Modulation of mechanosensitive calcium-selective cation channels by temperature

Gating of associations of mechanosensitive Ca²⁺-selective cation co-channels in the plasmalemma of onion epidermis has a strong and unusual temperature dependence. Tension-dependent activity rises steeply as temperature is lowered from 25°C to about 6°C, but drops to a low level at about 5°C. Under the conditions tested (with Mg²⁺ and K⁺ at the cytosolic face of outside-out membrane patches), promotion results both from more bursting at all observed linkage levels and from longer duration of bursts of co-channels linked as quadruplets and quintuplets. Co-channel conductance decreases linearly, but only modestly, with declining temperature. It is proposed that these and related mechanosensitive channels may participate in a variety of responses to temperature, including thermonasty, thermotropism, hydrotropism, and both cold damage and cold acclimation.     

REGENERATION AND SEXUAL DIFFERENTIATION OF GRIFFITHSIA JAPONICA (CERAMIACEAE,RHODOPHYTA) THROUGH SOMATIC CELL FUSION1

Hybrid cells were obtained from somatic cell fusion among male, female, and tetrasporangial plants in Griffithsia japonica Okamura by a wound-healing process. Isolated fusion cells regenerated new mature plants with mixed reproductive structures. The plants regenerated from hybrid cells between male and female plants developed into 1) spermatangiate, 2) carpogonial, 3) bisexual with spermatangia and carpogonial branches, 4) mixed-phase with spermatangia and tetrasporangia, or 5) bisexual/mixed-phase plants with spermatangia, carpogonial branches, and tetrasporangia. About 70% of the plants regenerated from hybrid cells between male and female plants produced tetrasporangia that were always formed with spermatangia on a single cell. Some of those tetrasporangia released tetraspores, six of which gave rise to mature plants. The plants regenerated from hybrid cells between male and tetrasporangial plants developed into spermatangiate, tetrasporangiate, or mixed-phase plants with spermatangia and tetrasporangia. The plants regenerated from hybrid cells between female and tetrasporangial plants developed into carpogonial, tetrasporangiate, or mixed-phase plants with carpogonial branches and tetrasporangia. All types of reproductive structures we re functional.     

小麦Kr基因在小麦与玉米或鸭茅状摩擦禾杂交中的失活

用３７个小麦（Ｔｒｉｔｉｃｕｍａｅｓｔｉｖｕｍ）品种（系）为母本,分别与黑麦（Ｓｅｃａｌｅｃｅｒｅａｌｅ）、球茎大麦（Ｈｏｒｄｅｕｍｂｕｌｂｏｓｕｍ）、玉米（Ｚｅａｍａｙｓ）和鸭茅状摩擦禾（Ｔｒｉｐｓａｃｕｍｄａｃｔｙｌｏｉｄｅｓ）杂交,比较其亲和性,小麦和玉米或鸭茅状摩擦禾杂交比小麦与黑麦或球茎大麦杂交的亲和性显著提高。携带着显性Ｋｒ１和Ｋｒ２基因的小麦品种Ｈｏｐｅ与黑麦杂交,不能形成胚,而与玉米及鸭茅状摩擦禾杂交时,成胚率分别达１６．００％和３２．５０％。表明控制小麦与黑麦及球茎大麦杂交亲和性的Ｋｒ基因系统在小麦与玉米及小麦与鸭茅状摩擦禾属间杂交中失活。讨论了还存在有其它控制小麦属间杂交亲和性的遗传调控系统的可能性。

瑞氏七鳃鳗乳酸脱氢酶（LDH）同工酶凝胶电泳分析

本文用聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳方法,对瑞氏七鳃鳗五种不同组织（骨骼肌、心、肾、肠、鳃）中ＬＤＨ同工酶进行了分析研究,结果表明,ＬＤＨ同工酶具有组织特异性,其中骨骼肌中含有五种ＬＤＨ同。酶,即ＬＤＨ１、ＬＤＨ２、ＬＤＨ３、ＬＤＨ４、ＬＤＨ５,鳃含有ＬＤＨ１和ＬＤＨ４而肾和心只含有ＬＤＨ１,肠只含有ＬＤＨ４。     

中国铜脚异丽金龟组及其分类问题讨论(鞘翅目:丽金龟科)(英)

新设的铜脚异丽金龟组包括中国异丽金龟属已知的大型、绿色种类,绝大多数为常见种,彼此形态十分近似。它们是:铜脚异丽金龟(新纪录)Anomala cupripes Hope new record,红脚异丽金龟(新种)A. rubripes sp. nov., 绿脚异丽金龟(新亚种)A. rubripes virescens ssp. nov., 彤脚异丽金龟(新种)A. ignipes sp. nov., 川直异丽金龟A. truncata Bates,滇直异丽金龟(新等级)A. truncata chlorochelys Arrow, stat, nov., 宽角异丽金龟A. expansa Bates,大绿异丽金龟(新种)A. virens sp. nov., 砂尾异丽金龟(新种)A. granuliformis sp. nov. 和檐角异丽金龟(新种)A. planicorna sp. nov.。其中红脚异丽金龟和绿脚异丽金龟是我国南部和台湾的重要害虫,国内外文献中长期误作铜脚异丽金龟引用至今。     

人类疱疹病毒6型可诱生TNF－α

用生物活性法和双抗体夹心桥联酶免疫吸附（ＥＬＩＳＡ）法检测了人类疱疹病素６型（ＨＨＶ－６）ＧＳ株和南京地方株ＣＮ５,８,１０感染的淋巴细胞培养上清中的肿瘤坏死因子（ＴＮＦ）的水平,发现培养２４ｈ即可检出高水平的ＴＮＦ,４８～７２ｈ述到峰值,此后逐渐下降,与未感染耐照组比较有及其显著的差异（Ｐ＜０．００１）。ＧＳ株与地方株同诱生ＴＮＦ水平无儿著性差异（Ｐ＞０．１）,三株地方株诱生ＴＮＦ也无显著性差异（Ｐ＞０．０５）。ＴＮＦ－α单抗可以完全中和培养上清中ＴＮＦ的活性,证实上清中有ＴＮＦ－α。与ＬＰＳ比较,ＨＨＶ－６诱生ＴＮＦ－α的能力要强得多。     

猪肝刺激物质pHSS对离体肝细胞DNA合成的影响

应用[~3H]TdR掺入离体培养大鼠肝细胞DNA的方法,测定由本室提取的pHSS的生物活性。结果表明,pHSS可显著促进原代培养大鼠肝细胞的DNA合成,其促进率约为对照组的10倍左右。培养液中血清浓度对pHSS的生物活性表达有显著影响,不同浓度血清可以使pHSS表现出不同的量效关系,这些结果在Buffello大鼠肝细胞系的实验中得到进一步证实。在低剂量pHSS的刺激下,不同年龄大鼠肝细胞的[~3H]TdR掺入率无显著差异。但高剂量时,pHSS对幼鼠作用不明显。     

水稻叶片对模拟酸雨伤害的生理反应
