In isolated tracheal smooth muscle preparations in normal rats and in rats with experimental fibrotic alveolitis, responses to electrical field stimulation of nervous and muscle fibers were studied. At stimulation of muscles or nerves of tracheal preparations without intramural ganglia in rats with acute alveolitis, parameters of smooth muscle contractions did not practically differ from those in normal rats. In rats with fibrotic alveolitis the amplitude and rate of muscle contraction decreased, while the response latent period (LP) increased. At stimulation of preganglionic nerve fibers of the tracheal preparations with intramural ganglia in rats with acute alveolitis, the value and rate of smooth muscle contraction decreased, while the response LP increased. After transition into chronic phase of the disease (fibrotic alveolitis), a partial restoration of the response parameters took place. In rats with acute alveolitis, the repeated stimulation of the nerve fibers led to an increase of amplitude and a decrease of rate of tracheal smooth muscle contractions. In rats with fibrotic alveolitis, the repeated stimulation caused a decrease of amplitude and rate of contractions and an increase of the response LP. 相似文献

Variation of 69 morphological characters and allozyme variation at 32 loci was studied in lenoks (Brachymystax) from the Biya, Tom’, and Chulym drainages (the Ob’ basin). All lenoks studied belong to the blunt-snouted form, morphological differences between their populations are low and genetic distances equal zero. At the same time they diverged substantially morphologically and, especially, genetically from populations of the blunt-snouted lenok from other river basis of Siberia and the Far East of Russia. In the Ob’-Irtysh basin populations of the blunt-and sharp-snouted lenoks are spatially segregated: the former are found in the Ob’ River basin proper and the latter, in the Irtysh River basin, the degree of their morphological and genetic (Dnei = 0.096) divergence is high. Populations of the blunt-snouted lenok in the Ob’ basin are small and the numbers of lenoks are decreasing; problems of their protection are discussed. 相似文献

Deschampsia antarctica E. Desv. is the only monocot in the Antarctic floristic zone. We evaluated the phylogenetic relationships of Deschampsia antarctica to other grasses using parsimony as the optimality criterion. Five different sets of gap, transversion and transitions costs
were explored to analyze the effect of parameter choice on the phylogenetic results. Both internal transcribed spacers (ITS1
and ITS2) and the 5.8S subunit of nuclear ribosomal DNA were included in the analysis. A total of 43 species were analyzed
including seven species of Deschampsia. Deschampsia antarctica forms a well supported group with five species of Deschampsia. Deschampsia does not appear monophyletic as D. flexuosa (L.) Trin. is not included in this clade. The clade to which D. antarctica belongs is sister to some Aveneae in all analyses. This study is the first contribution that evaluates the phylogenetic position

Inter- and intra-regional variations in vertebrae morphology and growth increment counts (band counts) were analyzed for two carcharhinid shark species, Carcharhinus plumbeus (n = 10) and C. limbatus (n = 11). Five sequential vertebrae were removed from the cervical region, above the branchial chamber and posterior to the chondrocrainium, and thoracic region, below the first dorsal fin. Dorsal–ventral height, medial–lateral breadth, and caudal–cranial length were measured for each sampled vertebra. Results indicate no significant difference in vertebral morphology within a sampled region of the vertebral column. However, a significant difference in vertebral morphology was noted between regions for both shark species, with thoracic vertebrae consistently larger than cervical vertebrae. A sub-set of three vertebrae was taken from each sampled region of each shark for sectioning and counting of growth increments. Analyses of growth increment counts by two readers indicated no significant difference in band counts within and between sampled regions. 相似文献
