Crocus antalyensis subsp. striatus subsp. nov. (Iridaceae) from southwest Anatolia

A new subspecies Crocus antalyensis subsp. striatus subsp. nov. from western Turkey is described. It is characterized by rough papery, light brown corm tunics, leaves that exceed the flower at anthesis and are recurved, distinctly striped inner perianth segments and deeply branched pale yellow or white style. The karyotype of the new subspecies is presented.     

Knightia sp. undCtenopharyngodon hermi n. sp. (vertebrata,pisces), zwei neue fische aus dem tertiär von edirne,Thrakien (Türkei)

Two bony fishes from Late Tertiary sediments of Edirne-Süloçlu (Thrakia, Turkey) are described. They belong to the generaKnightia andCtenopharyngodon, both of which are not known from Europe till now:Knightia sp. from finely laminated marl of Sarmatian-Pannonian age at Eskikadin Köyü near Süloçlu andCtenopharyngodon hermi n.sp. from the Pannonian Congeria limestone near Edirne. Knightia has been described only from Paleocene and Eocene deposits of North America, whileCtenopharyngodon was known only from the Recent of Eastern Asia (China).
