Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) exhibit a series of distinctive features in their optoelectronic response which have a crucial influence on the performance, particularly for long‐time response. Here, a survey of recent advances both in device simulation and optoelectronic and photovoltaic responses is provided, with the aim of comprehensively covering recent advances. Device simulations are included with clarifying discussions about the implications of classical drift–diffusion modeling and the inclusion of ionic charged layers near the outer carrier selective contacts. The outcomes of several transient techniques are summarized, along with the discussion of impedance and capacitive responses upon variation of bias voltage and irradiance level. In relation to the capacitive response, a discussion on the J–V curve hysteresis is also included. Although alternative models and explanations are included in the discussion, the review relies upon a key mechanism able to yield most of the rich experimental responses. Particularly for state‐of‐the‐art solar cells exhibiting efficiencies around or exceeding 20%, outer interfaces play a determining role on the PSC's performance. The ionic and electronic kinetics in the vicinity of the interfaces, coupled to surface recombination and carrier extraction mechanisms, should be carefully explored to progress further in performance enhancement. 相似文献

Conventional and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is popularly used due to side-effects and failure of approved methods, for diseases like Epilepsy and Cancer. Amygdalin, a cyanogenic diglycoside is commonly administered for cancer with other CAM therapies like vitamins and seeds of fruits like apricots and bitter almonds, due to its ability to hydrolyse to hydrogen cyanide (HCN), benzaldehyde and glucose. Over the years, several cases of cyanide toxicity on ingestion have been documented. In-vitro and in-vivo studies using various doses and modes of administration, like IV administration studies that showed no HCN formation, point to the role played by the gut microbiota for the commonly seen poisoning on consumption. The anaerobic Bacteriodetes phylum found in the gut has a high β-glucosidase activity needed for amygdalin hydrolysis to HCN. However, there are certain conditions under which these HCN levels rise to cause toxicity. Case studies have shown toxicity on ingestion of variable doses of amygdalin and no HCN side-effects on consumption of high doses. This review shows how factors like probiotic and prebiotic consumption, other CAM therapies, obesity, diet, age and the like, that alter gut consortium, are responsible for the varying conditions under which toxicity occurs and can be further studied to set-up conditions for safe oral doses. It also indicates ways to delay or quickly treat cyanide toxicity due to oral administration and, reviews conflicts on amygdalin's anti-cancer abilities, dose levels, mode of administration and pharmacokinetics that have hindered its official acceptance at a therapeutic level. 相似文献

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) -induced gastric inflammation impacts the functions of leptin- and ghrelin-producing cells in the gastroduodenum. Inflammation resulting from H. pylori sensing via Toll-like receptors (TLRs) and the associated downstream signaling largely remain ambiguous. Here, we investigated the role of gut hormones, pro-inflammatory cytokines and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with TLR 4p14 in H. pylori disease in 30 subjects with non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD), 40 with peptic ulcer disease (PUD) and 15 with gastric cancer (GC) subjects positive and negative for H. pylori infection. The level of pro-inflammatory cytokines was directly proportional to the severity of gastritis, and disease status influenced the levels of gut hormones and pro-inflammatory cytokines. TLR-1 SNPs rs4833095 and TLR-10 SNPs rs10004195 and were directly associated with H. pylori disease, and were up-regulated in the presence of H. pylori in a genotype-independent manner. We concluded that TLR-1 rs4833095 and TLR10 rs10004195 confer susceptibility to development of gastroduodenal disease, especially GC in H.pylori disease. 相似文献

Enhancement in activity of an invertase from the thermophilic fungus Thermomyces lanuginosus by exogenous proteins 总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
A highly purified invertase from a thermophilic fungus Thermomyces lanuginosus showed enhanced activity when incubated with exogenous proteins. These proteins also stabilized the invertase when incubated at 50°C, 4°C and –20°C. However, none of these proteins stabilized the invertase at or above 55°C, the temperature of inactivation. This property was found to be specific for the thermophilic invertase, as no such activation was observed for the mesophilic invertases from yeasts. 相似文献

Endophytic fungi are reported to produce diverse classes of secondary metabolites. This study investigated the antimicrobial and free radical scavenging activity of a foliar endophytic fungus from Nothapodytes foetida, a medium sized tree known to produce the antineoplastic compound camptothecin. The fungal isolate was identified as Bionectria ochroleuca based on the ITS rDNA analysis. The differences among endophytic, pathogenic and free living Bionectria ochroleuca were established by RNA secondary structure analysis. The metabolites showed a broad spectrum of antibacterial, antifungal and anti-dermatophytic activity. Minimum inhibitory concentration values of ethyl acetate extracts were in the range of 78–625 μg/mL against all test organisms, except for Pseudomonas aeruginosa (5 mg/mL). Antimicrobial components in the ethyl acetate extract were identified by GC-MS analysis. The isolate was also produced volatile antifungal compounds. A dose-dependent free radical quenching was observed in the ethyl acetate extract. This is the first report on Bionectria sp. as an endophyte of N. foetida. The results indicate that the B. ochroleuca NOTL33 isolate is a potential source of antimicrobial agents and could be used as an effective biofumigant. 相似文献

Plasmodium falciparum harbors an essential relict plastid called the apicoplast that is involved in several important biosynthetic processes. Over 500 nuclear encoded proteins are imported into the organelle that is now recognized as an important therapeutic target. These proteins contain an N-terminal transit peptide sequence essential for apicoplast targeting during which the P. falciparum Hsp70-1 plays an important role. In the present study, we have focused on the in vitro interactions of PfHsp70-1 with synthetic peptides endowed with transit peptide like features. The peptides exhibit higher affinity for PfHsp70-1 in the presence of ADP compared to ATP. The results highlight the positional importance of selected residues in the designed peptides for affinity. They suggest that better peptide affinity for the protein requires a Lys at second position, retention of aromatic residue at the last position, and absence of acidic residues at any position in the transit peptides. Overall, the present work is the first in vitro fluorescence-based study of PfHsp70-1 with peptides possessing transit peptide-like features. 相似文献

Soil-borne fungal pathogen, Fusarium oxysporum causes major economic losses by inducing necrosis and wilting symptoms in many crop plants. Management of fusarium wilt is achieved mainly by the use of chemical fungicides which affect the soil health and their efficiency is often limited by pathogenic variability. Hence understanding the nature of interaction between pathogen and host may help to select and improve better cultivars. Current research evidences highlight the role of oxidative burst and antioxidant enzymes indicating that ROS act as an important signaling molecule in banana defense response against Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense. The role of jasmonic acid signaling in plant defense against necrotrophic pathogens is well recognized. But recent studies show that the role of salicylic acid is complex and ambiguous against necrotrophic pathogens like Fusarium oxysporum, leading to many intriguing questions about its relationship between other signaling compounds. In case of banana, a major challenge is to identify specific receptors for effector proteins like SIX proteins and also the components of various signal transduction pathways. Significant progress has been made to uncover the role of defense genes but is limited to only model plants such as Arabidopsis and tomato. Keeping this in view, we review the host response, pathogen diversity, current understanding of biochemical and molecular changes that occur during host and pathogen interaction. Developing resistant cultivars through mutation, breeding, transgenic and cisgenic approaches have been discussed. This would help us to understand host defenses against Fusarium oxysporum and to formulate strategies to develop tolerant cultivars. 相似文献

Polyamines are essential compounds for growth and development in plants. An attempt has been made to find out the endogenous
polyamine profiles in various parts and during the ontogeny of fruit formation of two commercially important Coffea species viz., arabica and canephora. Putrescine (Put), spermine (Spm) and spermidine (Spd) are the predominant polyamines during the ontogeny of fruit and their
level increased with the advancement of fruit development. However, in the initial stages of flower and fruit development
Spm levels were found to be decreased. Elevated levels of major polyamines Put, Spd, and Spm were observed in zygotic embryos
than in somatic embryos. Along with this cadavarine (Cad) and other biogenic amines viz., tyramine (Tyr) and tryptamine (Try)
were also found during the ontogeny of fruit in C. canephora. In this study the enodogenous polyamine profiles in coffee tissues and beans have been addressed. 相似文献

Aromatic edible root of D. hamiltonii was subjected to the extraction of the antioxidant rich fraction. Different parts of root namely whole tuber, peel, tuber without peel and medullary portion were extracted with dichloromethane (European Patent No. W02005063272). The extract was found to contain flavor compound 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde (2H4MB), which was identified by TLC and GC. Medullary portion was found to be rich in 2H4MB, (73.73 mg g(-1) dry tissue) followed by peel, containing 68.34 mg g(-1) 2H4MB. Different concentration of dichloromethane extracts were subjected for antioxidant assay by DPPH (1,1 dihydroxy 2-picryl hydrazyl) method, this has shown 44, 46.7% radical scavenging activity in case of medullary, peel extracts and 67.3% in case of pure 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde at 100 ppm concentration, whereas ascorbic acid used as standard showed 94.3% activity. In beta-carotene linoleate model system (b-CLAMS) 43.46 and 45.7% antioxidant activity was observed in medullary and peel extracts at 100 ppm concentrations respectively, whereas standard 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde exhibited 69.64% at 100 ppm and BHA (butylated hydroxyl anisole) 90.1% activity also at 100-ppm level. Similarly hydroxyl radical scavenging activity was found to be 48.36, 46.86, 48.26 and 73.60% in whole tuber, medullary, peel and standard 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy benzaldehyde respectively at 100 ppm levels. This is the first report on the antioxidant activity of D. hamiltonii. Results have shown that 2H4MB is one of the major constituents responsible for antioxidant activity. Hence the extract of D. hamiltonii can be utilized for the production of antioxidant rich fractions required for various health benefits. 相似文献
