Initial verification of the resistance management strategy for Frankliniella
occidentalis (Pergande) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) in Australia 总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1
Shortly after the initial detection of western flower thrips (WFT), Frankiniella occidentalis (Pergande), in Australia during 1993 a resistance management strategy based on the alternation of chemical groups was implemented. This study aimed to verify this strategy by field testing α-cypermethrin against WFT with and without chemical alternation. Up to 114 times α-cypermethrin resistance (at LC50) was detected and resistance increased with and without chemical alternation; however, chemical alternation did significantly reduce numbers of thrips compared with a nonalternation strategy. Resistance has the potential to undermine the sustainable use of those chemicals to which there is no current detectable resistance. Consequently, chemicals with a high frequency and level of resistance against WFT need to be identified through monitoring and quickly eliminated from WFT chemical control recommendations. 相似文献

The number of fibers was analysed on cross section electron micrographs (x 1.000 and 4.500). About 300 axons of motoneurons leave the Ist thoracic ganglion. Approximately 180.000 sensory fibers enter the ganglion by lateral nerves. More than 90% of these fibers terminate on the ganglion neurons. The ganglion has descending connections with more caudally lying portions of the cord. The suboesophageal ganglion is closely associated with the 1st thoracic and other ganglia, and presumably contains a large vegetative center. The brain receives considerable information from the body via primary as well as secondary fibers, and controls the activity of the nerve cord through the system of various descending connective fibers. 相似文献

The influence of ribonuclease on the morphogenesis of experimental pancreatitis in the albino rats has been studied. The drug injected during edematous stage of pancreatitis caused some decrease of pancreatic enzymes level in the blood at hemorrhagic stage and its normalization at necrotic stage of pancreatitis. The development of hemorrhagic and necrotic stages of pancreatitis did not change under the influence of ribonuclease. The maturation of connective tissue of pseudocyst capsule was delayed and inflammatory infiltration of necrotic tissues and their elimination were increased under the influence of the drug. There were extensive tubular transformations of acini and early fibrosis and lipomatosis in the frontier zone. In the viable parts of pancreas moderate hypertrophy of exocrine pancreatocytes developed and chronic pancreatitis features appeared with use of ribonuclease. 相似文献

Physiologic and morphologic research on animals in chronic experiment shows that depression of small intestine absorption function takes place during the first hour after hemorrhage of 30-40 ml/kg for 30-50% of animals and after hemorrhage of 50 ml/kg for 100% animals. This excludes except the possibility of efficient post-hemorrhage hypovolemia enteral correction without additional treatment. The effects of the composite biopreparation Bralec (involving the soybean-specific root nodule bacterium Bradyrhizobium japonicum strain 634b and soybean lectin at concentrations of 500, 50, and 5 microg/ml as major components) on the development and functional activity of soybean-rhizobium symbiosis (development phases of one leaf, four true leaves, and budding) was studied. It was demonstrated that pretreatment of seed with this preparation stimulated the development of both the macro- and microsymbionts. The experimental plants displayed an active accumulation of biomass (by 4-42% higher compared with the variant with inoculation), development of root nodules (the number increased by 11-110% and the weight, by 27-157%). and elevated nitrogen-fixing activity (by 45-204%). Clinical and laboratory estimation of the efficacy of pectins in complex treatment of patients with intracranial hematoma was performed.
