This work presents the study of the interaction between zidovudine (AZT) and rare earth (RE) ions with thenoyltrifluoroacetonate (TTA). The complexes [RE(TTA)(3) x (AZT)(2)] (where RE(III)=Eu and Gd) were prepared by reaction between the [RE(TTA)(3) x (H(2)O)(2)] precursors and AZT dissolved in acetone in the molar ratio 1:2. The obtained luminescent materials were characterized by microanalyses (C, H, N), complexometric titration, IR spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction and thermal analysis (DSC and TG/DTG). The luminescence data indicate that the substitution of the two water molecules by AZT in the europium complex causes an intensification of luminescence corresponding to the (5)D(0) -->(7)F(J) (J=0-4) transitions associated with one of the site symmetries. Based on the luminescence spectrum of the Eu(III)-compound the Omega(lambda) experimental intensity parameters (lambda=2 and 4) were calculated for the electronic transitions (5)D(0)-->(7)F(2, 4). The Omega(2) intensity parameter for this new compound is higher than for the precursor compound, suggesting an effective interaction between the AZT and the chemical environment of the Eu(III) ion. Luminescence data confirm that the AZT complex and precursor compound have a comparable emission quantum efficiency.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of eccentric contractions (ECC) on the biceps (BB) and triceps brachii (TB) muscles during maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) of elbow flexors using electrical (EMG) and mechanomyographical activities (MMG). Each of 18 male students performed 25 submaximal contractions (50% MVC) of the elbow flexors. Root mean square amplitude (RMS) and median frequency (MDF) were calculated for the EMG and MMG signals recorded during MVC. All measurements were taken before, immediately after, 24, 48, 72, and 120 h post-ECC from the BB and TB muscles. MVC was reduced by 34% immediately after exercise and did not return to the resting value within 120 h (P0.05). The EMG MDF decreased significantly (P< or =0.05) in both muscles after ECC. The MMG RMS at 24h, 48, 72 and 120 h post-ECC was significantly lower compared to that recorded immediately after ECC in both muscles (P< or =0.05). The present research showed that (i) there were similar changes in electrical and mechanical activities during MVC after submaximal ECC in agonist and antagonist muscles suggesting a common drive controlling the agonist and antagonist motoneuron pool, (ii) the ECC induced different changes in EMG than in MMG immediately after ECC and during 120 h of recovery that suggested an increased tremor and contractile impairments, i.e., reduced rate of calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (acute effect), and changes in motor control mechanisms of agonist and antagonist muscles, and increased muscle stiffness (chronic effect).  相似文献

Indirect evidence suggests that some major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins are glycosyltransferases. No sequence or mapping information is available for transferases, although ganglioside variations in mice are linked to the H-2 complex on chromosome 17, and one galactosyltransferase activity on mouse sperm varies with T/t complex genotypes, also on chromosome 17. In the present experiments, diploid and trisomy 17 mouse embryos were assayed for four different galactosyltransferase activities. The same preparations were assayed for isocitrate dehydrogenase (Id-1, chromosome 1) and glyoxalase-1 (Glo-1, chromosome 17). Galactosyltransferase specific activities in trisomy 17 embryos are almost 1.5 times higher than in diploid embryos. The correlation between galactosyltransferase activities and chromosome 17 dosage indicates that the structural or regulatory gene for these enzymes are located on chromosome 17.  相似文献

Larviposition is widespread in blowflies, but among Calliphora species this behavior has seldom been described. The evidence of larviposition in C. loewi is here reported for the first time and discussed in relation with other blowfly species exhibiting the same behavior. The blowfly C. loewi is considered oviparous but surprisingly, female specimens from Madeira Island (Portugal) were found to carry few large larvae (one to three larvae up to 5.1 mm in size) in the ovipositor and abdomen. The finding of larviposition behavior in C. loewi from Madeira Island is at present enigmatic and further studies are needed to clarify the reproductive biology of this species.  相似文献

The copolymeric structure of dermatan sulfate chains synthesized by skin fibroblasts has been examined. Chains initiated onto exogeneousp-nitrophenyl--D-xylopyranoside or attached to protein in a large proteoglycan, PG-L, and two small proteoglycans, PG-S1 and PG-S2, have been compared by using high resolution electrophoresis and gel chromatography of oligosaccharides generated by specific enzymatic or chemical degradations. The results confirm that chains attached to PG-L are glucuronate-rich, whereas novel findings indicate that chains attached to either of the two PG-S variants yield closely similar oligosaccharide maps, have approximately equal glucuronate and iduronate content and contain over 90% 4-sulfated disaccharide repeating units. Dermatan sulfate chains built onto xyloside at concentrations of 50 µm and below have a copolymeric structure similar to that of chains from the two PG-S variants. These findings indicate that the polymer-modifying machinery can generate chains with extended iduronate-containing repeats also when the xylose primer is not linked to core protein.  相似文献
