In this work, a freestanding NiS2/FeS holey film (HF) is prepared after electrochemical anodic and chemical vapor deposition treatments. With the combination of good electrical conductivity and holey structure, the NiS2/FeS HF presents superior electrochemical performance, due to the following reasons: (i) Porous structure of HF provides a large surface area and more active sites/channels/pathways to enhance the ion/mass diffusion. Moreover, the porous structure can reduce the damage from the volumetric expansion. (ii) The as‐prepared electrode combines the current collector (residual NiFe alloy) and active materials (sulfides) together, thus reducing the resistance of the electrode. Additionally, the good conductivity of HF can improve electron transport. (iii) Sulfides are more stable as active materials than sulfur, showing only a small capacity decay while retaining high cyclability performance. This work provides a promising way to develop high energy and stable electrode for Li‐S battery.  相似文献

(?)‐Epicatechin (EPI) has beneficial effects on the cardiovascular disease. The human ether‐a‐go‐go‐related gene (HERG) potassium channel is crucial for repolarization of cardiac action potential. Dysfunction of the HERG channel can cause long QT syndrome type 2 (LQT2). Arsenic trioxide (As2O3) has shown efficacy in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia. However, As2O3 can induce the deficiency of HERG channel and cause LQT2. In this study, we examined whether EPI could rescue the As2O3‐induced HERG channel deficiency. We found that 3 μM EPI obviously increased protein expression and current of HERG channel. EPI was able to recover the protein expression and current of HERG channel disrupted by As2O3. EPI was able to increase the expression of SP1 protein and recover the expression of SP1 protein disrupted by As2O3. In addition, EPI significantly shortened action potential duration prolonged by As2O3. Our data suggest that EPI rescues As2O3‐induced HERG channel deficiency through upregulating SP1 expression.  相似文献

Classification of strain W3-B1, which was isolated from condensation water in the Russian space laboratory Mir, was investigated by a polyphasic taxonomic approach. Cells of strain W3-B1 were nonmotile, asporogenous, gram-negative slender rods with rounded ends. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that organism should be placed in the genus Chryseobacterium. This organism contains menaquinone MK-6 as the predominent isoprenoid quinone and 3-OH iso 17:0 (40%), iso 15:0 (33%) as the major fatty acids. Phylogenetically, the nearest relative of strain W3-B1 is Chryseobacterium meningosepticum with sequence similarity of 98.4%, but DNA-DNA hybridization resulted in similarity values of only 52.3%. The G+C mol% is 34.6 mol%. Based upon results obtained by morphological, biochemical, chemotaxonomic, and molecular methods, strain W3-B1 was clearly distinguishable from other Chryseobacterium species. For these reasons, a novel species of family Flavobacteriaceae is proposed; strain W3-B1(T) (= GTC 862(T) = JCM 11413(T) = DSM 14571(T)) is the type strain.  相似文献

Synthesis of daidzin analogues as potential agents for alcohol abuse   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Daidzin, the active principle of an herbal remedy for 'alcohol addiction', has been shown to reduce alcohol consumption in all laboratory animals tested to date. Correlation studies using structural analogues of daidzin suggests that it acts by raising the monoamine oxidase (MAO)/mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH-2) activity ratio (J. Med. Chem. 2000, 43, 4169). Structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies on the 7-O-substituted analogues of daidzin have revealed structural features important for ALDH-2 and MAO inhibition (J. Med. Chem. 2001, 44, 3320). We here evaluated effects of substitutions at 2, 5, 6, 8, 3' and 4' positions of daidzin on its potencies for ALDH-2 and MAO inhibition. Results show that analogues with 4'-substituents that are small, polar and with hydrogen bonding capacities are most potent ALDH-2 inhibitors, whereas those that are non-polar and with electron withdrawing capacities are potent MAO inhibitors. Analogues with a 5-OH group are less potent ALDH-2 inhibitors but are more potent MAO inhibitors. All the 2-, 6-, 8- and 3'-substituted analogues tested so far do not inhibit ALDH-2 and/or have decreased potencies for MAO inhibition. This, together with the results obtained from previous studies, suggests that a potent antidipsotropic analogue would be a 4',7-disubstituted isoflavone. The 4'-substituent should be small, polar, and with hydrogen bonding capacities such as, -OH and -NH(2); whereas the 7-substituent should be a straight-chain alkyl with a terminal polar function such as -(CH(2))(n)-OH with 2< or =n < or =6, -(CH(2))(n)-COOH with 5< or =n < or =10, or -(CH(2))(n)-NH(2) with n > or =4.  相似文献

In the analysis of clustered categorical data, it is of common interest to test for the correlation within clusters, and the heterogeneity across different clusters. We address this problem by proposing a class of score tests for the null hypothesis that the variance components are zero in random effects models, for clustered nominal and ordinal categorical responses. We extend the results to accommodate clustered censored discrete time-to-event data. We next consider such tests in the situation where covariates are measured with errors. We propose using the SIMEX method to construct the score tests for the null hypothesis that the variance components are zero. Key advantages of the proposed score tests are that they can be easily implemented by fitting standard polytomous regression models and discrete failure time models, and that they are robust in the sense that no assumptions need to be made regarding the distributions of the random effects and the unobserved covariates. The asymptotic properties of the proposed tests are studied. We illustrate these tests by analyzing two data sets and evaluate their performance with simulations.  相似文献

Bovine aortic smooth muscle cell (SMC) phenotype can be altered by physical forces. This has been demonstrated by cyclic strain-induced changes in proliferation and alignment. However, the intracellular coupling pathways remain ill defined. In the present study, we examined whether the p38 and S6 kinase pathway were involved in the mitogenic and morphological changes seen in SMCs exposed to cyclic strain. We seeded bovine aortic SMCs on silastic membranes that were deformed with 150-mmHg vacuum. Cyclic strain induced both alignment and proliferation of SMCs. SB202190, a specific inhibitor of p38, hindered SMC alignment, but not proliferation. Rapamycin, a specific inhibitor of the mTOR-S6 kinase pathway, attenuated strain-induced proliferation, but not alignment. Peak activation of p38 and S6 kinase was 351 +/- 76.9% at 5 min and 363 +/- 56.2% at 60 min compared with static control, respectively (P < 0.05). The results suggest that strain-induced SMC alignment is dependent on activation of p38, but not S6 kinase. Strain induced SMC proliferation is S6 kinase, but not p38 activation, dependent.  相似文献
