Three new Cu(II) complexes of formula [Cu(L1)(pyz)(CH3OH)]ClO4 (1), [Cu(L1)(4,4′-bpy)(ClO4)]·0.5H2O (2) and [{Cu(L2)(ClO4)}2(μ-4,4′-bpy)] (3) have been synthesised by using pyrazine (pyz) and 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-bpy) and tridentate O,N,O-donor hydrazone ligands, L1H and L2H, obtained by the condensation of 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,4-pentanedione with salicyloylhydrazide and benzhydrazide, respectively. The ligands and their complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopies. Single crystal X-ray structure analysis evidences the metal ion in a slightly deformed square pyramidal geometry in all the complexes. However complexes 1 and 2 are mononuclear with pyz and 4,4′-bpy, respectively, showing an unusual monodentate behavior, while complex 3 is dinuclear with 4,4′-bpy adopting the typical bridging coordination mode. Self assembly of the complex units by hydrogen bonding interactions produces one-dimensional arrangement in each crystal packing. The magnetic characterization of complex 3 indicates a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the Cu(II) ions (J = −0.96 cm−1) mediated through the long 4,4′-bpy bridge. Electrochemical behavior of the complexes is also discussed.  相似文献

The ability of the azido ligand to generate various chemical architectures and magnetic couplings is surveyed, using Cu(II) and Ni(II) derivatives. Depending on the ratio between the azide salt, the metal salt and the tridentate Schiff base LH (L?:1,1,1-trifluoro-7-(dimethylamino)-4-methyl-5-aza-3-hepten-2-onato), molecular bimetallic [CuL(μ1,3-N3)]2 (1) and monometallic [NiL(μ1-N3)] (2) as well as extended {[CuL(μ1,1-N3)]}n (3) and {[Ni21,1-N3)(μ1,3-N3)(L)2(MeOH)2]}n (4) chains were obtained. These systems were fully characterized by X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In 1, the asymmetrical double μ1,3-N3 bridge mediates a ferromagnetic exchange whereas 3 and 4 exhibit unusual symmetric and asymmetric single μ1,1-N3 coordination modes that transmit weak ferromagnetic interactions. Ab initio calculations were systematically performed to clarify the origin of the observed magnetic exchanges and to study the role of the asymmetric coordination modes on the magnetic coupling.  相似文献

Root segments of Pisum sativum L. were transformed by several strains of Agrobacterium rhizogenes. The resulting hairy roots, as well as apical segments from untransformed pea roots, were used to initiate root lines cultured in vitro. Levels of free IAA were quantified in the sub-cultured lines by gas-chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, using selected ion monitoring. For most of the cultured untransformed and transformed root lines the IAA content was very small, compared with levels in untransformed intact primary roots. However, an agropine-type hairy root line (incited by strain 15834) contained significantly higher amounts of IAA. The peculiar phenotype of this root line (abundant production of calli) appears to be associated with an increased IAA level, as opposed to most of the hairy root lines, where the extensive secondary root proliferation associated with the hairy-root disease cannot be merely attributed to a markedly enhanced IAA content.  相似文献

The tips of intact maize (cv. LG 11) roots, maintained vertically, were pretreated with a droplet of buffer solution or a bead of anion exchange resin, both containing [214-C]abscisic acid (ABA). A significant basipetal ABA movement was observed and two metabolites of ABA (possibly phaseic acid and dihydrophaseic acid) were found. ABA pretreatment enhanced the gravireaction of 10 mm apical root segments kept both in the dark and in the light. Summary Killed Brucella abortus organisms of the vaccinal strain B19 were detoxified by incubation in NaOH. A 24-h incubation in 0.01 M NaOH increased the LD50 of smooth (S) and rough (R) organisms 2–3 times in normal mice and 50–100 times in adrenalectomized mice. This NaOH treatment did not alter the antitumor activity of Brucella abortus as shown in EL4 lymphoma- and Lewis carcinoma-grafted mice. After incubation in NaOH, S bacteria injected IV retained their ability to provoke spleen hypertrophy and antibody synthesis, and S and R organisms injected into he footpad had comparable ability to induce granulomas. NaOH treatment tended to diminish the mitogenic activity of R bacteria for spleen cell cultures.  相似文献

Apical root segments of Zea mays L. cv. Orla 264 undergo some geotropic curvature in complete darkness but the curvature increases considerably if prior to geostimulation the segments are given a light pretreatment. If the light treatment is follwed by a dark treatment before the root is geostimulated the light-induced response is not changed by dark periods up to 2 h but declines with longer ones, and disappears completely after 5 h of darkness.  相似文献

Quantitative analyses of abscisic acid (ABA) in different parts of maize root tips (Zea mays L. cv. Kelvedon 33) were performed by mass fragmentography using the hexadeuterated analog of ABA as internal standard. It was found that the cap and the apex contained 36.1 g and 66.5 g ABA kg–1 fresh weight, respectively. A validated high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-mass spectrometry method has been developed for the simultaneous assay of leukotrienes (LTs) B4 and B5, derived from omega-6 arachidonic acid and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), respectively, produced by human polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNLs) stimulated with calcium ionophore A23187. The HPLC separation of PMNL ether extracts was performed on a reversed-phase column using a gradient elution program of 15 mM ammonium acetate and MeOH. Detection was performed by electrospray ionization-single quadripole mass spectrometry using single ion reaction monitoring in the negative mode at m/z 333.3 [M-H](-) and m/z 335.2 for prostaglandin B2/LTB5 and LTB4, respectively. The calibration curves for LTB4 and LTB5 were linear over the ranges 165-990 and 0.825-13.2 ng/ml, respectively. The lower limit of quantification for LTB5 was 0.66 ng/ml. The mean absolute recoveries for LTB4 and LTB5 were 81+/-4.8% and 82+/-5.9%, respectively. The method is precise with mean interday CVs for LTB4 and LTB5 within 7.1-10.7, and 3.8-9.4%, respectively, and accurate (range of interday deviations for LTB4 and LTB5 were -7.8 to 1, and -5 to 9% , respectively). The method has been validated and is being applied to the simultaneous quantification of the leukotrienes B4 and B5 in stimulated PMNLs in a clinical protocol studying the influence of a diet enriched in omega-3 PUFA on various surrogate markers of inflammation in young cystic fibrosis patients.  相似文献
