The aim of our study was to assess the contribution of image fusion of SPECT combined with computed tomography (SPECT-CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (SPECT-MRI) in our daily practice of bone scintigraphy. Seventeen patients underwent a SPECT image fusion, SPECT-CT or MRI in addition to conventional bone scintigraphy. These acquisitions are made separately with images stored in DICOM format. The fusion was operated after a manual coregistration of the images. Results show that in 35.29% of cases, the image fusion allowed to pinpoint the exact location of increased uptake seen on the whole body scan and/or on static images. In 35.29% of cases, the fusion has confirmed a diagnosis doubtful in planar imaging. In five patients, representing 29.41% of cases, the fusion has corrected a diagnosis. In one patient (5.88% of cases), the fusion has eliminated a false positive related to increased uptake visualized on the whole body scan. In two patients (11.11% of cases), the fusion has eliminated false negative of bone scan in one case and of MRI in the other case. Finally, in nine patients (50% of cases), the fusion has influenced the therapeutic management. 相似文献

The use of fullerene as acceptor limits the thermal stability of organic solar cells at high temperatures as their diffusion inside the donor leads to phase separation via Ostwald ripening. Here it is reported that fullerene diffusion is fully suppressed at temperatures up to 140 °C in bulk heterojunctions based on the benzodithiophene‐based polymer (the poly[[4,8‐bis[(2‐ethylhexyl)oxy]‐benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene‐2,6‐diyl][3‐fluoro‐2‐[(2‐ethylhexyl)carbonyl]‐thieno[3,4‐b]thiophenediyl]], (PTB7) in combination with the fullerene derivative [6,6]‐phenyl‐C71‐butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM). The blend stability is found independently of the presence of diiodooctane (DIO) used to optimize nanostructuration and in contrast to PTB7 blends using the smaller fullerene derivative PC70BM. The unprecedented thermal stability of PTB7:PC70BM layers is addressed to local minima in the mixing enthalpy of the blend forming stable phases that inhibit fullerene diffusion. Importantly, although the nanoscale morphology of DIO processed blends is thermally stable, corresponding devices show strong performance losses under thermal stress. Only by the use of a high temperature annealing step removing residual DIO from the device, remarkably stable high efficiency solar cells with performance losses less than 10% after a continuous annealing at 140 °C over 3 days are obtained. We studied BHK-21 cells growth in a 2-l bioreactor and investigated the effects of microcarrier concentration, type of growth medium, culture mode and serum concentration. The highest cell density reached was equal to 4x10(6) cells/ml and was achieved in minimum essential medium supplemented with Hanks' salts, non-essential amino acids and 5% fetal calf serum, using a perfusion culture mode and a microcarrier concentration of 4 g Cytodex 3/l. We studied rabies virus production (PV/BHK-21 strain) by BHK-21 cells grown at the optimal conditions determined previously. We analyzed the effects of multiplicity of infection (MOI) and type of medium used for virus multiplication in spinner-flasks and showed that the highest virus titer reached (when the cells were infected at a MOI of 0.3) in M199 medium supplemented with 0.2% of bovine serum albumin was equal to 8.2x10(7) Fluorescent Focus Units (FFU)/ml. When we grew the cells in a 2-l perfused bioreactor, we obtained a maximal virus titer of 3x10(8) FFU/ml. In addition, we scaled-up to a 20-l bioreactor and obtained similar results for cell density and virus titer. The experimental vaccine we developed meets WHO requirements for vaccine potency. Each run yielded about 40,000 doses of potent vaccine. 相似文献

The present study was performed to assess the HPLC‐DAD analysis as well as antioxidant and protective effects of Tunisian Rhanterium suaveolens (Rs) against acetamiprid (ACT) induced oxidative stress on mice erythrocytes. The in vitro assays showed that the methanolic extract of Rs has an impressive antioxidant effect proved by testing the total antioxidant and scavenging activities using BCB, DPPH and ABTS assays, respectively. Moreover, qualitative and quantitative analysis using HPLC‐DAD revealed the richness of Rs in polyphenols where p‐Coumaric, Apigenin‐7‐glucoside and Ferulic acid were detected as the most abundant polyphenols. In the in vivo experiment, ACT, used as a toxicity model, was given to mice at a dose of 20 mg/kg. The latter was the origin of hemolytic anemia characterized by a significant decrease in red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels and an increase in bilirubin, LDH, osmotic fragility, reticulocytes and white blood cells number. Characteristic erythrocyte morphological alterations were also determined as spherocytosis, schistocytosis and dacryocystitis. The oxidative status of ACT‐treated mice was also altered manifested by a significant increase in MDA and GSH levels and a decrease in SOD, CAT and GPx activities. When receiving the Rs methanolic extract at a dose of 300 mg/kg, all the parameters cited above were restored in mice. These remarkable corrections could only confirm the important antioxidant effect and the noticeable protective properties that possess Rs owing to its broad range of secondary bioactive metabolites. 相似文献

Climatic changes impact fruit tree growth and severely limit their production. Investigating the tree ability to cope with environmental variations is thus necessary to adapt breeding and management strategies in order to ensure sustainable production. In this study, we assessed the genetic parameters and genotype by environment interaction (GxE) during the early tree growth. One hundred and twenty olive seedlings derived from the cross ‘Olivière’ x ‘Arbequina’ were examined across two sites with contrasted environments, accounting for ontogenetic trends over three years. Models including the year of growth, branching order, environment, genotype effects, and their interactions were built with variance function and covariance structure of residuals when necessary. After selection of a model, broad sense heritabilities were estimated. Despite strong environmental effect on most traits, no GxE was found. Moreover, the internal structure of traits co-variation was similar in both sites. Ontogenetic growth variation, related to (i) the overall tree form and (ii) the growth and branching habit at growth unit scale, was not altered by the environment. Finally, a moderate to strong genetic control was identified for traits at the whole tree scale and at internode scale. Among all studied traits, the maximal internode length exhibited the highest heritability (H2 = 0.74). Considering the determinant role of this trait in tree architecture and its stability across environments, this study consolidates its relevance for breeding. 相似文献
