The rate of 35S-methionine incorporation into the anterior and posterior hypothalamus, tonsil and hippocamp was studied in experiments on intact, adrenalectomized, and hypophysectomized rats as well as in those exposed to ACTH or dexamethasone. A conclusion is drawn that ACTH and glucocorticoids exert a dissimilar and non-equivalent effect on the brain structures responsible for the activity displayed by the hypophyseal-adrenal system.  相似文献

We studied the effect of propyl- and ethylnorantifein on chloridine-induced abnormalities of extremities in rat embryos. Chloridine (50 and 25 mg/kg, given through the gastric tube) was administered to rats on day 14 of pregnancy, and its embryotoxic effect was estimated from the state of fetuses and implantation sites on day 20 of prenatal development. Propylnorantifein had fetoprotective properties both after intraperitoneal (10 mg/kg) and after intraamniotic (6 and 0.06 micrograms) administration. Ethylnorantifein under similar conditions does not change the action of chloridine, and it prevents the appearance of developmental abnormalities only at the concentration of 0.06 microgram/embryo. These data are discussed in connection with different effects of antifein derivatives on chromatin proteinkinase, which phosphorylates HMG nonhistone proteins.  相似文献

Experiments were conducted on guinea pigs. A study was made of the influence of increased gravitation on the activity of the hypothalamo-hypophysio-adrenal system. It appeared that a single centrifugation led to the activation of the mentioned system; however, repeated action of the angular accelerations on the animal organism failed to lead to any increase in the blood corticosteroid level (on the 6th-11th days); this can be attributed to the adaptation of the central link of the hypophysio-adrenal system to the given stimulus, and not to the exhaustion of the adrenal cortex.  相似文献

Experiments were conducted on male rats; a study was made of the activity of pituitary-adrenal cortex system under conditions of electrolyte destruction of various hypothalamic areas. Pharmacological analysis pointed to the irregular distribution in the hypothalamus of the cholinergic and adrenergic systems controlling the secretion of ACTH-glucocorticoids. As suggested, the cholinergic systems are situated in the mammillary region, alpha-adrenergic ones--in the anterior or the posterior regions of the hypothalamus, and beta-adrenergic receptors--in the ventromedial nuclei of the hypothalamus. The latter possibly play an inhibitory role.  相似文献
