number and perispore of this species and those ofAsplenium sect.Hymenasplenium. Asplenium cardiophyllum conforms with sect.Hymenasplenium in its dorsiventral dictyostele, the presence of raphides, a chromosome number of 2n=156 (x=39), and lophate peristore with
spinulate projections on the lumina. We therefore propose to includeA. cardiophyllum in that section.

HPLC resolution of diacylglycerol moieties of natural triacylglycerols on a chiral phase consisting of bonded (R)-(+)-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Chiral phase high performance liquid chromatographic resolution of sn-1,2(2,3)- and X-1,3-diacylglycerols generated by partial Grignard degradation from natural triacylglycerols was carried out using a chiral column (25 cm x 4.6 mm i.d.) containing (R)-(+)-1-(1-napthyl)ethylamine polymer chemically bonded to 300A wide pore spherical silica (5 microns particles). The diacylglycerols were chromatographed as 3,5-dinitrophenyl-urethanes and detected at 226 or 254 nm UV. By an isocratic elution with n-hexane- 1,2-dichloroethane-ethanol 40:10:1 (v/v/v) as the mobile phase, the sn-1,2(2,3)-diacylglycerols from corn, linseed, and menhaden oils were resolved into two clearly distinguishable enantiomer groups, although some peak overlappings between the enantiomers were observed in the linseed and menhaden oil diacylglycerols. In addition to the excellent enantiomer resolution, each enantiomer and the X-1,3-isomers were partially resolved into several peaks, which could be tentatively identified on the basis of equivalent carbon number. It is concluded that chiral phase high performance liquid chromatography can be utilized for effective resolution, identification, and quantitation of enantiomeric diacylglycerols from complex natural mixtures. 相似文献

A cytotaxonomic study was made of 90 fern species of Yunnan, southwestern China, based on collections from northwestern, central, and southwestern Yunnan and a few Cheng's collections. The results verified most of the formerly reported basic chromosome numbers of Chinese genera, and recorded for the first time the basic numbers ofGymnogrammitis andSorolepidium and Chinese members of several other genera. Cytotaxonomy of some problematical genera was discussed. Biogeographical relationships between Japanese, Chinese, and Himalayan ferns were compared with special reference to local cyto-reproductive variations inConiogramme, Deparia, Onychium, andPteris cretica. The present evidence indicates that most triploid species examined are agamosporous, as general in filicalean ferns, and also suggests the sexual 32-spored sporogenesis inHypodematium crenatum andSorolepidium graciale as in Lindsaeaceae. 相似文献

The role of arginine vasopressin (AVP) in blood pressure regulation in humans and animals is still controversial. The present study was designed to investigate the effects of AVP on blood pressure and the excretion of sodium and prostaglandin (PG) E2 in rabbits. AVP dissolved in 0.01 M acetic acid was infused subcutaneously at a rate of 0.86 ng/kg/min with a miniosmotic pump into 12 New Zealand white rabbits (2.7-3.4 kg), while 10 controls were given vehicle alone. AVP infusion resulted in a 3.5-fold rise in the level of plasma AVP (21.8 +/- 4.4 (SEM) pg/ml) as compared with controls, associated with a significant decrease in the urine volume and urinary excretion of sodium. The PGE2 excretion was increased 1.8-fold after AVP infusion. In the chronic AVP-infused group, blood pressure was not significantly increased, but the acute vascular response to AVP was significantly attenuated without any changes in the vasopressor response to angiotensin II. Preadministration of V1-antagonist completely abolished the vasopressor action of AVP, but not that of angiotensin II, in either group. These results suggest that circulating AVP within physiological range of concentrations may stimulate renal PGE2 synthesis and attenuate the vascular response through vascular V1 receptors without affecting the baroreflex, which may be attenuated through V2 receptors. 相似文献

During the metamorphosis of the silkworm, Bombyx mori, three major hemolymph proteins (MHPs) (molecular weights 17,000, 25,000, 27,000) were detected and found to be distributed in the hemolymph and in the tissues of several organs, such as the fat body, midgut, ovary, testis, and even eggs. The MHPs in eggs gradually decreased and disappeared during embryogenesis. The formation, distribution, and utilization of MHPs in tissues other than the gonad, however, were not affected by sex. Radioisotope experiments in vivo revealed that the MHPs were synthesized at an early period of the fifth larval instar. The synthesis of at least two of them occurred in the fat body. MHPs in the hemolymph entered the tissues at the onset of the larval-pupal transformation. On the basis of their appearance, distribution, and depletion, the MHPs may be classified as reserve proteins which are synthesized in the larval stage and utilized later in the developmental stages. 相似文献

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are seven-transmembrane domain receptors that interact with the β-arrestin family, particularly β-arrestin 1 (ARRB1). GPCRs interact with 33% of small molecule drugs. Ligand screening is promising for drug discovery concerning GPCR-related diseases. Luciferase complementation assay (LCA) enables detection of protein–protein complementation via bioluminescence following complementation of N- and C-terminal luciferase fragments (NEluc and CEluc) fused to target proteins, but it is necessary to co-express the two genes. Here, we developed LCAs with mouse artificial chromosomes (MACs) that have unique characteristics such as stable maintenance and a substantial insert-carrying capacity. First, an NEluc-ARRB1 was inserted into MAC4 by Cre-loxP recombination in CHO cells, named ARRB1-MAC4. Second, a parathyroid hormone receptor 2 (PTHR2)-CEluc or prostaglandin EP4 receptor (hEP4)-CEluc were inserted into ARRB1-MAC4, named ARRB1-PTHR2-MAC4 and ARRB1-hEP4-MAC4, respectively, via the sequential integration of multiple vectors (SIM) system. Each MAC was transferred into HEK293 cells by microcell-mediated chromosome transfer (MMCT). LCAs using the established HEK293 cell lines resulted in 35,000 photon counts upon somatostatin stimulation for ARRB1-MAC4 with transient transfection of the somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2) expression vector, 1800 photon counts upon parathyroid hormone stimulation for ARRB1-PTHR2-MAC4, and 35,000 photon counts upon prostaglandin E2 stimulation for ARRB1-hEP4-MAC4. These MACs were maintained independently from host chromosomes in CHO and HEK293 cells. HEK293 cells containing ARRB1-PTHR2-MAC4 showed a stable reaction for long-term. Thus, the combination of gene loading by the SIM system into a MAC and an LCA targeting GPCRs provides a novel and useful platform to discover drugs for GPCR-related diseases. 相似文献

Although chronic ethanol treatment is known to impair learning and memory, humans commonly consume a range of alcoholic beverages. However, the specific effects of some alcoholic beverages on behavioral performance are largely unknown. The present study compared the effects of a range of alcoholic beverages (plain ethanol solution, red wine, sake and whiskey; with a matched alcohol concentration of 10%) on learning and memory. 6-week-old C57BL6J mice were orally administered alcohol for 7 weeks. The results revealed that red wine treatment exhibited a trend toward improvement of spatial memory and advanced extinction of fear memory. Additionally, red wine treatment significantly increased mRNA levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors in mice hippocampus. These results support previous reports that red wine has beneficial effects. 相似文献

Summary A kanamycin-resistant plasmid possessing a thermostable replicon derived from Bacillus stearothermophilus cryptic plasmid pSTK1 was constructed. The plasmid could transform not only B. stearothermophilus and Bacillus subtilis, but also Gram-negative Escherichia coli. The behavior of the plasmid in the hosts was examined. The plasmid was stably maintained even at 67°C in B. stearothermophilus without selective pressure. During the plasmid replication, single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) intermediates were found in E. coli, while these were not found in B. subtilis. 相似文献
