Aegilops tauschii Coss. is a diploid (2n = 2x = 14,DD) goat grass species which has contributed the D genome in common wheat. Genetic variations in 28 accessions of Aegilops tauschii belonged to different provinces of Iran, were evaluated using 16 morphological traits and 19 SSR markers. In number of spikelet per spike and plant height, there was a high variation in ssp. tauschii and ssp. strangulata respectively and for days to mature a low variation in both subspecies was found. Discriminant function analysis showed that 67.9% of original grouped cases correctly classified. Factor analysis indicated that three factor explain 66.49% of total variation. The three clusters revealed by the cluster analysis were not consistent with their geographical distributions. We determined 208 alleles using 19 microsatellites. Average of alleles for every locus was 10.94. The total average of PIC was 0.267. 2261 bands produced for total of genotypes and Chinese Spring had the highest bands (95 alleles). The range of similarity coefficients was between 0.23 and 0.73. Genotypes were clustered using UPGMA method. The accessions did not match according to morphological cluster and geographical regions. 51.2% of total variations were related to 9 principle components.  相似文献

Five malathion-degrading bacterial strains were enriched and isolated from soil samples collected from different agricultural sites in Cairo, Egypt. Malathion was used as a sole source of carbon (50 mg/l) to enumerate malathion degraders, which were designated as IS1, IS2, IS3, IS4, and IS5. They were identified, based on their morphological and biochemical characteristics, as Pseudomonas sp., Pseudomonas putida, Micrococcus lylae, Pseudomonas aureofaciens, and Acetobacter liquefaciens, respectively. IS1 and IS2, which showed the highest degrading activity, were selected for further identification by partial sequence analysis of their 16S rRNA genes. The 16S rRNA gene of IS1 shared 99% similarity with that of Alphaprotoebacterium BAL284, while IS2 scored 100% similarity with that of Pseudomonas putida 32zhy. Malathion residues almost completely disappeared within 6 days of incubation in IS2 liquid cultures. LC/ESI-MS analysis confirmed the degradation of malathion to malathion monocarboxylic and dicarboxylic acids, which formed as a result of carboxylesterase activity. A carboxylesterase gene (CE) was amplified from the IS2 genome by using specifically designed PCR primers. The sequence analysis showed a significant similarity to a known CE gene in different Pseudomonas sp. We report here the isolation of a new malathion-degrading bacteria from soils in Egypt that may be very well adapted to the climatic and environmental conditions of the country. We also report the partial cloning of a new CE gene. Due to their high biodegradation activity, the bacteria isolated from this work merit further study as potential biological agents for the remediation of soil, water, or crops contaminated with the pesticide malathion.  相似文献

New resveratrol (RES) analogs were developed by replacing the aromatic ‘core’ of our initial naphthalene-based RES analogs with pseudo-heterocyclic (salicylaldoxime) or heterocyclic (benzofuran, quinoline, and benzothiazole) scaffolds. The resulting analogs were tested for their antiproliferative and vasorelaxing effect, two typical properties shown by RES. Some of the new compounds confirmed strong antiproliferative activities, comparable to that previously found with the most active naphthalene-based analog. In particular, 3-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxyquinoline exhibited the most potent antiproliferative effect (IC50 = 17.4 μM). In vascular assays, the highest levels of potency (pIC50 = 4.92) and efficacy (Emax = 88.2%) were obtained with 2-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-6-hydroxybenzothiazole. A conformational analysis of these compounds indicated that the antiproliferative activity on MDA-MB-231 cancer cells can be correlated to a common sterical profile of the most active compounds and, in particular, to the spatial arrangement of the three phenolic groups. Furthermore, the vasorelaxing properties showed a good correlation with the electronic properties measured through the electrostatic molecular potential (ESP).  相似文献

Manipulation of micro- and nanoparticles in complex biofluids is highly demanded in most biological and biomedical applications. A significant number of microfluidic platforms have been developed for inexpensive, rapid, accurate, and efficient particle manipulation. Due to the enormous potential of viscoelastic fluids (VEFs) for particle manipulation, various emerging microfluidic-based VEFs techniques have been presented over the last decade. This review provides an intuitive understanding of VEF physics for particle separation in different microchannel geometries. Besides, active and passive VEF methods are critically reviewed, highlighting the potential and practical challenges of each technique for particle/cell focusing, sorting, and separation. The outcome of this study could enable recognizing deliverable VEF technology with the promising prospect in the manipulation of submicron biological samples (e.g., exosomes, DNA, and proteins).  相似文献

As critical mediators in biological processes, microRNAs (miRNAs) which are small and endogenous noncoding RNAs have been associated with disease progression, cell proliferation, and development. Pre-eclampsia (PE), a pregnancy-related disorder with no early markers or symptoms is recognized as the main reason for fetal and maternal mortality and morbidity in the initial steps or even during pregnancy, worldwide. Clinical symptoms usually appear in the third trimester of the pregnancy. Although numerous research have unraveled several aspects of placenta development abnormalities associated with abnormal trophoblastic invasion and angiogenesis modification, many questions about the PE pathogenesis remains unanswered. A large number of studies have shown the important role of miRNAs as potential biomarkers in the PE prognosis and diagnosis. Here, the latest investigations about the PE and placental miRNAs expression, as well as, the crucial role of miRNA molecules including miR-210 and miR-155 which are deregulated in patients with PE, will be argued.  相似文献

Actinomycetes are a rich source for secondary metabolites with a diverse array of biological activities. Among the various genera of actinomycetes, the genus Saccharopolyspora has long been recognized as a potential source for antibiotics and other therapeutic leads that belong to diverse classes of natural products. Members of the genus Saccharopolyspora have been widely reported from several natural sources including both terrestrial and marine environments. A plethora of this genus has been chemically investigated for the production of novel natural products with interesting pharmacological effects. Therefore, Saccharopolyspora is considered one of the pharmaceutical important genera that could provide further chemical diversity with potential lead compounds. In this review, the literature from 1976 until December 2018 was covered, providing a comprehensive survey of all natural products derived from this genus and their semi-synthetic derivatives along with their biological activities, whenever applicable. Moreover, the biological diversity of Saccharopolyspora species and their habitats were also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, illusion properties in a class of perfect cylindrical devices that contain a singular radial mapping have been reported. In these media, illusion can be implemented using alternating structure of only two kinds of metamaterial: zero index metamaterials and perfect electric conductors. Full-wave simulations in two dimensions have been performed to verify its functionality and its illusionary effects for TM polarization incident wave. The duality principle can be applied for TE polarization.

Simeprevir (SPV) is a powerful antihepatitis C virus agent that was newly introduced into the pharmaceutical market. We here established and validated an easy, simple, and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for its estimation at λem 427 nm (λex 337 nm). The suggested procedure was based on two times enhancement in the original emission of SPV through modifying its microenvironment in buffered aqueous solution by adding Triton X‐100. The relationship between the concentration of SPV and the observed fluorescence intensity was linear in the range 0.06–1.0 μg ml?1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9997. The limits of detection and quantitation were 21 and 64 ng ml?1, respectively. The present method was effectively applied to quantify SPV content in pharmaceutical tablets and human plasma spiked with the drug with no interference from tablet excipients or plasma components.  相似文献
