The 13CO-NMR spectra of carbonylhemoglobins Saint Mandé (beta 102Asn----Tyr), Malm? (beta 97His----Gln), H?tel Dieu (beta 99Asp----Gly) and Ao have been determined. The positions of the 13CO resonances for hemoglobins Ao, Malm? and H?tel Dieu were similar indicating similar ligand environments for all. The 13CO resonance for the beta-subunit of Saint Mandé was upfield-shifted compared to the others. This is evidence that structural changes at the beta 102 position directly affect iron-ligand bonding as well as quaternary structure.  相似文献

We have previously reported spectral differences for cells at different stages of the eukaryotic cell division cycle. These differences are due to the drastic biochemical and morphological changes that occur as a consequence of cell proliferation. We correlate these changes in FTIR absorption and Raman spectra of individual cells with their biochemical age (or phase in the cell cycle), determined by immunohistochemical staining to detect the appearance (and subsequent disappearance) of cell-cycle-specific cyclins, and/or the occurrence of DNA synthesis. Once spectra were correlated with their cells' staining patterns, we used methods of multivariate statistics to analyze the changes in cellular spectra as a function of cell cycle phase.  相似文献

Two hundred and twenty-three radiation hybrids retaining random fragments of human chromosome 16 were isolated during two successive experiments in HAT medium and screened with a total of 38 DNA probes, corresponding to anonymous DNA or gene sequences localized on chromosome 16. The presence of single or multiple human chromosomal fragments in a small subset of these hybrids was determined using in situ hybridization with total human DNA. The results confirm that individual radiation hybrids are often heterogeneous with respect to the retention and distribution of human fragments, as already suggested by their characterization with DNA probes. A number of these 223 radiation hybrids, whose detailed characterization has not been previously reported, represent a resource for the rapid isolation of new DNA markers or coding sequences from specific regions of chromosome 16 where human disease genes are already known to map.  相似文献

Leaf extracts of 43 plants representing all 10 species of the genus Sarracenia were analyzed by 2D-PC, high voltage electrophoresis and G. C., for their amino acids and flavonoids.
