cGMP、cAMP及两种cAMP衍生物对大鼠肝细胞核体外转录系统的影响

 本文介绍了以α-鹅膏蕈碱和低浓度KCl为手段建立了RNA聚合酶Ⅰ、RNA聚合酶Ⅱ活性的细胞核转录系统进而研究了cGMP、cAMP、cAMP丁酯及cAMP硫代环磷酰二乙胺对大鼠肝细胞核中RNA聚合酶Ⅰ与Ⅱ活性的影响。结果显示cGMP可以提高RNA聚合酶Ⅰ的活性;cAMP主要提高RNA聚合酶Ⅱ的活极,而cAMP分子结构变化产生的丁酯及硫代环磷酰二乙胺衍生物可增强cAMP的这种作用,为深入研究cAMP的构效关系提供了实验依据。

用数学方法推导出了自交作物群体遗传组成的分析公式。根据所推出的公式,可以计算出任何自交世代群体的基因型频率和同一表现型中各基因型的频率。对自交群体遗传组成的分析可用于质量性状的选择,确定选择时需要的有效群体大小和选出有效群体的大小,亦有助于确定选择的最佳世代。     

Simultaneous total correction of temporomandibular ankylosis and facial asymmetry

Ankylosis of the temporomandibular joint not only prevents mouth opening and chewing, but also affects the growth and position of the mandible. This produces progressive facial distortion with devastating psychosocial effects compounding the already difficult problem of not being able to open the mouth. Over the past 6 years, 18 patients in Canada and Taiwan were treated by excision of a large block of bone at the ankylosis and repositioning of the jaw, with the addition of osteotomies as necessary to produce a symmetrical face with good occlusion. Bilateral cases were treated at one operation in a similar way. The temporomandibular joint and absent ramus were constructed with a costochondral graft taken from the opposite chest. Some patients were treated with intermaxillary fixation for 8 weeks, while others had no fixation, but there was no difference in the effectiveness of correction of the ankylosis.     

Isolation and reconstitution of the RNA replicase of the cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus of silkworm,Bombyx mori

Summary After irradiation of the virus particles of CPV, the RNA replicase associated with the virion was isolated in the form of a genome-replicase complex with DEAE-Sephadex A-25 chromatography. This complex was then treated with Triton X-100 and purified by phosphocellulose column chromatography. The RNA replicase reconstituted with the doublestranded RNA of CPV showed both the enzyme activity of RNA polymerase and methyltransferase. The single-stranded RNA could not serve as the template for the RNA replicase. The role of the RNA replicase of CPV is discussed.     

The material properties of bone-particle impregnated PMMA

The elastic Young's modulus and shear modulus of bone-particle impregnated polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) has been measured experimentally at room temperature as a function of bone particle concentration. It was found that the moduli increased with increasing bone particle content. This increase was less than the stiffness increase predicted by higher-order composite theory [1, 2] under the assumption of perfect bonding between particles and matrix. It was concluded that a bond existed but that it was not a perfect bond.     

Somatic embryogenesis and plant regeneration from immature inflorescence segments of Coix lacryma-jobi

Callus was obtained from segments of immature inflorescence of Coix lacryma-jobi cultured on N6 medium containing 1–2 mg/l 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 3–5% sucrose. Plantlets were regenerated when embryogenic calluses were transferred onto MS medium with 0.5 mg/l kinetin and 0.01 mg/l naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). Regenerated plants had the diploid chromosome number (2n=20).
