Schizophyllan (SPG) is a commercially attractive biopolymer produced by Schizophyllum commune. An investigation on the potential for SPG production by Iranian native S. commune was conducted based on culture medium, fermentation conditions and bioreactor type, . Nine native fungal strains were isolated from the northern forest of Iran at different times. Based on growth rate and SPG production, one strain was selected for further study. Optimal medium composition and inoculum size for maximizing SPG production and minimizing biomass were determined using central composite design by setting sucrose, yeast extract, inoculum size, carboxymethyl cellulose and oleic acid in the ranges of 50–200 g/L, 1–4 g/L, 2–10%, 2–12 g/L and 0.032–0.222%, respectively. The results showed that optimal results were obtained at 93.47 g/L sucrose, 1.87 g/L yeast extract, 7.68% inoculum size, 9.07 g/L carboxymethyl cellulose and 0.13% oleic acid, with maximum SPG production of 9.97 g/L and minimum biomass of 35.18 g/L. Under these optimal conditions, the production of SPG was studied in stirred tank and bubble column bioreactors. The results revealed greater production in the stirred tank because of better mixing of the culture medium. The SPG produced was characterized using rheometery, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance), scanning electron microscopy and gel permeation chromatography. The results of these characterizations demonstrated the similarity of the SPG produced by S. commune IBRC-M 30213 to commercial SPG. Thus, the SPG produced shows good potential as a polysaccharide for use in various industries. 相似文献

In the past few years, organic–inorganic metal halide ABX3 perovskites (A = Rb, Cs, methylammonium, formamidinium (FA); B = Pb, Sn; X = Cl, Br, I) have rapidly emerged as promising materials for photovoltaic applications. Tuning the film morphology by various deposition techniques and additives is crucial to achieve solar cells with high performance and long‐term stability. In this work, carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) containing functional groups are added to the perovskite precursor solution for fabrication of fluorine‐doped tin oxide/TiO2/perovskite/spiro‐OMeTAD/gold devices. With the addition of CNPs, the perovskite films are thermally more stable, contain larger grains, and become more hydrophobic. NMR experiments provide strong evidence that the functional groups of the CNPs interact with FA cations already in the precursor solution. The fabricated solar cells show a power‐conversion efficiency of 18% and negligible hysteresis. 相似文献

Growth of Chlorella vulgaris and its lipid production were investigated under autotrophic, heterotrophic, and mixotrophic conditions. Cheap agricultural waste molasses and corn steep liquor from industries were used as carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively. Chlorella vulgaris grew remarkably under this agricultural waste medium, which resulted in a reduction in the final cost of the biodiesel production. Maximum dry weight of 2.62 g L?1 was obtained in mixotrophic growth with the highest lipid concentration of 0.86 g L?1. These biomass and lipid concentrations were, respectively, 140% and 170% higher than autotrophic growth and 300% and 1200% higher than heterotrophic growth. In mixotrophic growth, independent or simultaneous occurrence of autotrophic and heterotrophic metabolisms was investigated. The growth of the microalgae was observed to take place first heterotrophically to a minimum substrate concentration with a little fraction in growth under autotrophic metabolism, and then the cells grew more autotrophically. It was found that mixotrophic growth was not a simple combination of heterotrophic and autotrophic growth. 相似文献

The present study describes the length–weight relationships (LWRs) and condition factors (K) of Alburnoides samiii and Ponticola iranicus in the Sefidroud River from the southern Caspian Sea basin, September 2013 to August 2014. This study investigated the effects of various culture parameters (carbon sources, temperature, initial pH of culture, NaCl concentration, and light) on the growth and canthaxanthin production by Dietzia natronolimnaea HS-1. The results showed that the most effective carbon source for growth and canthaxantin production was glucose, and the best pH and temperature were 7 and 31 degrees C, respectively. In addition, the biomass and canthaxanthin production increased in a medium without NaCl and in the presence of light. Under the optimized conditions, the maximum biomass, total carotenoid, and canthaxanthin production were 6.12 +/- 0.21 g/l, 4.51 +/- 0.20 mg/l, and 4.28 +/- 0.15 mg/l, respectively, in an Erlenmeyer flask system, yet increased to 7.25 g/l, 5.48 mg/l, and 5.29 mg/l, respectively, in a batch fermenter system. 相似文献

A new locality is reported for the Iranian subterranean fishes Garra typhlops and Garra lorestanensis (and probably Eidinemacheilus smithi), near the village Tuveh in the Dez River drainage. The site is 31 km straight‐line distance away from the only other known locality where these species have been observed previously. The finding suggests the presence of a sizeable subterranean aquifer system in the Tigris drainage extending for between 31 and 162 km. 相似文献
