卫星多态性的检测。其它小卫星探针的筛选和应用性研究正在进行。     

Early-blocked sporulation mutations alter expression of enzymes under carbon control in Bacillus subtilis

Summary The physiological roles of the gene subset defined by early-blocked sporulation mutations (spo0) and their second-site suppressor alleles (rvtA11 and crsA47) remain cryptic for both vegetative and sporulating Bacillus subtilis cells. To test the hypothesis that spo0 gene products affect global regulation, we assayed the levels of carbon- and nitrogen-sensitive enzymes in wild-type and spo0 strains grown in a defined minimal medium containing various carbon and nitrogen sources. All the spo0 mutations (except spo0J) affected both histidase and arabinose isomerase levels in an unexpected way: levels of both carbon-sensitive enzymes were two- to six-fold higher in spo0 strains compared to wild type, when cells were grown on the derepressing carbon sources arabinose or maltose. There was no difference in enzyme levels with glucose-grown cells, nor was there a significant difference in levels of the carbonindependent enzymes glutamine synthetase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase. This effect was not due to a slower growth rate for the spo0 mutants on the poor carbon and nitrogen sources used. The levels of carbon-sensitive enzymes were not simply correlated with sporulation ability in genetically suppressed spo0 mutants, but the rvtA and crsA suppressors each had such marked effects on wild-type growth and enzyme levels that these results were difficult to interpret. We conclude that directly or indirectly the spo0 mutations, although blocking the sporulation process, increase levels of carbon-sensitive enzymes, possibly at the level of gene expression.     

Inhibition of gastric acid secretion by peptide YY is independent of gastric somatostatin release in the rat

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the inhibitory action of peptide YY (PYY) on gastric acid secretion is attributable to the release of gastric somatostatin in rats. Two groups of rats (six rats/group) were anesthetized with urethane and prepared with gastric fistulas and jugular catheters. Pentagastrin (18 micrograms/kg-h) was given intravenously for 150 min to stimulate gastric acid secretion. Intravenous PYY (130 micrograms/kg-h) inhibited pentagastrin-stimulated gastric acid secretion significantly (P less than 0.05). Administration of iv PYY resulted in a 41% reduction (P less than 0.05) in pentagastrin-stimulated gastric acid secretion. In another group of anesthetized rats, administration of PYY (10(-7), 10(-8) M) failed to stimulate a release of somatostatin from the isolated-perfused rat stomach. Our findings indicate that PYY can inhibit gastric acid secretion independently of release of gastric somatostatin in the rat.
