The organic solvent extract of Kumazasa leaves (Sasa albo-marginata) showed antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi and yeast. Kumazasa at a concentration of 0.2-1.0% showed stronger antimicrobial activity than potassium sorbate or sodium benzoate at the same concentration. Both acidic and phenolic fractions of the extract showed strong antimicrobial activity. Thirty acidic and phenolic compounds were identified by GC and GC-MS analysis. Acetic, propionic, benzoic, phenylacetic, salicylic, 3-hydroxybenzoic and o-anisic acids, and guaiacol, phenol, 4-ethylphenol, xylenol and 4-vinylphenol were the main components. It was estimated that these components play an important role in the formation of the antimicrobial activity of Kumazasa extract. 相似文献

The flavonoid constituents of defatted soybeans were studied. Two kinds of new natural isoflavones and four kinds of isoflavones were isolated by rechromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH–20 columns of ethyl acetate extracts.One of the new isoflavones was identified as 6″-O-acetyl daidzin, C23H22O10, by UV, IR, PMR and CMR, and the four kinds of isoflavones were also identified as daidzein, daidzin, genistein and genistin.High performance liquid chromatography of the ethyl acetate and acetone extracts were carried out, and six main peaks corresponding to the six isoflavones were recognized.Glycitein and glycitein-7-O-glucoside were not detected in the soybeans. 相似文献

During differentiation after auxin withdrawal, the change in the ethylene production of Hiproly barley callus paralleled the change in 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) content. The levels of ACC and ethylene production decreased rapidly, and then increased in Hiproly barley callus.Aminooxyacetic acid (AOA) prevented the ACC and ethylene production of the callus. Moreover, aminoisobutyric acid (AIB) also inhibited the ethylene production, but did not prevent the ACC synthesis of the callus. On the other hand, methylglyoxal-bis(guanylhydrazone) (MGBG) greatly enhanced the ACC and ethylene production. Formation of adventitious roots in Hiproly barley callus was enhanced by the cultivation in the medium containing AIB or AOA. However, differentiation of the callus was strongly inhibited by MGBG.Thus, prevention of ethylene production may be significant for differentiation of Hiproly barley callus. 相似文献

Phosphodiesterase was solubilized from bovine milk microsomes and partially purified. The RNase (EC 2.7.7.16) in bovine milk was partially purified from milk whey. The basic properties and the hydrolyzing specificity of this enzyme were studied. This enzyme was heat stable. When RNA was used as the substrate, the pH optimum was 7.5 and 3′- nucleotides were produced, but the extent of the hydrolysis stopped at 31 per cent and core was left. Seeds of grain amaranths contain a high amount (about 60% of total nitrogen) of albumin and globulin and a trace amount of prolamin. From salt-soluble extracts of A. hypochondriacus seeds, a globulin (440,000 in apparent molecular weight and ) was purified by Sepharose 6B gel and DEAE-cellulose column chromatographies. The protein comprised at least four kinds of subunits whose molecular weights were 36,000, 32,000, 20,000 and 18,000, respectively. The amino acid composition of the globulin was almost similar to those of soybean and oat globulins. 相似文献
