A fast, nondestructive, camera‐based method to capture optical bandgap images of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with micrometer‐scale spatial resolution is developed. This imaging technique utilizes well‐defined and relatively symmetrical band‐to‐band luminescence spectra emitted from perovskite materials, whose spectral peak locations coincide with absorption thresholds and thus represent their optical bandgaps. The technique is employed to capture relative variations in optical bandgaps across various PSCs, and to resolve optical bandgap inhomogeneity within the same device due to material degradation and impurities. Degradation and impurities are found to both cause optical bandgap shifts inside the materials. The results are confirmed with micro‐photoluminescence spectroscopy scans. The excellent agreement between the two techniques opens opportunities for this imaging concept to become a quantified, high spatial resolution, large‐area characterization tool of PSCs. This development continues to strengthen the high value of luminescence imaging for the research and development of this photovoltaic technology. 相似文献

Objective: Body image dissatisfaction is common in treatment‐seeking patients with obesity. We aimed to investigate the effects of obesity management on body image in patients with obesity attending Italian medical centers for weight loss programs. Research Methods and Procedures: A total of 473 obese patients seeking treatment in 13 Italian medical centers (80% females; age, 45.9 ± standard deviation 11.0 years; BMI, 36.8 ± 5.7 kg/m2) were evaluated at baseline and after a 6‐month weight loss treatment. Body uneasiness, psychiatric distress, and binge eating were tested by Body Uneasiness Test (BUT, Part A), Symptom CheckList‐90 (SCL‐90), and Binge Eating Scale (BES), respectively. Results: At 6‐month follow‐up, the percentage weight loss was significantly higher in men (9.0 ± 6.3%) than in women (6.8 ± 7.3%; p = 0.010). Both men and women had a significant improvement in BUT Global Severity Index and in all of the BUT subscales with the exception of the Compulsive Self‐Monitoring subscale. Linear regression analysis selected baseline psychological and behavioral measures (global score of BUT and SCL‐90) and improved psychiatric distress and binge eating as independent predictors of changes in basal body dissatisfaction in females, whereas in males, changes were associated only with baseline BUT‐Global Severity Index score, binge eating, and its treatment‐associated improvement. Pre‐treatment BMI and BMI changes did not enter the regression. Discussion: Obesity treatment, even with a modest degree of weight loss, is associated with a significant improvement of body image, in both females and males. Mutations in the human SBDS gene is the most common cause of Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS). The SBDS protein participates in ribosome biogenesis; however, effects beyond reduced translation efficiency are thought to be involved in SDS progression. Impaired mitochondrial function has been reported for cells lacking either SBDS or Sdo1p, the Saccharomyces cerevisiae SBDS ortholog. To better understand how the loss of SBDS/Sdo1p leads to mitochondria damage, we utilized the S. cerevisiae model of SDS. Yeast deleted for SDO1 show increased oxidative damage to mitochondrial proteins and a marked decrease in protein levels and activity of mitochondrial superoxide dismutase 2 (Sod2p), a key enzyme involved in defense against oxidants. Immature forms of Sod2p are observed in sdo1∆ cells suggesting a defect in proteolysis of the presequence. Yeast deleted for CYM1, encoding a presequence protease, display a similar reduction in Sod2p activity as sdo1∆ cells, as well as elevated oxidative damage, to mitochondrial proteins. Sod2p protein levels and activity are largely restored in a por1∆ sdo1∆ strain, lacking the major mitochondrial voltage-dependent anion channel. Together these results indicate that mitochondrial insufficiency in sdo1∆ cells may be linked to the accumulation of immature presequence containing proteins and this effect is a consequence, at least in part, from loss of counter-regulation of Por1p by Sdo1p. 相似文献
