A group of patients with ischemic heart disease and myocardial infarction (N = 156) and a reference population sample (N = 300) were genotyped for 58 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the genes involved in extracellular matrix function and collagen metabolism or associated with cardiovascular diseases and atherosclerotic plaque stability. Genotyping was performed by mass-spectrometry with two multiplex sets of 27 and 31 SNPs. The study revealed different genetic composition of predisposition to cardiovascular disease continuum (CVDC) syntropy (patients with concomitant conditions: hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, and type-II diabetes mellitus, N = 96) and to isolated myocardial infarction (without these conditions, N = 60). Only the KIAA1462 gene (rs3739998) showed associations with both CVDC syntropy (OR = 1.71; 95% CI 1.19–2.45; р = 0.003) and isolated infarction (OR = 1.58; 95% CI 1.05–2.40; р = 0.028). Isolated myocardial infarction was also associated with LIG1 (rs20579) (OR = 2.08; 95% CI 1.06–4.17; р = 0.028) and ADAMDEC1 (rs3765124) (OR = 1.63; 95% CI 1.07–2.50; р = 0.020). CVDC syntropy was associated with CDKN2BAS1 (rs1333049) (OR = 1.48; 95% CI 1.03–2.12; р = 0.029) and APOA2 (rs5082) (OR = 1.47; 95% CI 1.02–2.11; р = 0.035). So, genes involved in fibrogenesis contribute to predisposition to the myocardial infarction as well. Isolated myocardial infarction and CVDC syntropy can be considered as pathogenetically different cardiovascular conditions, with different genes that contribute to the susceptibility.  相似文献

In recent decades, it has become evident that the condition for normal functioning of mitochondria in higher eukaryotes is the presence of membrane transport systems of macromolecules (proteins and nucleic acids). Natural competence of the mitochondria in plants, animals, and yeasts to actively uptake DNA may be directly related to horizontal gene transfer into these organelles occurring at much higher rate compared to the nuclear and chloroplast genomes. However, in contrast with import of proteins and tRNAs, little is known about the biological role and molecular mechanism underlying import of DNA into eukaryotic mitochondria. In this review, we discuss current state of investigations in this area, particularly specificity of DNA import into mitochondria and its features in plants, animals, and yeasts; a tentative mechanism of DNA import across the mitochondrial outer and inner membranes; experimental data evidencing several existing, but not yet fully understood mechanisms of DNA transfer into mitochondria. Currently available data regarding transport of informational macromolecules (DNA, RNA, and proteins) into the mitochondria do not rule out that the mechanism of protein and tRNA import as well as tRNA and DNA import into the mitochondria may partially overlap.  相似文献

Pulse-periodic generation of supershort avalanche electron beams (SAEBs) and X-ray emission in nitrogen, as well as the transition from a single-pulse mode to a pulse-periodic mode with a high repetition frequency, was studied experimentally. It is shown that, in the pulse-periodic mode, the full width at halfmaximum of the SAEB is larger and the decrease rate of the gap voltage is lower than those in the single-pulse mode. It is found that, when the front duration of the voltage pulse at a nitrogen pressure of 90 Torr decreases from 2.5 to 0.3 ns, the X-ray exposure dose in the pulse-periodic mode increases by more than one order of magnitude and the number of SAEB electrons also increases. It is shown that, in the pulse-periodic mode of a diffuse discharge, gas heating in the discharge gap results in a severalfold increase in the SAEB amplitude (the number of electrons in the beam). At a generator voltage of 25 kV, nitrogen pressure of 90 Torr, and pulse repetition frequency of 3.5 kHz, a runaway electron beam was detected behind the anode foil.  相似文献

The paper treats of some problems pertinent to modelling of thermal inactivation of the microbes serving as a theoretical foundation for the achievement of guaranteed sterility of the equipment, communications and fluids. The principal attention is devoted to the problems of quantitative assessment of the efficacy of the mentioned processes. The advantages and the drawbacks of some deterministic and probability models which found application in microbiological laboratories are assessed. The expediency of orientation on a model proposing the use of characteristics of thermal resistance of the microorganisms and considering the heterogeneity of the actual populations by the thermoresistance index was demonstrated.  相似文献

A revision of previously known material and analysis of new records of Miocene baleen whales from the Sarmatian of Adygea (city of Maikop, Blinovo Formation) resulted in the establishment of a new genus, Kurdalagonus with three species: K. mchedlidzei sp. nov. (Middle Sarmatian, Nagiezh-Uashkh locality), K. adygeicus sp. nov. (Upper Sarmatian, Hydroelectric power station locality), and K. maicopicus (Spasskii, 1951) (=Cetotherium maicopicum Spasskii, 1951; Middle Sarmatian, Hydroelectric power station locality).  相似文献

Based on an almost complete skeleton (skull, scapula fragment, humeri, ulna, radius, 7 cervical, 12 thoracic, and 20 lumbar and caudal vertebrae) from the Aksai River valley near the village of Sayasan (Nozhai-Yurtovskii District of the Chechen Republic), a new Middle-Late Miocene representative of the cetotheriid subfamily Herpetocetinae, Vampalus sayasanicus gen. et sp. nov., is described. This is the first record of fossil whales in Chechnya. The genus Vampalus is also considered to include Cetotherium helmerseni Brandt, 1871 from the Miocene of the Krasnodar Region.  相似文献

Neuronal activity is tightly coupled with brain energy metabolism. Numerous studies have proved that glucose is not a sole energy substrate for neurons; metabolic monocarboxylate intermediates derived from glucose (pyruvate and lactate) released by astrocytes are shown to be taken up and oxidized by neurons, and, moreover, could serve as neuroprotective agents. Herein, we presented the data that extracellular pyruvate (4 mM) in the presence of glucose caused the increase in synaptosomal ATP content from 3.48+/-0.30 to 4.38+/-0.23 nmol/mg of protein. This correlates with the enhanced accumulation of fluorescent dye acridine orange in the available and the recycling synaptic vesicles within the synaptosomes reflecting the improved generation of proton gradient through the synaptic vesicle membrane. We have also demonstrated the effect of extracellular pyruvate on distribution of [3H]GABA between synaptic vesicles and cytoplasm in loaded synaptosomes. To estimate [3H]GABA accumulation into the synaptic vesicles, Ca 2+-dependent 4-aminopyridine-triggered exocytotic neurotransmitter release was studied. Evaluation of cytosolic 1H]GABA pool was performed by measuring the Ca2+-independent transporter-mediated neurotransmitter release evoked by nipecotic acid or high K+. The presence of pyruvate resulted in doubled exocytotic release of [3H]GABA, and significantly attenuated Ca2+-independent release of cytosolic [3H]GABA. Together, these observations provide insight into the important role of glucose metabolic intermediate, pyruvate, in sustaining activity of vesicular inhibitory amino acid transporter and so normal inhibitory transmission. We propose to use pyruvate for keeping up synaptosomal preparations in state of metabolic stability.  相似文献
