This study aimed to investigate the kinematic and kinetic changes when resistance is applied in horizontal and vertical directions, produced by using different percentages of body weight, caused by jumping movements during a dynamic warm-up. The group of subjects consisted of 35 voluntary male athletes (19 basketball and 16 volleyball players; age: 23.4 ± 1.4 years, training experience: 9.6 ± 2.7 years; height: 177.2 ± 5.7 cm, body weight: 69.9 ± 6.9 kg) studying Physical Education, who had a jump training background and who were training for 2 hours, on 4 days in a week. A dynamic warm-up protocol containing seven specific resistance movements with specific resistance corresponding to different percentages of body weight (2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%) was applied randomly on non consecutive days. Effects of different warm-up protocols were assessed by pre-/post- exercise changes in jump height in the countermovement jump (CMJ) and the squat jump (SJ) measured using a force platform and changes in hip and knee joint angles at the end of the eccentric phase measured using a video camera. A significant increase in jump height was observed in the dynamic resistance warm-up conducted with different percentages of body weight (p < 0.05). On the other hand, no significant difference in different percentages of body weight states was observed (p > 0.05). In jump movements before and after the warm-up, while no significant difference between the vertical ground reaction forces applied by athletes was observed (p > 0.05), in some cases of resistance, a significant reduction was observed in hip and knee joint angles (p < 0.05). The dynamic resistance warm-up method was found to cause changes in the kinematics of jumping movements, as well as an increase in jump height values. As a result, dynamic warm-up exercises could be applicable in cases of resistance corresponding to 6-10% of body weight applied in horizontal and vertical directions in order to increase the jump performance acutely. 相似文献

Motivation
Paired-end sequencing protocols, offered by next generation sequencing (NGS) platforms like Illumia, generate a pair of reads for every DNA fragment in a sample. Although this protocol has been utilized for several metagenomics studies, most taxonomic binning approaches classify each of the reads (forming a pair), independently. The present work explores some simple but effective strategies of utilizing pairing-information of Illumina short reads for improving the accuracy of taxonomic binning of metagenomic datasets. The strategies proposed can be used in conjunction with all genres of existing binning methods.Results
Validation results suggest that employment of these “Binpairs” strategies can provide significant improvements in the binning outcome. The hemolytic action of a homologous series of β-d-glucopyranosyl-1-alkylphosphates on human erythrocytes has been examined. The agent's affinity for the red cell membrane and the mean number of the agent's molecules which, upon interaction with an erythrocyte, make it undergo hemolysis have been measured. The contribution of the head group and that of a CH2 group of the surfactants to the free energy of the agents' binding to the cell membrane have been estimated. The effect of the surfactants on the red cell volume and the lytic concentrations of the agents have been measured. Quinate:NAP(P)+-oxidoreductase (QORase, EC 1.1.1.24), which catalyzes the interconversion of quinic and 3-dehydroquinic acids, was purified from the needles and developing xylem cells of Larix sibirica. The enzymes from these two tissues were partially characterized and compared. QORase from needles had optimum pH at 9.0 and apparent Km values of 1.84 mM for quinic acid and 0.19 mM for NADP+. The enzyme was activated by phosphoenolpyruvate. Gallic and protocatechuic acids were formed in a reaction mixture of purified enzyme from needles as final products of quinic acid transformation. QORase from developing xylem cells showed pH optimum at 10.0 and had apparent Km values of 0.70 mM for quinic acid and 0.05 mM for NADP+. The enzyme was not affected by PEP. The divalent cations Co2+ and Mn2+ at least doubled activity of QORase from both sources but Mg2+ affected the enzyme from needles only. The spatial organization and regulation of quinic acid metabolism in the autotrophic and heterotrophic cells of conifers and the role of QORase in this process are discussed. 相似文献

Subarctic mountain birch (Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii) forests in northern Fennoscandia have shown a slight recovery from recent severe defoliation by the winter moth (Operophtera brumata). This development in trees is hypothesized to be a result of ameliorated growing conditions through increased summer temperatures.
We examined if accumulated thermal sum affects the ability of mountain birches to tolerate foliage losses. We quantified the
number of leaf-bearing short shoots, the emergence of inflorescences and the seasonal height growth of long shoots in both
intact and defoliated trees. We also determined the concentrations of carbon and nitrogen in leaves and carbohydrates in roots.
Our results show that defoliation constrained the growth of long shoots, as well as the emergence of inflorescences regardless
of thermal sum accumulation. However, the number of leaf-bearing short shoots did not differ between intact and defoliated
trees. In the both tree groups, the amounts of emerging leaves increased as a response to thermal sum accumulation. Also the
leaf carbon concentration increased in defoliated trees at higher thermal sums, whereas it decreased in intact controls. Generally,
the mean carbohydrate concentrations were greater in roots of defoliated than intact trees. However, with increased thermal
sums, root carbohydrates increased in intact trees but remained the same in defoliated trees. We conclude that thermal sum
accumulation does not greatly promote the recovery of mountain birches. Although the damaged trees produced more leaves at
warmer growing sites, this did not increase their height growth or carbohydrate gain in roots. 相似文献

The contents of 13 hydrolysable tannins in the leaves of white birch (Betula pubescens L.) trees were analysed at twelve stages throughout the growing season. All individual galloylglucoses, from 1-O-galloyl-beta-D-glucopyranose to 1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-galloyl-beta-D-glucopyranose, accumulated in young leaves, while ellagitannins showed significantly variable seasonal trends. The major ellagitannin during the whole growing season was pedunculagin while 2,3-(S)-HHDP-glucopyranose. the end product of the proposed ellagitannin pathway, accumulated in mature leaves. Relationships between the characteristics of seasonal variation in the contents of individual ellagitannins and their chemical structures were used to unravel the biogenesis of ellagitannins in birch leaves. Evidence of degradation of ellagitannins through hydrolysis during leaf growth and development is presented and implications for herbivory are discussed. 相似文献
