The mycelial colonies of Trichoderma viride were grown between two thin cellophane films for exact measurements. The results obtained testify to the fact that in a mature colony the average length of intercalary cells, the average number of intercalary cells in an internode and the average internode length are stable. At this stage of morphogenesis the mean internode length is shown to be equal to the product of the average intercalary cell length and the average number of intercalary cells in an internode. The coefficients of variation of the internode length and the number of intercalary cells in an internode are found to be equal. The length of an intercalary cell and duration of the doubling cycle of an apical cell of T. viride obey the law of Gamma distribution. According to our observations, the Gamma distribution is typical for the length and duration of the doubling cycle of any bacterial cells and cells of any multicellular organisms.  相似文献

Monitoring of 28 waterbodies has been carried out since 1994 in the region of reserve "Lake Glubokoe" (Moscow region, Russia). It was revealed that species diversity as well as abundance of larval amphibians correlate negatively with presence of introduced fish, rotan, Perccottus glenii (Odontobutidae). Newts (Triturus cristatus, T. vulgaris) and frogs (Rana temporaria, R. arvalis, R. lessonae) as a rule are not capable to breed in waterbodies colonised by rotan. In contrast, toads (Bufo bufo) breed successfully in such sites. Larvae of toads are comparatively less edible for rotan and pass their metamorphosis. Persistence of amphibians to predation of rotan decreases in the row: B. bufo (R. temporaria, R. arvalis and R. lessonae), T. vulgaris, T. cristatus. The Crested newt (T. cristatus) is the most endangered species and could extinct in next years.  相似文献

The 1H-NMR analysis of methanol extracts of halophilic and halotolerant alkaliphilic methanotrophs isolated from the soda lakes of Southern Transbaikal and Tuva showed that bacterial cells grown at an optimum salinity accumulated mainly sucrose and 5-oxo-1-proline, whereas cells adapted to 0.5-1.0 M NaCl additionally synthesized ectoine. A more detailed study showed that nitrogen deficiency in the growth medium of Methylobacter alcaliphilus 20Z decreased the synthesis of nitrogen-containing osmoprotectants, ectoine and 5-oxo-1-proline. M. alcaliphilus 20Z cells exhibited activities of UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase and sucrose-phosphate synthase involved in sucrose synthesis. Glutamine synthetase in vitro did not require NH4+ ions, which implies that this enzyme is involved in 5-oxo-1-proline synthesis. Cells grown at high salinity exhibited elevated levels of aspartate kinase, aspartate-semialdehyde dehydrogenase, and ectoine synthase. This suggests that ectoine is synthesized via aspartate and aspartate-semialdehyde, i.e., via the route earlier established for extremely halophilic bacteria.  相似文献

687 adults in 5 regions of Siberia and 79 children and young persons in Novosibirsk were examined. IgG antibodies to H. pylori in their blood sera were determined with the use the enzyme immunoassay. The detection rate of antibodies among the adult population varied within 70-87%, depending on the region, being somewhat lower among the population north of latitude 60 degrees (75%) in comparison with the population residing south of this latitude (86%, p < 0.001). In Novosibirsk the number of seropositive persons was found to be unrelated to sex, age and clinical manifestations of digestive tract diseases. A high detection rate of antibodies to H. pylori was registered in persons aged 25-34 years with a minor increase in older age groups. In children the detection rate increased with age: 29% in children of 5-10 years old and 56% in children 11-14 years old. By the age of 15 more than a half of the children had antibodies.  相似文献

The genes involved in biosynthesis of the major compatible solute ectoine (1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2-methylpyrimidine carboxylic acid) in halotolerant obligate methanotroph “Methylomicrobium alcaliphilum 20Z” were studied. The complete nucleotide sequences of the structural genes encoding l-aspartokinase (Ask), l-2,4-diaminobutyric acid transaminase (EctB), l-2,4-diaminobutyric acid acetyltransferase (EctA), and l-ectoine synthase (EctC) were defined and shown to be transcribed as a single operon ectABCask. Phylogenetic analysis revealed high sequence identities (34–63%) of the Ect proteins to those from halophilic heterotrophs with the highest amino acid identities being to Vibrio cholerae enzymes. The chromosomal DNA fragment from “M. alcaliphilum 20Z” containing ectABC genes and putative promoter region was expressed in Escherichia coli. Recombinant cells could grow in the presence of 4% NaCl and synthesize ectoine. The data obtained suggested that despite the ectoine biosynthesis pathway being evolutionary well conserved with respect to the genes and enzymes involved, some differences in their organization and regulation could occur in various halophilic bacteria.Dedicated to the 70th birthday of Professor Gerhard Gottschalk who inspired our studies on methylotrophic haloalkaliphiles.  相似文献

Since 1916, rotan (Perccottus glenii Dybowski, 1877) has widely distributed in northwestern Eurasia. In 1973–1976, rotan populations were first detected in the basin of the Irtysh River: in Lake Peschanoe (Mertvoe) of Chelyabinsk oblast in the basin of the Tobol, a tributary of the Irtysh. In 1975, this fish was introduced to one of the ponds of the city of Chelyabinsk. Analysis of the spatiotemporal dynamics of findings shows that earlier records of the fish correlate with the network of roads, and later findings, with the river network. The results of a special inspection of isolated and floodplain water bodies (n = 77) performed within Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Omsk, and Tyumen oblasts in 2006 indicate that at present this unwanted invader occurs in the major part of the Tobol basin. The northernmost finding of this species is from the floodplain of the Tobol in the vicinity of Tobolsk, from the Karachino oxbow (58°02′N, 68°10′E). Rotan has also been found at the Irtysh headwaters as well as in the basins of its other tributaries: Ishim and Om. The expansion of rotan threatens the floodplain water bodies of the middle Irtysh. This species carries diseases, competes with other fish species for food, and actively eats young fish of these species. Therefore, the data on rotan distribution in the tributaries of the Irtysh should be taken into account when analyzing the dynamics of the fish community of this river. Biology of rotan assumes its influence on the functioning of the natural foci of opisthorchiasis.  相似文献
