Human homologues of mouse t-complex genes have been cloned and localized physically to chromosome 6p or 6q. TCP1, TCP10, and PLG are human homologues of genes located in the proximal portion of the t-complex on mouse chromosome 17. We present here results of genetic mapping of these human t-complex homologues previously localized to 6q25-q27, 6q21-q27, and 6q26-q27, respectively, by physical techniques. TCP1 and PLG do not recombine with each other and are separated from TCP10 by about 15 cM, while the corresponding mouse genes are no more than 4 cM apart. Genetic mapping with markers well localized cytogenetically places TCP1 and PLG proximal to TCP10 and localizes the latter to the cytogenetic band 6q27. It is likely that the organization of human t-complex homologues on 6q is similar to that of t haplotypes rather than that of wildtype murine chromosome 17.  相似文献

The peripheral chemoreceptors of the trigeminal system in the nasal cavity are presumed to be free nerve endings arising from Adelta and C fibers. These fibers appear to be scattered throughout the nasal epithelium, and arise from the nasopalatine and ethmoid branches of the trigeminal nerve. In the present study, the effects of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) blockers on ethmoid nerve responses to nicotine and cyclohexanone were examined. Multiunit neural recordings were obtained from the ethmoid nerve of Sprague-Dawley rats. Vapor-phase nicotine (12.5 p.p.m.) and cyclohexanone (450 p.p. m.) were delivered to the rats' nares via an air-dilution olfactometer. The magnitude of the response to nicotine decreased after the administration of the nAChR blockers dihydro-beta-erythroidine hydrobromide (DHBE) and mecamylamine hydrochloride. DHBE is a competitive nicotinic receptor antagonist specific for the alpha4beta2 receptor subtype and mecamylamine is known to bind alpha3beta4 and alpha4beta2 receptors. The nAChR blockers had no effect on ethmoid nerve responses to cyclohexanone. These results suggest that the mechanism by which at least one irritant stimulates nasal trigeminal nerve endings involves the binding of irritant with a specific receptor.  相似文献

The responses of single vibratory receptors and ascending ventral cord interneurones were studied extracellularly in Gryllus campestris L. The physiology of the vibration receptors resembled those found in tettigoniids and locusts. The frequency responses of the subgenual receptors provide two possible cues for central frequency discrimination: differences in mean tuning between groups of receptors in the different leg pairs and a range of receptors tuned to different frequencies within one subgenual organ.Most of the ascending vibratory interneurones were highly sensitive in either the low or high frequency range. Broadbanded neurones were less sensitive. The characteristic sensitivity peaks of these units are due mainly to receptor inputs from a particular leg pair, although most central neurones receive inputs from all 6 legs. Only one neurone type, TN1 received excitatory inputs from both auditory and vibratory receptors; its responses were greatly enhanced by the simultaneous presentation of both stimulus modes. The responses to sound stimuli of AN2, on the other hand, were inhibited by vibration. No other auditory interneurones investigated were influenced by inputs from vibration receptors. Central processing of vibratory information in the cricket is compared with that of tettigoniids and locusts.  相似文献

Studies of the effect of pentobarbital anesthesia on the radiation response have been performed using early generation isotransplants of three spontaneous tumors of the C3H mouse: a mammary carcinoma (MCaIV), a fibrosarcoma (FSaII), and a squamous cell carcinoma (SCCVII). The enhancement ratio of pentobarbital [ER(PB)] for TCD50 as the end point was greater than or equal to 1 for all conditions tested. The ER(PB) for O2 3 ATA conditions and two equal doses was 1.46, 1.72, and 2.21 for MCaIV, FSaII, and SCCVII, respectively. The ER(PB) using MCaIV was the same for O2 and carbogen at 1 or 3 ATA. Also, tumor size of MCaIV did not significantly affect the ER(PB) for O2 3 ATA conditions. Further, with the two-dose protocol the anesthesia and the hyperbaric oxygen needed to be used at the second dose; condition at the first dose was not critical. For fractionated irradiation of MCaIV (10 and 15 equal doses) the ER(PB) was smaller than for two-dose treatment; also the effect was less for intratumor temperature of 35 degrees C than 26-27 degrees C. There was no effect of the anesthesia on the acute response of normal skin of the leg. Lung damage by hyperbaric oxygen was not an important factor in these results. Additionally, ERs were computed for O2 at 3 ATA. This ER(O2 3 ATA) was larger for anesthesized than conscious mice. The ER(O2 3 ATA) for MCaIV was high (greater than 1.5) even for radiation given in 10 or 15 equal doses.  相似文献

Direct innervation of GnRH neurons by encephalic photoreceptors in birds   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In nonmammalian vertebrates, photic cues that regulate the timing of seasonal reproductive cyclicity are detected by nonretinal, nonpineal deep brain photoreceptors. It has long been assumed that the underlying mechanism involves the transmission of photic information from the photoreceptor to a circadian system, and thence to the reproductive axis. An alternative hypothesis is that there is direct communication between the brain photoreceptor and the reproductive axis. In the present study, light and confocal microscopy reveal that gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons and processes are scattered among photoreceptor cells (identified by their opsin-immunoreactivity) in the lateral septum (SL). In the median eminence (ME), opsin and GnRH immunoreactive fibers overlap extensively. Single and double label ultrastructural immunocytochemistry indicate that in the SL and preoptic area (POA), opsin positive terminals form axo-dendritic synapses onto GnRH dendrites. In the ME, opsin and GnRH terminals lie adjacent to each other, make contact with tanycytes, or terminate on the hypophyseal portal capillaries. These results reveal thatbrain photoreceptors communicate directly with GnRH-neurons; this represents a means by which photoperiodic information reaches the reproductive axis.  相似文献
