Removal of chlorophenols from aquatic systems using the dried and dead fungus Pleurotus sajor caju 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
In this study, the potential use of the fungus Pleurotus sajor caju to remove phenols (i.e., phenol, o-chlorophenol, p-chlorophenol and 2,4,6-trichlorophenol) from aqueous solutions was evaluated. Biosorption of phenol or chlorophenols reached equilibrium in 4 h. The maximum adsorptions of phenol and chlorophenols onto the Pleurotus sajor caju were 0.95 mmol/g for phenol, 1.24 mmol/g for o-chlorophenol, 1.47 mmol/g for p-chlorophenol and 1.89 mmol/g for 2,4,6-trichlorophenol. The affinity order was as follows: 2,4,6-trichlorophenol> p-chlorophenol> o-chlorophenol>phenol. Phenol and chlorophenols bindings onto Pleurotus sajor caju were clearly pH dependent. The adsorption of phenol and chlorophenols increased with increasing pH. Desorption was achieved using methanol solution (30%, v/v). Pleurotus sajor caju biomass is suitable for reuse for more than five cycles without noticeable loss of adsorption capacity. 相似文献

Background
Cutaneous horns (cornu cutaneum) are uncommon lesions consisting of keratotic material resembling that of an animal horn. Cutaneous horn may arise from a wide range of the epidermal lesions, which may be benign, premalignant or malignant. 相似文献24.

There has been no study on the chitin structure of wasp species. Here, we selected the three most common wasp species belonging to the family Vespidae for chitin extraction and characterization. Chitin was isolated from each wasp species and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X‐ray diffractometry (XRD), elemental analysis (EA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The chitin contents of Vespa crabro, Vespa orientalis, and Vespula germanica were 8.3, 6.4, and 11.9%, respectively. The crystalline index (CrI) values for the chitin extracted from each species were 69.88, 53.92, and 50%, respectively. The most important finding of the study is that although the same method was used to extract chitin from each of the three wasp species, the degree of acetylation was different: for V. crabro and V. orientalis it was 96.85 and 99.82% (the chitin was extremely pure), respectively, whereas that for V. germanica the chitin was 79.83%. 相似文献

The chemical composition of the essential oils of Eryngium campestre, E. thorifolium, and E. creticum (Apiaceae), growing in the Aegean region of Turkey (Mount Sandras, Denizli), was determined by direct thermal desorption (DTD)-GC/MS analyses. A total of 49 components were identified in the oils, α-pinene and hexanal being the major compounds. The three essential oils were also tested for their inhibitory activity of nine different methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains by the agar disc diffusion method. The anti-MRSA activity of E. thorifolium oil, the most active of the three oils, was comparable with those of the reference antibiotic vancomycin and oregano oil, although somewhat lower. 相似文献

The arylamine N-acetyltransferases (NATs) are a unique family of enzymes that catalyse the transfer of an acetyl group from acetyl-CoA to the terminal nitrogen of hydrazine and arylamine drugs and carcinogens. Human arylamine NATs are known to exist as two isoenzymes, NAT1 and NAT2. The objective of this study was to identify whether the genetic polymorphism of NAT2 plays a role in susceptibility to Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Ninety-seven patients with DM and 104 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. NAT2*5A, NAT2*6A, NAT2*7A/B and NAT2*14A polymorphisms were detected by using real time PCR with LightCycler (Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Mannheim, Germany). According to our data, the NAT2*5A and NAT2*6A mutant genotypes and NAT2*14A heterozygous genotype were associated with an increased risk of development of DM (OR = 47.06; 95%CI: 10.55-209.77 for NAT 2*5A, OR = 18.48; 95%CI: 3.83-89.11 for NAT2*6A and OR = 18.22; 95%CI: 6.29-52.76 for NAT2*14A). However, the NAT2*7A/B gene polymorphism carried no increased risk for developing DM disease. After grouping according to phenotypes as either slow or fast acetylators, NAT2*6A slow acetylator was found to be a significant risk factor for DM (OR = 6.09; 95%CI: 1.99-18.6, p = 0.02). The results indicate that NAT2 slow acetylator genotypes may be an important genetic determinant for DM in the Turkish population. 相似文献

Pyrimethamine is an antimalarial agent widely used in clinical therapy. We aimed to compare its mutagenic potential in mammalian spermatogonial and bone marrow cells. For studying chromosomal aberrations mice were treated acutely (single treatment) with 4 dose levels of pyrimethamine (5, 10, 20 and 40 mg/kg). Pyrimethamine was found to produce a significant increase in structural chromosomal aberrations after acute treatment in bone marrow cells of mice (p < 0.001). It also induced chromosome abnormalities in spermatogonial cells (p < 0.05) at the highest dose. 相似文献

The primary structures of a CXC chemokine (CXCL8) and two CXC receptors (CXCR) have been characterized in fugu, Takifugu rubripes. Unlike mammalian and avian species, CXCL8 of teleosts including fugu lacks the ELR motif that appears to be important in ligand/receptor interactions on neutrophils. Genomic organization shows that fugu CXCL8 gene consists of four exons and three introns. As in other vertebrates, two CXCR genes isolated from fugu encode proteins CXCR1 and CXCR2 that possess characteristic seven transmembrane domains. Each receptor consists of two exons separated by an intron. Synteny analysis indicates that these two CXCRs were derived from whole genome duplication in teleosts, differing from mammalian CXCR1 and CXCR2. All of these genes are primarily expressed in the lymphoid tissues. Immune stimulation with PHA showed that the expression of both CXCL8 and CXCRs in PBL are upregulated even after only a short time period, but downregulated by LPS stimulation, implying that these genes are involved in the regulation of the immune response in fugu. 相似文献
