Abstract. The mechanisms and strategies for winter survival of the black rice bug Scotinophara lurida are investigated along with the relationship between cold hardiness and diapause. The ability of S. lurida to survive subzero temperatures varies depending on developmental stage, temperature and exposure duration. Mean supercooling point (SCP) varies from –7.6 to –10.7 °C with developmental stage, but is not significantly different between stages examined. The SCP also varies with season, being lowest in January and increasing rapidly in February and remaining almost at the same level (–7.3 to 9.6 °C) until April The osmolality of haemolymph of field-collected S. lurida adults rises dramatically from 53.9 mOsm kg−1 in August to 75.3 mOsm kg−1 in December, and then declines linearly to 57.0 mOsm kg−1 in May. Field-collected S. lurida adults show a peak glucose content in October, glycerol content in November and trehalose content in December. Only trehalose content decreases after the application of the juvenile hormone analogue, fenoxycarb, suggesting that trehalose is a cryoprotectant during diapause. These various physiological and biochemical traits related to cold tolerance in S. lurida may be, at least in part, under the control of juvenile hormone through the reproductive diapause programme. 相似文献

Based on forest dynamics theory, gap model FOROAK was developed for simulating long-termdynamics of Mongolian oak (Quercus rnongolica Fisch. )-Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis Sieb. et Zucc. )forest. The model included two parts: biological growth and environmental impacts on growth. Different areapatches were used in simulating forest changes. The results showed that this forest gap was 0.05 hm2. Themodel testing demonstrated that it could reasonably simulate forest dynamic process, and had a very highaccuracy to predict species compositions. The observed species basal areas was similar to the predicted at 60,100 and 270 year forests, the observed species compositions were similar to the predicted at old forest period.Complex changes were found through modeling forest dynamics of bare ground. Mongolian oak and white birch( Betula platyphylla Sukacz. ) dominated at early stage, forest dominated by broad leaved species was formedat middle stage, and then Korean pine dominated at latter stage. The prediction of current primary forestshowed that it was steady during the next 300 year period, the number of trees and the biomass of Korean pine changed very little. 相似文献

An ecotope (spatial eco-space) map that considers topography and bio-organism-relevant variables emerges as an important basic framework when landscape-scale characteristics for ecosystem management and wildlife conservation are needed. A spatio-geoecological framework based on geographic information systems (GIS) and a vegetation survey were developed for wildlife habitat evaluation of national parks and applied to a representative rugged valley area of Mt. Sorak National Park in Korea. An ecotope map was classified into hundreds of types and dozens of groups by combining biological and geophysical variables. Variables included: forest vegetation type, topographic solar radiation, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), elevation, and anthropogenic factors, such as, streams and roads. Layers of GIS variables were produced by field surveys, modeling, satellite images, or digitalization. Vegetation surveys were carried out to identify finer-scale distribution of vegetation types in the rugged valley area. Digital forest vegetation maps from the Forestry Administrator were then modified using the field-surveyed vegetation maps. Topographic solar radiation was predicted with a daily topographic radiation model. The NDVI was calculated from the satellite imagery of a Landsat Thematic Mapper. A digital elevation model (DEM) was used and the other layers were digitized using topographical maps with a scale of 1:25000. The aim of this study is to determine the geoecological factors relating to the spatial pattern of plant community. It was cleared by the spatial pattern of environmental variables and vegetation characteristics by detrended correspondence analysis using plant species and the environmental variables of each plot. The ordination component value of the first axis shows significant regression to some environmental variables. A case study of habitat evaluation was carried out using the resultant ecotope map. The spatial distribution of potential goral habitat and vegetation characteristics were predicted and the impact of human trails on the neighboring vegetation was also examined for restoration planning. The GIS-based framework developed for wildlife habitat evaluation is useful for natural resource management and human activity control in national parks in Korea. 相似文献

为了探讨增强p53、p21基因表达水平和降低c-myc基因表达水平对乳腺癌细胞MCF-7增殖的协同抑制作用,以及这些基因对细胞产生效应时的相互关系,本研究中首先构建了正义的p53、p21和反义的c-myc3种真核细胞表达载体,并根据析因实验设计三种载体不同剂量组合。按照组合用质粒转染细胞,然后对转染细胞的增殖抑制率进行检测,并采用金正均Q值法、单因素方差分析中的LSD法、聚类分析法等统计学方法对结果进行统计分析。结果显示,不同量的p53、p21反义c-myc对MCF-7细胞的增殖均有抑制作用,抑制的程度各基因间存在差异。在各基因组合中,p21与反义c-myc,p53与反义c-myc联用具有协同作用,对MCF-7细胞的增殖产生更强的抑制,而p53与p21之间未显示出协同作用。对三基因协同结果进行聚类分析后,发现第一类组合协同作用最明显,第九类组合的抑制率最高。由此推测,作为抑癌基因的p53或CDK抑制基因p21高表达,同时原癌基因c-myc表达受到抑制,可相互协同显著增强对MCF-7细胞增殖的抑制作用。 相似文献

选取不同尺度,采用β多样性指数和分形分析方法对东灵山暖温带森林样带上群落多样性随海拔梯度的空间变异规律进行了研究。结果表明,1)Cody指数揭示出乔木层在取样尺度20m和灌木层在取样尺度80m时,随海拔梯度变化呈明确的物种替代规律性;乔木层和灌木层在同一地点的物种替代速率具有互补性;群落多样性的空间变异在样带的起始(山底)和终止(山顶)地段较高。2)笔者提出的群落结构变异(CommunityStructureVariation,CSV)指数介于0~1之间,作为Cody指数的改进,它对群落多样性沿环境梯度变化的揭示更接近于实际情况;CSV指数分析显示乔木层在>40m取样尺度,灌木层>20m取样尺度群落结构出现明确变异规律;物种丰富度(Cody指数)和群落结构(CSV指数)变化规律性的表现尺度(取样尺度)不同。3)分形分析的结果,乔木主林层在200m内不同尺度间不存在相关规律,乔木更新层只在<40m尺度显示出尺度依赖性,灌木层的尺度依赖特征则表现为小尺度变异显著而较大尺度上变异程度降低;乔木更新层与灌木层的异质性规律发生显著变化(拐点)的尺度不同,分别为40m和90~100m。同时,还对群落学研究中的取样尺度问题进行了探讨。 相似文献
