本文记述了青海省贵德及共和两盆地的几个含晚新生代哺乳动物化石地点的地层剖面及采自18个地点的26种(代表20个属)哺乳动物化石.对其中的 Myospalax arvicolinus, Microtus, Anancus, Leptobos crassus gonghenensis subsp. nov., L. vallisarni, Bison (Superbison) crassicornis, Boopsis breviceps作了较详细的描述和讨论.通过对动物群的分析初步确定了盆地主要堆积物的时代——贵德盆地:上新世—早更新世;共和盆地:早—中更新世,并简略探讨了两盆地的发育历史. 相似文献

Helix geometry and hydration in an A-DNA tetramer: IC-C-G-G 总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The DNA oligomer of sequence IC-C-G-G has been synthesized, and its X-ray crystal structure solved at a resolution of 2.0 A, using anomalous scattering from iodines in phase analysis: 48 cycles of Jack-Levitt restrained least-squares refinement resulted in a residual error of 19.9% over all data, or 16.5% for two-sigma data. Two double-helical tetramers stack in the crystal to form a continuous octamer, except for the two missing phosphate connections across the center. The octamer has a mean helix rotation of 33.7 degrees (10.7 base-pairs per turn), rise of 2.87 A, mean inclination angle of base-pairs of 14 degrees, and mean base-pair propeller twist of +16.3 degrees. Local variations in both helix rotation and base plane roll angles, including those across the center of the octamer, are as predicted from base sequence by sum functions sigma 1 and sigma 2. The three known DNA octamers: IC-C-G-G/IC-C-G-G, G-G-T-A-T-A-C-C and G-G-C-C-G-G-C-C, make up a graded series in this order, with monotonically changing structural parameters. An exhaustive comparison of torsion angle correlations among the known A helices confirms some structural expectations and reveals some new features. 86 water molecules have been located per double-helical IC-C-G-G tetramer (the asymmetric unit), of which 451/2 per tetramer lie within a first hydrogen-bonded shell of hydration. Summary A brief review is presented of the Vester-Ulbricht -decay Bremsstrahlen hypothesis for the origin of optical activity, and of subsequent experiments designed to test it. Certain of our experiments along these lines, begun in 1974 and involving the irradiation of racemic and optically active amino acids in a 61.7 KCi90Sr–90Y Bremsstrahlen source, have now been completed and are described. After 10.89 years of irradiation with a total Bremsstrahlen dose of 2.5×109 rads, crystallinedl-leucine, norleucine, and norvaline suffered 47.2, 33.6, and 27.4% radiolysis, respectively, but showed no evidence whatsoever of asymmetric degradation.d- andl-Leucine underwent about 48% radiolysis and showed 2.4–2.9% radioracemization. Other samples in solution were too severely degraded to analyze. In diabetes, certain basement membranes become thicker yet more porous than normal. To identify possible changes in the basement membrane, we have grown the Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm tumor, a tissue that produces quantities of basement membrane in normal mice and in streptozotocin-treated, insulin-deficient, diabetic mice. The level of laminin, a basement membrane-specific glycoprotein, and the level of total protein were slightly elevated in the diabetic tissue. In contrast, the level of the basement membrane specific heparan sulfate proteoglycan was only 20% of control. The synthesis of this proteoglycan was also reduced in the diabetic animals, while the synthesis of other proteoglycans by tissues such as cartilage was normal. The synthesis of the heparan sulfate proteoglycan in diabetic animals was inversely related to plasma glucose levels showing an abrupt decrease above the normal range of plasma glucose. Insulin restored synthesis to normal but this required doses of insulin that maintained plasma glucose at normal levels for several hours. Since the heparan sulfate proteoglycan in the basement membrane restricts passage of proteins, its absence could account for the increased porosity of basement membrane in diabetes. A compensatory synthesis of other components could lead to their increased deposition and the accumulation of basement membrane in diabetes. 相似文献

Parasympathetic denervation of the rat parotid gland by avulsion of the auriculotemporal nerve caused a marked and lasting decrease in gland weight. Parasympathectomy did not change the levels of choline in the gland but decreased by 60% the levels of acetylcholine (ACh) ten days after surgery and 65% at 28 days. It is puzzling that relatively high levels of ACh remained after parasympathetic denervation. The presence of additional cholinergic nerves that innervate the gland, or pass through it en route to other structures may account for some of the remaining ACh. Also, Schwann cells from denervated nerves might have contributed to some of the ACh. The existence of an extraneuronal source of ACh is considered. 相似文献

Reduced glutathione (GSH) inhibited catalase activity in a dose-dependent manner. DL-dithiothreitol (DL-DTT) and dithioerythritol (DTE) also inhibited catalase activity. The inhibition of catalase by GSH and DL-DTT could be reduced by NADPH. Polyacrilamide gel electrophoresis demonstrated the inhibition was partially reversible. The inhibition of catalase by GSH appeared to be partly due to superoxide radicals, since it was inhibited by active manganese superoxide dismutase, but not by heat-inactivated enzyme. The direct wet mount examination of vaginal secretion, widely applied for the diagnosis of Trichomonas vaginalis infection in woman patients, is rapid and economical, however, the sensitivity of this technique is not so high. In this study enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was employed for the detection of serum anti-T. vaginalis IgG and IgM antibodies from 30 vaginal trichomoniasis patients and 30 non-infected healthy persons. The results were as follows: 1. Serum ELISA-IgG value was 0.37 +/- 0.134 (Mean +/- S.D.) in vaginal trichomoniasis patients and 0.21 +/- 0.054 in healthy controls (p less than 0.005), and the sensitivity and specificity of ELISA for serum IgG antibody were 70.0% and 96.7%, respectively. 2. Serum ELISA-IgM value was 0.33 +/- 0.177 (Mean +/- S.D.) in vaginal trichomoniasis patients and 0.11 +/- 0.051 in healthy controls (p less than 0.005), and the sensitivity and specificity of ELISA for serum IgM antibody were 70.0% and 96.7%, respectively. 3. The ELISA-IgG values showed a significant correlation with ELISA-IgM values (r = 0.77, p less than 0.005). With above results, it is assumed that ELISA is a reliable method for the diagnosis of T. vaginalis infection and simultaneous measurement of serum IgG and IgM with this technique is recommended. 相似文献
