猪肺炎支原体膜上ATP酶生化性质的研究

猪肺炎支原体膜上ATP酶为Mg~(2+)激活,乌巴因不抑制。DCCD和寡霉素对该酶也无抑制作用,只有NBD与Quercetin才有一定的抑制效果。用梯度凝胶电泳可获均一的具有活性的酶蛋白带。     

生产转基因动物的技术现状

Determination of ovulation time in bitches based on teasing, vaginal cytology, and elisa for progesterone

The estrous cycle of 16 mature mongrel female dogs was monitored to evaluate the accuracy of teasing, vaginal cytology and quantitative ELISA progesterone assay to determine ovulation. The dogs were presented to male, and blood samples and vaginal swabs were taken daily during proestrus and estrus. Selected serum samples collected during estrus were assayed for endogenous LH by radioimmunoassay (RIA). Plasma samples collected during proestrus and estrus were assayed for progesterone with a commercially avialable ELISA kit. Ovulation was considered to take place 48 h after the preovulatory LH peak. Vaginal cytology smears were stained with Wright's stain and evaluated for the percentage of superficial squamous cells. Day 1 of diestrus (Day 1) was defined as a drop of 20% or more in the total number of superficial cells. Two standard curves (linear and best fitted curves) commonly used with ELISA were compared together and with the RIA progesterone assay. Ovulation was estimated to occur when progesterone concentration was 4.9 +/- 1.0ng/ml (mean +/- SD, n = 15), with a range of 3.4 to 6.6 ng/ml. Based on vaginal cytology, ovulation took place 6.9 +/- 1.6 d (n = 15) after 80% of the squamous cells were superficial and 6.8 +/- 1.4 d (n = 16) before Day 1. Ovulation took place 2.1 +/- 3.9 d (n=11) after the first day of standing estrus and 8.8 +/- 1.5 d (n = 10) before the last day of receptivity. The two standard curves were found parallel to each other and to the RIA progesterone assay. Based on the results of the present study, ELISA progesterone assay and determination of the first day of estrus by vaginal cytology are reliable methods for predicting ovulation, whereas the last day of receptivity as determined by teasing and Day 1 as determined by vaginal cytology are reliable methods to retrospectively estimate ovulation time.     

γ-氨基丁酸、荷包牡丹碱和L-谷氨酸钠对猫和家兔同侧和对侧图形视觉诱发电位的影响

在猫和家兔大脑半球一侧视区17/18交界处施加γ—氨基丁酸(GABA)、荷包牡丹碱和L—谷氨酸钠,以及用氯化钾和冷冻阻遏的方法,记录对侧和同侧皮层相应处图形视觉诱发电位(PVEP)的变化。讨论了GABA、荷包牡丹碱和L—谷氨酸钠对猫和兔的对侧和同侧PVEP的影响。     

The ecophysiological significance of calcium bicarbonate in the urine of subterranean rodents: testing a hypothesis

1. A comparative study of calcium and bicarbonate in the urine was carried out on the subterranean mole rat Cryptomys hottenttus and the terrestrial vlei rat Otomys irroratus. 2. The two species were kept on two different diets; carrots, a high calcium diet (41 mg/ 100 kg) or potatoes, a low calcium diet (14 mg/ 100g). 3. The results show that the urine of the mole rat contained high values of calcium bicarbonate on either diet. 4. The urine of the vlei rat showed high values of calcium bicarbonate only when kept on the high calcium diet. 5. From these results we assume that in subterranean rodents excretion of calcium bicarbonate is an adaptive mechanism to unload CO2 without increasing its concentration in the hypercapnic environment.     

少年游泳运动员冬训期间HbA_2百分含量的规律性变化

 本研究用聚丙烯酰胺凝胶垂直板电泳,双波长扫描仪对少年游泳运动员的HbA_2百分含量进行测定。发现大运动量训练对HbA_2水平是有影响的。经六天训练(星期二、五为大运动量训练),星期日休息一天,次周的星期一晨HbA_2百分含量升高,星期二大运动量训练后的次日晨HbA_2百分含量显著下降。运动性贫血的运动员,其HbA_2百分含量一周中的变化趋势与正常运动员相似,但HbA_2百分含量比正常运动员高。     

Serum progesterone concentration in pyometritic and normal postpartum dairy cows

Two studies were conducted to evaluate the concentration of serum progesterone in pyometritic cows and relate it to palpation of ovarian structures per rectum . In Trial 1, serum samples from 34 pyometritic cows were assayed for progesterone. Mean serum progesterone concentrations were 6.8 +/- 0.7 ng/ml. In Trial 2, each of 54 pyometritic cows was paired with a control cow on the basis of days post partum (18-50 days). Mean concentration of progesterone was 9.7 +/- 1.0 ng/ml for the pyometritic cows and 5.7 +/- 0.8 ng/ml in control cows (P<0.005). Progesterone concentration was greater (P<0.005) in both groups of cows with palpable corpora lutea (CLs). Ninety-six percent of the pyometritic cows had palpable CLs compared to 57% of the control group. Comparing serum progesterone only in cows with a palpable CL, the mean concentration was still greater (P<0.005) in the pyometritic group (10.6 +/- 1.0 ng/ml) than the control group (6.6 +/- 1.0 ng/ml). Compatability of rectal palpation findings and concentrations of serum progesterone were 92.6% for the pyometritic group and 72.2% for the control group. Progesterone concentration increased (P<0.05) by increased days post partum in Trial 2 (n=54) but not in Trial 1 (n=23). In both Trials 1 and 2, uterine size due to pyometra increased (P<0.05) with increased days post partum. No other associations were found.     

Stimulation of ethylene evolution and abscission in cotton by 2-chloroethanephosphonic Acid

Ethrel, a mixture of 2-chloroethanephosphonic acid and its ethyl ester, hastens abscission of leaves, debladed petioles, and flower buds of cotton plants (Gossypium hirsutum, L.). Both young and old leaves abscissed while still green. Application of Ethrel stimulated evolution of ethylene, and this response preceded abscission. Air concentrations of ethylene around enclosed, treated-plants were adequate to produce abscission in plants. Non-treated plants defoliated when enclosed with plants sprayed with Ethrel. The stimulation of abscission of explant petioles by Ethrel was reversed by naphthalene acetic acid. The stimulation of abscission by Ethrel was concluded to be mediated by ethylene.
