Data on the dynamics of parasite fauna if the bream Abramis brama for 50-year period are presented. The relation between trophic status of the reservoir, preferred type of the bream feeding, and the abundance of its parasites is shown. It was established, that the number of parasites developing in plankton organisms increases during the period of intensive eutrophication. Recent data on the parasite fauna of bream indicate preferred feeding of the host on benthic invertebrates, that is favourable to its growth. Permanent tendency to the increase of the bream invasion by the Diplostomum metacercaria could be a reliable parasitological indicator of the water body eutrophication.  相似文献

Dynamics of abundance and changes of populations structure were investigated in a host-specific parasite of salmonids, cestode Proteocephalus longicollis from the vendace Coregonus albula L. of the Syamozero Lake during the period of more than forty years. A relative stability of the values of infestation indices independently of significant changes in the abundance and population structure of the vendace is established. Changes in the distribution of abundance and population structure of P. longicollis are shown to be connected with the change of the water body's status resulting from eutrophication. These changes can be considered as reliable indices of the succession in freshwater bodies.  相似文献

The cytochrome P-450-dependent monooxygenase system of the liver was studied in laboratory noninbred male rats selected according to the intensity of their initial alcohol motivation and the dynamics of these parameters was followed up during 10-day alcoholisation. It was shown that in the animals inclined to the development of alcoholism the activity of the monooxygenase system (cytochrome P-450, B5; enzymes: aminopyrine N-demethylase, aniline p-hydroxylase, NADPH-cytochrome c-reductase) is higher than in the animals noninclined to the development of this disease. 10-day alcohol consumption in the free-choice situation between water and 15% ethanol solution did not change the parameters investigated. The only exception was NADPH-cytochrome c-reductase: its activity grew in both the groups of the animals by 40-75%.  相似文献

The European smelt Osmerus eperlanus had been accidentally introduced into the ecosystem of the Syamozero Lake (Karelia). The population of this species has achieved a high density and caused serious changes in the structure and trophic relationships of fish community of the Syamozero ecosystem. The microsporidia Glugea hertwigi Weisenberg, 1921 has become a new and super-dominant parasite of the european smelt in this ecosystem. The invasion of microsporidia has caused a mass death of fishes, that has led to changes in population structure of the smelt and lowered a fish catch. The present study suggests to show a role of parasites in the ichthyocenosis structure regulation in freshwater ecosystem.  相似文献

We present a mathematical model of the dynamics of a spatially heterogeneous predator-prey population system. A prototype of the model system is the Syamozero lake fish community. We study the impact of the invader, an intermediate predator, on the dynamics of the fish community. We show that the invasion can lead to the appearance of chaotic oscillations in the population density. We show also that different dynamical regimes resulting from the invasion, i.e., stationary, non-chaotic oscillatory and chaotic ones, can coexist. The "choice" of a specific regime therewith depends on the initial invader density. Our analysis of solutions of the mathematical models shows that the successful invasion of the alien species takes place solely in the absence of the competition between the invaders and the native species.  相似文献

This work describes the dynamics of the vendace population in Syamozero and provides an evaluation of its current state based on data collected for more than 75 years. The main biological parameters of the fish (body length and mass, gender, maturity stage, and fecundity) are analyzed. 1. We describe the synthesis of a glucosamine derivative of phosphatidylglycerol having the same structure as that of the natural compound isolated from Bacillus megaterium. 2. 2-O-(3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-2-deoxy-2-phthalimido-d-glucopyranosyl)-3-O-benzyl-1-iodo-sn-glycerol was prepared by a Königs–Knorr condensation between 3-O-benzyl-1-toluene-p-sulphonyl-sn-glycerol and 3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-1-bromo-2-deoxy-2-phthalimido-d-glucopyranose followed by replacement of the toluene-p-sulphonyl group with iodine. The iodide was treated with the silver salt of 2-isolauroyl-1-oleoyl-sn-glycerol 3-(monobenzyl hydrogen phosphate) to form the fully protected phosphoglycolipid. 3. Removal of benzyl protecting groups by catalytic hydrogenolysis, phthaloyl group with hydrazine and acetyl groups with pH10 buffer furnished 2-O-(2-amino-2-deoxy-d-glucopyranosyl)-1-(2-isolauroyl-1-stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoryl)-sn-glycerol. 4. The synthetic and natural compounds appeared identical when compared by chromatography and by identification of hydrolysis products from chemical and enzymic degradations.  相似文献

We have developed a conceptual mathematical model of the dynamics of a spatially heterogeneous population system, the prototype of which is the Syamozero lake fish community. Based on the analysis of solutions of the model, we show that interrelations between prey and predator populations in two neighboring habitats (pelagic and offshore zones) can lead to both undamped oscillations and stationary values of the population size. The population density was found to be close to the values oblained in the course of long-term observations of the biota of the Syamozero lake. Besides, we showed that the transition to the stationary states can be accompanied by long-term (dozens and hundreds of years) damped oscillations of the prey and predator population size. In natural waters, long-term transition periods can prevent the attainment of stationary regimes of fish community functioning.  相似文献

1. Wetlands are threatened by desiccation, eutrophication and changing water quality, generally leading to greatly altered biogeochemical processes. Sulphate pollution can lead to severe eutrophication and sulphide toxicity, but may also interact with the availability of iron and other metals. 2. In the present study, we examined the biogeochemical interactions between sulphate and iron availability, and their effects on aquatic macrophytes, in a field experiment with enclosures. The natural iron supply by groundwater was mimicked by adding iron to the sediment, and the effect of increased sulphate concentrations in the surface water was also studied. The enclosure experiment was performed in a mesotrophic, anaerobic ditch in a peat meadow reserve in the Netherlands. In all enclosures, three Stratiotes aloides plants were introduced to serve as indicator species. 3. Addition of sulphate led to the mobilisation of phosphate, whereas addition of iron or both iron and sulphate did not affect P mobilisation. Growth of S. aloides was decreased by both iron addition and sulphate addition (sulphide toxicity). Addition of iron under sulphidic conditions, however, led to mutual detoxification of both toxicants (iron and sulphide) and did not decrease S. aloides growth. The uptake of metals was highest in the treatment involving sulphate addition, probably as a result of increased mineralisation of the peat soil. 4. Growth of Elodea nuttallii, which grew naturally in the enclosures, was stimulated by iron or iron plus sulphate addition. It did not, however, grow in the enclosures with sulphate addition, as a result of sulphide toxicity or sulphide‐induced iron deficiency. Under iron‐rich conditions, E. nuttallii appeared to be a better competitor than S. aloides and depressed the growth of the latter species. 5. We propose that the growth of S. aloides is directly regulated by interactions between sulphide and iron and indirectly by the effects of both compounds on the competitive strength of E. nuttallii. In general, we conclude that biogeochemical interactions between sulphate and iron can have a strong influence on plant species composition in freshwater wetlands, because of direct effects or changes in the competitive strength of plant species related to differential sensitivity to either iron or sulphide.  相似文献

The results of the introduction of coregonids—the whitefish Coregonus lavaretus and the European cisco C. albula—to Lake Vashozero are considered. It is shown that a positive result was obtained from the introduction of the European cisco; it has naturalized in the lake and successfully reproduces. The biology of the European cisco in a water body new for it was studied, and it was compared to its initial form from Onega Lake. The structure of trophic relations in the water body has changed with the introduction of the European cisco. Previously there was one flow of matter and energy in the lake: benthos—benthophagous fish—carnivorous fish. Now, however, another flow has been added: plankton—European cisco—carnivorous fish.  相似文献
