A new charge recombination layer for inverted tandem polymer solar cells is reported. A bilayer of MoOX/Al2O3:ZnO nanolaminate is shown to enable efficient charge recombination in inverted tandem cells. A polymer surface modification on the MoOX/Al2O3:ZnO nanolaminate bilayer increases the work function contrast between the two outward surfaces of the charge recombination layer, further improving the performance of tandem solar cells. An analysis of the electrical, optical, and surface properties of the charge recombination layer is presented. Inverted tandem polymer solar cells, with two photoactive layers comprising poly (3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT):indene‐C60 bisadduct (IC60BA) for the bottom cell and poly[(4,8‐bis‐(2‐ethylhexyloxy)‐benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b']dithiophene)‐2,6‐diyl‐alt‐(4‐(2‐ethylhexanoyl)‐thieno[3,4‐b]thiophene))‐2,6‐diyl] (PBDTTT‐C):[6,6]‐phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PC60BM) for the top cell, yield an open‐circuit voltage of 1481 mV ± 15 mV, a short‐circuit current density of 7.1 mA cm?2 ± 0.1 mA cm?2, and a fill factor of 0.62 ± 0.01, resulting in a power conversion efficiency of 6.5% ± 0.1% under simulated AM 1.5G, 100 mW cm?2 illumination. 相似文献

Many receptors for endocytosis recycle into and out of cells through early endosomes. We now find in dendritic cells that the DEC-205 multilectin receptor targets late endosomes or lysosomes rich in major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC II) products, whereas the homologous macrophage mannose receptor (MMR), as expected, is found in more peripheral endosomes. To analyze this finding, the cytosolic tails of DEC-205 and MMR were fused to the external domain of the CD16 Fcgamma receptor and studied in stable L cell transfectants. The two cytosolic domains each mediated rapid uptake of human immunoglobulin (Ig)G followed by recycling of intact CD16 to the cell surface. However, the DEC-205 tail recycled the CD16 through MHC II-positive late endosomal/lysosomal vacuoles and also mediated a 100-fold increase in antigen presentation. The mechanism of late endosomal targeting, which occurred in the absence of human IgG, involved two functional regions: a membrane-proximal region with a coated pit sequence for uptake, and a distal region with an EDE triad for the unusual deeper targeting. Therefore, the DEC-205 cytosolic domain mediates a new pathway of receptor-mediated endocytosis that entails efficient recycling through late endosomes and a greatly enhanced efficiency of antigen presentation to CD4(+) T cells. 相似文献

Horizontal binocular eye movements of three subjects were recorded with the scleral sensor coil--revolving magnetic field technique during voluntary shifts of gaze between pairs of stationary, real, continuously visible targets. The target pairs were located either along the median plane (requiring symmetrical vergence), or on either side of the median plane (requiring asymmetrical vergence). Symmetrical vergence was primarily smooth, but it was often assisted by small, disjunctive saccades. Peak vergence speeds were very high; they increased from about 50 degrees s-1 for vergence changes of 5 degrees to between 150 and 200 degrees s-1 for vergence changes of 34 degrees. Differences between convergence and divergence were idiosyncratic. Asymmetrical vergence, requiring a vergence of 11 degrees combined with a version of 45 degrees, was largely saccadic. Unequal saccades mediated virtually all (95%) of the vergence required in the divergent direction, whereas 75% of the vergence required in the convergent direction was mediated by unequal saccades, with the remaining convergence mediated by smooth vergence, following completion of the saccades. Peak divergence speeds during these saccades were very high (180 degrees s-1 for a change of vergence of 11 degrees); much faster than the smooth, symmetrical vergence change of comparable size (14 degrees). Peak convergent saccadic speeds were about 20% lower. This difference in peak speed was caused by an initial, transient divergence, observed at the beginning of all horizontal saccades. The waveform of disjunctive saccades did not have the same shape as the waveform of conjugate saccades of similar size. The smaller saccade of the disjunctive pair was stretched out in time so as to have the same duration as its larger, companion saccade. These results permitted the conclusion that the subsystems controlling saccades and vergence are not independent. Vergence responses were relatively slow and incomplete with monocular viewing, which excluded disparity as a cue. Monocularly stimulated vergence decreased as a function of the increasing presbyopia of our three subjects. Subjects were able to generate some vergence in darkness towards previously seen and remembered targets. Such responses, however, were slow, irregular and evanescent. In conclusion, vergence shifts between targets, which provided all natural cues to distance, were fast and accurate; they appeared adequate to provide effective binocular vision under natural conditions. Venous and arterial thrombosis are conditions that have a considerable burden if left untreated. The hypoxia-induced by the occluded vessel can disrupt the circulation of any organ, the cornerstone of treating thrombosis is rapid diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Diagnosis of thrombosis may be made by using laboratory tests or imaging techniques in individuals who have clinical manifestations of a thrombotic event. The use of serum micro ribonucleic acids (RNAs) has recently been applied to the diagnosis of thrombosis. These small RNA molecules are emerging as new diagnostic markers but have had very limited applications in vascular disease. Most of the articles provided various microRNAs with different levels of accuracy. However, there remains a lack of an appropriate panel of the most specific microRNA in the literature. The availability of sequence information for many plants has opened the way to advanced genetic analysis in many non-model plants. Nevertheless, exploration of genetic variation on a large scale and its use as a tool for the identification of traits of interest are still rare. In this study, we combined a bulk segregation approach with our own-designed microarrays to map the pH locus that influences fruit pH in melon. Using these technologies, we identified a set of markers that are genetically linked to the pH trait. Further analysis using a set of melon cultivars demonstrated that some of these markers are tightly linked to the pH trait throughout our germplasm collection. These results validate the utility of combining microarray technology with a bulk segregation approach in mapping traits of interest in non-model plants. 相似文献

Thiosemicarbazones (1-7) and their palladium(II) complexes (1a-7a) of the type [Pd(TSCN)Cl(2)] (where TSCN=thiosemicarbazone) were prepared from 5-nitro thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde and [Pd(DMSO)(2)Cl(2)], respectively. Coordination via the thionic sulphur and the azomethine nitrogen atom of the thiosemicarbazones to the metal ion were confirmed by spectral data. These compounds were screened in vitro against (HK-9) strain of Entamoeba histolytica possess amoebicidal properties. Enhancement of antiamoebic activity resulted due to the introduction of palladium metal in the thiosemicarbazone moiety. The most promising of the group tested are [Pd(5-N-2-TCA-COTSCN)Cl(2)] and [Pd(5-N-2-TCA-AdmTSCN)Cl(2)] comparable to that of metronidazole. 相似文献

Zaprionus indianus is a cosmopolitan drosophilid, of Afrotropical origin, which has recently colonized South America. The sexual dimorphism
(SD) of body size is low, males being almost as big as females. We investigated 10 natural populations, 5 from America and
5 from Africa, using the isofemale line technique. Three traits were measured on each fly: wing and thorax length and sternopleural
bristle number. Two indices of SD were compared, and found to be highly correlated (r > 0.99). For the sake of simplicity, only the female/male (F/M) ratio was further considered. A significant genetic variability
of SD was found in all cases, although with a low heritability (intra-class correlation of 0.13), about half the value found
for the traits themselves. For size SD, we did not find any variation among continents or any latitudinal trend, and average
values were 1.02 for wing length and 1.01 for thorax length. Bristle number SD was much greater (1.07). Among mass laboratory
strains, SD was genetically much more variable than in recently collected populations, a likely consequence of laboratory
drift. Altogether, SD, although genetically variable and prone to laboratory drift, is independent of size variations and
