A comprehensive study with the assessment of reactive responses to motor tasks was performed in nine patients with a tumor localized in the frontal divisions of the brain using two methodological approaches: functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and EEG. The data obtained were compared to the results of a similar study on 12 healthy subjects. It was established that cerebral pathology was associated with disorders of functional specialization and an increase in the diffuse component of reactivity. The fMRI responses were characterized by greater intactness compared to the EEG parameters of reactive changes. These features are especially marked when an afferent stimulus is sent to the damaged hemisphere. The characteristics of the involvement of individual EEG bands in the formation of motor responses and changes in the fMRI response topography are determined by the degree of cerebral dysfunction reflected by the pattern of baseline EEG reorganization and the severity of the motor defect. The predominant increase in the coherence of slow rhythms in the damaged hemisphere irrespective of the target of the afferent stimulus in patients with severe cerebral dysfunction reflects the dominant formation of a pathological focus and is indicative of a greater, compared to healthy subjects, involvement of deep brain structures in the reactive process, which is confirmed by the fMRI data.  相似文献

The unfertilized eggs of sand-dollars (Scaphechinus mirabilis) were treated with local anesthetics (novocaine, lidocaine, trimecaine) or phorbol ester for 10 min. The treatment with the local anesthetics increased pH of the cytoplasm in the unfertilized eggs (pHc) and changed the value of the pHc increment in response to fertilization, as compared with the control eggs. In the treated embryos, the onset of immigration of the primary mesenchyme cells was delayed but the hatching was accelerated. The phorbol ester treatment rapidly accelerated development from gastrulation on and practically did not affect the preceding stages.  相似文献

The dynamics of the expression of LMP7 and LMP2 proteasome subunits during embryonic and early postnatal development of rat spleen and liver was studied in comparison with the dynamics of chymotrypsin-like and caspase-like proteasome activities and expression of MHC (major histocompatibility complex) class I molecules. The distribution of LMP7 and LMP2 immune subunits in spleen and liver cells was also evaluated throughout development. The common tendency of both organs to increase the expression of both LMP7 and LMP2 subunits on the 21st postnatal day (P21) was found. However, the total proteasome level was shown to be constant. At certain developmental stages, the dynamics of immune subunits expression in the spleen and liver was different. While the gradual enhancement of both immune subunits was observed on P1, P18 and P21 in the spleen, the periods of gradual increase observed on E16 (the 16th embryonic day) and E18 gave way to a period of decrease in immune subunits on P5 in the liver. This level did not reliably change until P18 and increased on P21. The revealed changes were accompanied by an increase in chymotrypsin-like activity and a decrease in caspase-like activity in the spleen at P21 compared to the embryonic period. This indicates the increase in proteasome ability to form antigenic epitopes for MHC class I molecules. In the liver, both activities increased compared to the embryonic period by P21. The dynamics of caspase-like activity can be explained not only by the change of proteolytic constitutive and immune subunits, but also by additional regulatory mechanisms. Moreover, it was discovered that the increase in the expression of immune subunits during early spleen development is associated with the process of formation of white pulp by B- and T-lymphocytes enriched with immune subunits. In the liver, the increase in the level of immune subunits by P21 was also accompanied by an increase of their expression in hepatocytes. While the decrease of their level by P5 may be associated with the fact that the liver has lost its function as the primary lymphoid organ in the immune system by this time, as well as with the disappearance of B-lymphocytes enriched with immune proteasomes. In the spleen and the liver, MHC class I molecules were found during the periods of increased levels of proteasome immune subunits. On E21, the liver was enriched with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS); the level of nNOS decreased after birth and then increased by P18. This fact indicates the possibility of the induction of expression of the LMP7 and LMP2 immune subunits in hepatocytes via a signaling pathway involving nNOS. These results indicate that compared to the rat liver cells, splenic T cell immune response develops in rats starting around P19–P21. First, a T-area of white pulp is formed in the spleen during this period. Second, an increased level of immune proteasomes and MHC class I molecules in hepatocytes can ensure the formation of antigenic epitopes from foreign proteins and their delivery to the cell surface for subsequent presentation to cytotoxic T-lymphocytes.  相似文献

Male Wistar rats were treadmill-trained for 8 weeks using one of the two regimens: with the constant running speed or with alternating high-speed and low-speed intervals. Both training regimens led to an increase of rat aerobic capacities and to a higher citrate synthase activity in the medial head of gastrocnemius muscle. No differences between the effects of two training regimens were observed. However, in contrast to constant-speed training the interval one resulted in myocardium hypertrophy and also in less pronounced changes in diaphragm muscle, such as slow-direction shift of myosin phenotype and reduction of muscle fiber cross-sectional area. Neither of the training regimens had an effect on corticosterone and thyroid hormones levels in rat blood, whereas the interval training resulted in a higher level of testosterone. Anabolic influence of testosterone during interval aerobic training may be favorable for heart hemodynamic capacity and force characteristics of the diaphragm.  相似文献

At 8 healthy examinees-volunteers of 22-25 years the functional effects of super-threshold (above 1.2 T) and subthreshold (70-80% of a motor threshold) rTMS of premotor cortexes medial departments were compared. Functional brain activity changes were estimated (before and 1 hour after stimulation) by comparing data including neuropsychological testing, visual and spectral-coherent EEG-analysis, and also haemodynamic parameters. The number of the work's problem included selection of activating orientated stimulation's frequency, and also specification objective EEG--criteria of efficiency rTMS. It is established the effect of EEG-analysis during different frequency photostimulation for a choice of activating rTMS. The received results reveal EEG-coherence as one of the most informative characteristics of cerebral neuro-dynamics under rTMS-influence. Dependence of stimulation's functional effects (activated or brake character) from initial level of the intercentral coherent communications is noted. It is revealed that rTMS of the healthy examinees causes certain changes of functional activity of a brain, distinct from placebo-effects. rTMS-effect dependent on intensity (super--or sub-threshold), and also from features of an initial intercentral rations. More expressed functional changes are observed in the left hemisphere. It is shown big by reactance of the left hemisphere on this influence. In formation of brain responses on rTMS the active role of the vascular factor is shown.  相似文献

A chronic respiratory load was produced in Wistar rats by tracheal binding to produce a twofold increase of pleural pressure oscillation amplitude during respiration. Eight weeks after the surgery, a higher proportion of type-I muscle fibers (MFI) in the costal diaphragm along with a greater MFI cross-section area and a higher succinate dehydrogenase activity in MFII in the lumbar diaphragm were observed. During recording the mechanical activity of ring preparations of diaphragm arteries under isometric conditions, an increase in endothelium-dependent relaxation was found, whereas endothelium-independent relaxation and arterial reactivity to noradrenaline did not change. Tracheal binding did not produce any changes of MF in the gastrocnemius muscle, but endothelium-dependent relaxation of gastrocnemius feed arteries was reduced. We conclude that chronic respiratory load affects the endothelial function in diaphragm arteries in a manner favorable for blood flow control in the diaphragm. Functional alterations in gastrocnemius arteries may be associated with the reduced locomotor activity of operated rats.  相似文献
