黄土高原地区提取植被信息方法的研究   总被引:16,自引:0,他引:16  
研究评价了适于黄土高原地区植被信息提取的最佳植被指数和方法。该地区分布有落叶阔叶林、草原和荒漠,植被类型丰富多样。然而土壤背景对植被信息提取有较大影响。经对比分析,修正后的土壤调节植被指数(MSAVI), 不仅能增强植被信号,并能大大减小土壤背景的影响,同时又能宏观地反映该地区植被类型的分布状况。它是黄土高原地区目前提取植被信息较好的植被指数。标准化差值植被指数(NDVI)、土壤调节植被指数(SAVI)和垂直植被指数(PVI)分别适用于高密度、中等密度和稀少植被地区植被信息的提取和监测。各种植被指数多时象累加产生的图像能较好地提取植被信息  相似文献

Zika virus (ZIKV) is a neurotropic flavivirus that causes several diseases including birth defects such as microcephaly. Intrinsic immunity is known to be a frontline defense against viruses through host anti-viral restriction factors. Limited knowledge is available on intrinsic immunity against ZIKV in brains. Amyloid precursor protein (APP) is predominantly expressed in brains and implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer''s diseases. We have found that ZIKV interacts with APP, and viral infection increases APP expression via enhancing protein stability. Moreover, we identified the viral peptide, HGSQHSGMIVNDTGHETDENRAKVEITPNSPRAEATLGGFGSLGL, which is capable of en-hancing APP expression. We observed that aging brain tissues with APP had protective effects on ZIKV infection by reducing the availability of the viruses. Also, knockdown of APP expression or blocking ZIKV-APP interactions enhanced ZIKV replication in human neural progenitor/stem cells. Finally, intracranial infection of ZIKV in APP-null neonatal mice resulted in higher mortality and viral yields. Taken together, these findings suggest that APP is a restriction factor that protects against ZIKV by serving as a decoy receptor, and plays a protective role in ZIKV-mediated brain injuries.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Anthrax toxin, secreted by Bacillus anthracis, consists of protective antigen (PA) and either lethal factor (LF) or edema factor (EF). PA, the receptor-binding component of the toxin, translocates LF or EF into the cytosol, where the latter proteins exert their toxic effects. We hypothesized that anthrax toxin fusion proteins could be used to kill virus-infected cells and tumor cells, if PA could be redirected to unique receptors found only on these cells. MATERIALS AND METHODS: To test this hypothesis in a model system, amino acids 410-419 of the human p62(c-myc) epitope were fused to the C-terminus of PA to redirect PA to the c-Myc-specific hybridoma cell line 9E10. RESULTS: The PA-c-Myc fusion protein killed both mouse macrophages and 9E10 hybridoma cells when administered with LF or an LF fusion protein (FP59), respectively. Similar results were obtained with PA, which suggests that PA-c-Myc used the endogenous PA receptor to enter the cells. By blocking the endogenous PA receptors on 9E10 cells with the competitive inhibitor PA SNKEDeltaFF, the PA-c-Myc was directed to an alternate receptor, i.e., the anti-c-Myc antibodies presented on the cell surface. The c-Myc IgG were proven to act as receptors because the addition of a synthetic peptide containing the c-Myc epitope along with PA SNKEDeltaFF further reduced the toxicity of PA-c-Myc + FP59. CONCLUSION: This study shows that PA can be redirected to alternate receptors by adding novel epitopes to the C-terminus of PA, enabling the creation of cell-directed toxins for therapeutic purposes.  相似文献

Pleiotrophin (PTN) is involved in tumour progression, angiogenesis and metastasis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression level of PTN in the serum of patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and to explore the clinical significance of PTN. Serum samples from 128 patients with SCLC, 120 healthy volunteers (HV) and 60 patients with benign lung disease (BLD) were collected. The levels of serum PTN were determined with ELISA and its correlation with the clinical data was examined. The serum PTN levels in SCLC patients were significantly higher than that in BLD patients (P < 0.05) or HV (P < 0.05). With a cutoff value of 258.18 ng/mL, the sensitivity and specificity of PTN to SCLC patients and BLD patients, SCLC patients and HV were 79.2% and 91.7%, 86.7% and 95.8% respectively. An area under the curve for all stages of SCLC resulting from PTN, which was significantly better than the other tumour markers tested including progastrin‐releasing peptide and neuron‐specific enolase. High serum PTN levels appear to correlate with poor survival in patients with SCLC. These results suggest that PTN levels in the serum could be a new effective biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of SCLC.  相似文献

Calcineurin is a Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein phosphatase that is abundantly expressed in several specific areas of the brain, which are exceptionally vulnerable to stroke, epilepsy, and neurodegenerative diseases. In this study, we assessed the effects of high level activity of calcineurin on neuronal cells. Virus-mediated high level constitutive activity of calcineurin rendered neuronal cells susceptible to apoptosis induced by serum reduction or by a brief exposure to calcium ionophore. Adenovirus-mediated, high level forced activity of calcineurin induced cytochrome c/caspase-3-dependent apoptosis in neurons. Preincubation with the calcineurin inhibitors cyclosporin A and FK506 reduced susceptibility to apoptosis. High level constitutive expression of Bcl-2 or CrmA or incubation with a specific caspase-3 inhibitor inhibited the calcineurin-induced apoptosis. These data indicate that high level constitutive activity of calcineurin predisposes neuronal cells to cytochrome c/caspase-3 dependent apoptosis even under sublethal conditions.  相似文献

The insoluble component of stratum corneum of rat epidermis yields two major bands after extraction with 8 M urea-mercaptoethanol-dithiothreitol. The ratio of these two bands is about 1:1 in terms of protein stain intensity and S-[14C]carboxymethyl label. Both polypeptides were purified to homogeneity by DE-52-cellulose, sodium dodecyl sulfate hydroxylapatite C column chromatography, and preparative DodSO4-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The heavier polypeptide contains 30% alpha helix and the lighter contains 27% alpha helix as determined by circular dichroism studies. Both are sensitive to Pronase and resistant to trypsin, collagenase, and elastase. The lighter chain is stable to pepsin but the heavier can be partially degraded to a smaller polypeptide with a molecular weight similar to that of light chain. Amino acid analysis shows that the light chain contains 12 more tyrosine residues than does the heavy chain, suggesting that the light chain is not generated from the heavy chain. However, the two chains may have a common peptide region. Antiserum prepared against the heavier polypeptide can be completely absorbed by purified lighter polypeptide and vice versa indicating that both chains have some common antigenic determinants. Antibody against either chain can cross-react with the stratum corneum and keratohyalin granules in the epidermis of newborn rat as indicated by fluorescent microscopic observation. Similarly, this antibody also cross-reacts with the cell surface or the contents of spinous and granular cells, and very weakly with basal cells, indicating that the two proteins may be present in the lower strata as well as the stratum corneum.  相似文献
