Immunoglobulin E (IgE) has been suggested as a risk factor for allergy-induced low blood pressure, which has not been well explained in molecular details. Our current study shows a novel mechanism involving IgE, Fc?R1, miRNA-212-5p (miR-212-5p), and sodium/calcium exchanger protein 1(NCX1) for asthma to induce hypotension. In arterial smooth muscle cells, IgE up-regulated miR212-5p via its receptor Fc?R1, which resulted in down-regulation of NCX1 that is a regulating factor for blood pressure. In mice, asthma induced hypotension by interfering vasoconstrictive function; knockout of Fc?R1 kept the asthmatic mice from developing hypotension; knock-down of miR-212-5p in asthmatic mice resulted in a significant restoration of blood pressure. In human, asthma and IgE were positively correlated with hypotension in cohort study on NIH epidemiological data. This study suggests a novel therapeutic target (miR-212-5p) for treatment of asthma-induced hypotension. 相似文献

Phenotypic plasticity is the environmental modification of genotypic expression
and an important means by which individual plants respond to environmental heterogeneity.
The study of phenotypic plasticity in the genus Adenophora, which is very complicated taxo nomically because of great morphological variation, proves to be helpful in both investigating
the phenotypic variation so as to evaluate potential taxonomic value of their characters and
providing important sources of information on the variation, adaptation and evolution of the
genus. Twenty-three populations representing all the six species in Adenophora potaninii
complex were transplanted into the garden. Of them six populations were selected for study ing their performance in the field and in the garden, in addition to cultivation experiment
under different treatments. The results show that there exists considerable developmental
plasticity in some leaf, floral and capsule characters. In particular, the leaf shape and length
of calyx lobe display significant developmental variation with the maximum being three times
as great as the minimum, which is noteworthy because they were previously considered as
diagnostic. The characters of root, caudex, stem and inflorescence are found to be very
plastic, especially the root diameter, the number of stems, stem height and inflorescence
length with great environmental plasticity. In addition, the populations from different habi tats show distinct amounts of plasticity. On the contrary, the characters of leaf, floral, cap sule and seed are less influenced by environments. It seems that the considerable variation in
the characters of leaf is attributed mainly to genetic differences. Finally, the phenotypic

Objectives
To investigate whether miR-1260b can regulate migration and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by targeting RGS22.Results
miR-1260b was up-regulated in HCC tissues compared with their corresponding non-cancerous tissues. Over-expression of miR-1260b increased migration and invasion of HepG2 and SMMC-7721 cells associated with HCC. Regulator of G-protein signaling 22 (RGS22) was identified as a directly target of miR-1260b and was inhibited by miR-1260b. Knockdown of RGS22 increased proliferation of HCC cells.Conclusions
The new identified miR-1260b/RGS22 axis provides useful therapeutic methods for treatment of HCC deepening on our understanding of underlying mechanisms of HCC tumorigenesis.995.

Under intensive environmental stress, reported that plants have complementary and positive interactions instead of competition among species. In order to examine whether there as a possible correlation between the performance of Halenia corniculata and the coverage/height of other plants with the same distribution, a total of 30 plots were established at two representative distributional areas. The height, total number of chasmogamous flowers and cleistogamous flowers, their overall plots coverage, and observed plants species on each plot were determined. Our results revealed that the number of chasmogamous and cleistogamous flowers of Halenia corniculata was increased when its height was increased. The performance of Halenia corniculata was found to have a significant correlation with the overall coverage of observed plants species in the plot as well as the height of observed plants in established plots. Our results suggest that the biennial plant Halenia corniculata might be able to choose a site inhabited by other perennial plants in the high-altitude region under environmental stress for appropriate growth and reproduction. One main reason that Halenia corniculata seedlings could be established in regions where other plants are inhabited might be due to the degree of light requirement by the seedling stage is different from that at the adult stage. The size of Halenia corniculata population in South Korea was found to be proportional to that of available sites that could support its life cycle, suggesting that available sites need to be secure in order to maintain its life cycle. 相似文献

Background
Identifying complexes from PPI networks has become a key problem to elucidate protein functions and identify signal and biological processes in a cell. Proteins binding as complexes are important roles of life activity. Accurate determination of complexes in PPI networks is crucial for understanding principles of cellular organization.Results
We propose a novel method to identify complexes on PPI networks, based on different co-expression information. First, we use Markov Cluster Algorithm with an edge-weighting scheme to calculate complexes on PPI networks. Then, we propose some significant features, such as graph information and gene expression analysis, to filter and modify complexes predicted by Markov Cluster Algorithm. To evaluate our method, we test on two experimental yeast PPI networks.Conclusions
On DIP network, our method has Precision and F-Measure values of 0.6004 and 0.5528. On MIPS network, our method has F-Measure and S n values of 0.3774 and 0.3453. Comparing to existing methods, our method improves Precision value by at least 0.1752, F-Measure value by at least 0.0448, S n value by at least 0.0771. Experiments show that our method achieves better results than some state-of-the-art methods for identifying complexes on PPI networks, with the prediction quality improved in terms of evaluation criteria.998.

T cells have been successfully applied to cancer immunotherapy. However, a challenge is an expansion of T cells from cynomolgus monkey, which is a valuable non-human primate model for T cell therapy transferring to the clinic. Here, we compared several strategies to expand cynomolgus monkey T cell and developed an appropriate method. Our study demonstrated that 100 ng/ml CD3 mAb?+?1% PHA+ 1000 U/ml IL2 therapy significantly expanded peripheral blood CD3+ T cells without compromising T cell phenotype in vitro. The results of this study could be used for T cell remodeling, which has significant therapeutic potential in Chimeric Antigen Receptor-T (CAR-T) cell immunotherapy. 相似文献
