The species composition of fleas in the Moiynkum Desert (Chu-Talas interfluve) and indices of their domination on different hosts was established on the basis of long-term observations (1973–2000). The most significant and prolonged changes in the population density of mass flea species (Xenopsylla gerbilli minax and Coptopsylla lamellifer, parasites of the great gerbil) occur in association with changes of the population density of rodents. Changes in the population density of rodents are usually observed year after similar changes in the population density of hosts. The leading role in the transmission of the plague vector belongs to the flea X. gerbilli minax.  相似文献

Proteins in the actin depolymerizing factor (ADF)/cofilin family are essential for rapid F-actin turnover, and most depolymerize actin in a pH-dependent manner. Complexes of human and plant ADF with F-actin at different pH were examined using electron microscopy and a novel method of image analysis for helical filaments. Although ADF changes the mean twist of actin, we show that it does this by stabilizing a preexisting F-actin angular conformation. In addition, ADF induces a large ( approximately 12 degrees ) tilt of actin subunits at high pH where filaments are readily disrupted. A second ADF molecule binds to a site on the opposite side of F-actin from that of the previously described ADF binding site, and this second site is only largely occupied at high pH. All of these states display a high degree of cooperativity that appears to be an integral part of F-actin.  相似文献

Fetal cells isolated from maternal peripheral blood during the second trimester of pregnancy were analyzed. Blood samples were centrifuged in a Ficoll-Paque gradient, the mononuclear cell fraction was isolated and stained with fluorescent monoclonal antibodies against glycophorine A (GPA + PE), transferrin (CD71 + FITC), and Hoechst 33342. Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) was conducted on a Vantage flow cytofluorimeter (Becton Dickinson). Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with Y chromosome-specific DNA probe revealed fetal cells that exhibited Y signal in all 20 blood samples obtained from women pregnant with healthy male fetuses. The concentration of these fetal cells averaged about 1.34% and ranged from 0.1 to 4.2% in different blood samples. In six cases, blood samples were obtained from pregnant women, in which prenatal cytogenetic analysis revealed various fetal aneuploidies. Using FISH with DNA probes specific for chromosomes X, 18, and 13/21, Fetal cells with chromosomal aberrations were detected in these six maternal blood samples at a concentration from 1.5 to 5.6% (on average 3.7%). These results indicate the possibility of a new noninvasive approach, which is safe for both mother and fetus when used for isolation of fetal cells from pregnant women's blood samples and prenatal diagnosis of a broad spectrum of fetal cell chromosomal aberrations.  相似文献

In rat brain cortex, haloperidol initiates the long-term potentiation of K(+)-induced Ca(2+)-dependent noradrenaline (NA) and dopamine (DA) secretion in vitro and in vivo. In both cases, the long-term potentiation is caused by the long-term increase in catecholamine content in the NA and DA terminals, as it has been shown in cortical tangential slices. Acute intraperitoneal haloperidol injection (2.5 mg/kg) evokes catalepsy and increases the content of NA and DA in the brain structures with localization of catecholamine receptors on terminals. This increase appears to be caused, predominantly, by modification of the terminal DA receptors, since only a trend to catecholamine increase is observed in the brain structures with a mixed type of NA and DA receptor localization (on somata and terminals). It is suggested that the long-term and diffuse action of haloperidol after its acute administration consists in the anxiogenic reaction and consolidation of catalepsy without an additional procedure of training and in the absence of unconditioned stimulus.  相似文献

It was established that dalarginum injection before ARI (acute renal insufficiency) formation prevented an increases of proteolysis, decrease of SOD (superoxide dismutase), increase of NO2-/NO3- content in kidney tissue. Antioxidant effect of opiate receptor agonist was completely abolished by preliminary injection of OR antagonist--naloxone. Aminoguanidine nitrate (inducible NO-synthase inhibitor) injection removed positive effect of OR stimulation too. Thus OR stimulation increases kidney oxidative stress resistance due to NO-synthase and SOD activation.  相似文献
