Quality assessment of clinical health care with the programme of quality standard is a method of health management, through which better efficiency and safety of health outcomes can be achieved. In the period from 2002 to 2004, a pilot program of quality has been carried out on the Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Center in Zagreb. Seven internal audit teams of hospital commission and teams of hospital departments were evaluating introducing practice for quality standards every three months. In the period of two years improvement in all standards of quality has been noticed (expressed in percent of progress towards the ideal result of 100%): personnel 20%, patient rights 15%, medical equipment 40%, quality of emergency service 60%, implementation of clinical guidelines and criteria for elective admission 55%, quality of risk prevention 70%, quality of medical records 60%. Social responsibility links personal behavior with societal expectations and plays a key role in affecting an agent’s emotional state following a decision. However, the neural basis of responsibility attribution remains unclear. In two previous event-related brain potential (ERP) studies we found that personal responsibility modulated outcome evaluation in gambling tasks. Here we conducted a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study to identify particular brain regions that mediate responsibility attribution. In a context involving team cooperation, participants completed a task with their teammates and on each trial received feedback about team success and individual success sequentially. We found that brain activity differed between conditions involving team success vs. team failure. Further, different brain regions were associated with reinforcement of behavior by social praise vs. monetary reward. Specifically, right temporoparietal junction (RTPJ) was associated with social pride whereas dorsal striatum and dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) were related to reinforcement of behaviors leading to personal gain. The present study provides evidence that the RTPJ is an important region for determining whether self-generated behaviors are deserving of praise in a social context.  相似文献

Two bacterial strains isolated from root nodules of soybean were characterized phylogenetically as members of a distinct group in the genus Ensifer based on 16S rRNA gene comparisons. They were also verified as a separated group by the concatenated sequence analyses of recA, atpD and glnII (with similarities ≤93.9% to the type strains for defined species), and by the average nucleotide identities (ANI) between the whole genome sequence of the representative strain CCBAU 251167T and those of the closely related strains in Ensifer glycinis and Ensifer fredii (90.5% and 90.3%, respectively). Phylogeny of symbiotic genes (nodC and nifH) grouped these two strains together with some soybean-nodulating strains of E. fredii, E. glycinis and Ensifer sojae. Nodulation tests indicated that the representative strain CCBAU 251167T could form root nodules with capability of nitrogen fixing on its host plant and Glycine soja, Cajanus cajan, Vigna unguiculata, Phaseolus vulgaris and Astragalus membranaceus, and it formed ineffective nodules on Leucaena leucocephala. Strain CCBAU 251167T contained fatty acids 18:1 ω9c, 18:0 iso and 20:0, differing from other related strains. Utilization of l-threonine and d-serine as carbon source, growth at pH 6.0 and intolerance of 1% (w/v) NaCl distinguished strain CCBAU 251167T from other type strains of the related species. The genome size of CCBAU 251167T was 6.2 Mbp, comprising 7,581 predicted genes with DNA G+C content of 59.9 mol% and 970 unique genes. Therefore, a novel species, Ensifer shofinae sp. nov., is proposed, with CCBAU 251167T (=ACCC 19939T = LMG 29645T) as type strain.  相似文献

对浙江宁海3个香榧单株种实种长、种径、种长径比(种形系数)、单种重、鲜出核率、核长、核径、核长径比(核形指数)、单核重9个性状指标进行了测定和统计分析,为香榧优株选育提供理论依据。结果表明:单种重平均值最大的是宁榧1号(9.17 g),单种重极大值出现在宁榧1号(13.6 g);单核重平均值最大的为宁榧1号(2.93 g)。平均鲜出核率最大的是宁榧3号,达到40.86%,鲜出核率极大值出现在宁榧2号(51.06%)。株间种长、种径、种长径比、核长、核长径比、单种重、单核重、鲜出核率指标均存在显著差异,而核径差异性不显著。种实性状变异幅度最大的指标为单核重(变异系数CV为22.68%),单种重(变异系数CV为21.18%)次之,最小的为种长径比(变异系数CV为4.49%)。种长、种径、核长、核径均与单种重和单核重有显著相关性,鲜出核率与种长、种径、单种重、呈极显著负相关,与种长径比呈极显著正相关。  相似文献

When cultured individually, isolated inner cell masses (ICMs) of the mouse blastocyst form an outer layer of endoderm and remain in suspension as spherical structures for several days. Conditioned media from certain teratocarcinoma- and blastocyst-derived cell lines contain one or more outgrowth promoting factors (OPF) which facilitate attachment and outgrowth of ICMs, in some cases prior to endoderm formation. OPF adheres to culture dishes and presumably promotes ICM cell outgrowth by alteration of the substratum. Analyses indicate that the active material is a nondialyzable protein which is stable to freezing and thawing, a wide range of pH, and extended incubation at 37°C. However, inactivation takes place at 60°C for 20 min. Although these properties of OPF are in some ways similar to those of various proteins which have been implicated in cell adhesion and spreading, differences between OPF and most of these other proteins are evident. The detection of OPF activity in conditioned medium from primary cultures of embryonic and some extraembryonic cell types suggests that the factor is biologically significant, perhaps, for example, in the spreading of parietal endoderm cells along the surface of the trophoblast layer.  相似文献

Figs and fig pollinators are one of the few classic textbook examples of obligate pollination mutualism. The specific dependence of fig pollinators on the relatively safe living environment with sufficient food sources in the enclosed fig syconia implies that they are vulnerable to habitat changes. However, there is still no extensive genomic evidence to reveal the evolutionary footprint of this long-term mutually beneficial symbiosis in fig pollinators. In fig syconia, there are also non-pollinator species. The non-pollinator species differ in their evolutionary and life histories from pollinators. We conducted comparative analyses on 11 newly sequenced fig wasp genomes and one previously published genome. The pollinators colonized the figs approximately 66.9 million years ago, consistent with the origin of host figs. Compared with nonpollinators, many more genes in pollinators were subject to relaxed selection. Seven genes were absent in pollinators in response to environmental stress and immune activation. Pollinators had more streamlined gene repertoires in the innate immune system, chemosensory toolbox, and detoxification system. Our results provide genomic evidence for the differentiation between pollinators and nonpollinators. The data suggest that owing to the long-term adaptation to the fig, some genes related to functions no longer required are absent in pollinators.  相似文献

In a survey of rhizobia associated with the native legumes in Yunnan Province, China, seven and nine strains isolated from the root nodules of Psoralea corylifolia, Sesbania cannabina and Medicago lupulina were respectively classified into the novel genomic species groups I and II in the genus Ensifer (former Sinorhizobium) based on the sequence analyses of the 16S rRNA gene. Analyses of concatenated housekeeping genes (atpD, recA and glnII) further revealed that they were distinct lineages in the genus, and group I was most similar to Ensifer terangae and Ensifer garamanticus (both with 94.2% similarity), while group II was most similar to Ensifer adhaerens (94.0%). These groups could be distinguished from closely related species by DNA–DNA relatedness, MALID-TOF MS, cellular fatty acid profiles and a series of phenotypic characters. Therefore, two novel species were proposed: Ensifer psoraleae sp. nov. (seven strains, type strain CCBAU 65732T = LMG 26835T = HAMBI 3286T) and Ensifer sesbaniae sp. nov. (nine strains, type strain CCBAU 65729T = LMG 26833T = HAMBI 3287T). They had a DNA G + C mol% (Tm) of 58.9 and 60.4, respectively. Both of the type strains formed effective nodules on common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) and their hosts of origin. In addition, the previously described species Sinorhizobium morelense and Sinorhizobium americanum were renamed as Ensifer morelense comb. nov. and Ensifer americanum comb. nov. according to the accumulated data from different studies.  相似文献

Chiral trifluoromethanesulfonamide 4, diphenylphosphoramides 5 and 6, and phenylthiophosphoramide 7 were prepared from the reaction of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride, diphenylphosphinic chloride, and diphenylthiophosphinic chloride with (R)-(+)-1,1'-binaphthyl-2, 2'-diamine, respectively. They were used as catalytic chiral ligands in the asymmetric addition reaction of diethylzinc to aldehydes in the presence of titanium(IV) isopropoxide to give the corresponding sec-alcohols with 43-54%, 18-22%, 30-34%, and 52-64% enantiomeric excess, respectively.
