Risk assessment is part of the risk analysis process as it is used in veterinary medicine to estimate risks related to international trade and food safety. Data from monitoring and surveillance systems (MO&SS) are used throughout the risk assessment process for hazard identification, release assessment, exposure assessment and consequence assessment. As the quality of risk assessments depends to a large extent on the availability and quality of input data, there is a close relationship between MO&SS and risk assessment. In order to improve the quality of risk assessments, MO&SS should be designed according to minimum quality standards. Second, recent scientific developments on state-of-the-art design and analysis of surveys need to be translated into field applications and legislation. Finally, knowledge about the risk assessment process among MO&SS planners and managers should be promoted in order to assure high-quality data. 相似文献
Some P-450 systems, notably aromatase and 14-demethylase catalyse not only the hydroxylate reaction but also the oxidation of an alcohol into a carbonyl compound as well as a C---C bond cleavage process. All these reactions occur at the same active site. A somewhat analogous situation is noted with 17-hydroxylase-17,20-lyase that participates in hydroxylation as well as C---C bond cleavage process. The C---C bond cleavage reactions catalysed by the above enzymes conform to the general equation:
It is argued that all three types of reaction catalyzed by these enzymes may be viewed as variations on a common theme. In P-450 dependent hydroxylation the initially formed FeIII---O---O. species is converted into FeIII---O---OH and the heterolysis of the oxygen—oxygen bond of the latter then gives the oxo-derivative for which a number of canonical structures are possible; for example FeV = O ↔ (+.)FeIV = O ↔ FeIV---O.. One of these, FeIV---O. behaves like an alkoxyl radical and participates in hydrogen abstraction from C---H bond to produce FeIV---OH and carbon radical. The latter is then quenched by the delivery of hydroxyl radical from FeIV---OH. The latter species may thus be regarded as a carrier of hydroxyl radical. We have proposed that the C---C bond cleavage reaction occurs through the participation of the FeIII---O---OH species that is trapped by the electrophilic property of the carbonyl compound giving a peroxide adduct that fragments to produce an acyl—carbon cleavage. Scientific developments leading up to this conclusion are considered. In the first author's views,
“The study of mechanisms is not a scientific but a cultural activity. Mechanisms do not aim at an absolute truth but are intended to be a “running” commentary on the status of knowledge in a field. As the structural knowledge in a field advances Mechanisms evolve to take note of the new findings. Just as a constructive “running” commentary provides the stimulus for higher standards of performance, so Mechanisms call for better and firmer structural information from their practitioners”. 相似文献
Now is the time to refocus efforts in urban research and design. A changing climate and extreme weather events are presenting unique challenges to urban systems around the world. These challenges illuminate the social barriers that accompany disruptive events such as resource inequities and injustices. In this perspective, we provide three research priorities for just and sustainable urban systems that help to address these matters. The three research priorities are: (1) social equity and justice, (2) circularity, and (3) digital twins. Conceptual context and future research directions are provided for each. For social equity and justice, the future directions are mandatory equity analysis and inclusionary practices, understanding and reconciling historical injustices, and intentional integration with diverse community stakeholders. For circularity applications, they are better metrics for integration, more robust evaluation frameworks, and dynamic modeling at multiple spatial and temporal scales. Future directions for digital twins include developing principles to reduce complexity, integrating model and system components, and reducing barriers to data access. These research priorities are core to meeting several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (i.e., 1—No Poverty, 8—Decent Work and Economic Growth, 10—Reduced Inequalities, and 11—Sustainable Cities and Communities). Useful social and technical matters are discussed throughout, where we highlight the importance of prioritizing localized research efforts, provide guidance for community-engaged research and co-development practices, and explain how these priorities interact to align with the evolving field of industrial ecology. 相似文献
(Z)-3-hexen-1-yl esters are important green top-note components of food flavors and fragrances. Effects of various process conditions on (Z)-3-hexen-1-yl caproate synthesis employing germinated rapeseed lipase acetone powder in organic solvent were investigated. Rapeseed lipase catalyzed ester formation more efficiently with non-polar compared to polar solvents despite high enzyme stability in both types of solvents. Maximum ester yield (90%) was obtained when 0.125 M (Z)-3-hexen-1-ol and caproic acid were reacted at 25 °C for 48 h in the presence of 50 g/L enzyme in heptane. Enzyme showed little sensitivity towards aw with optimum yield at 0.45, while added water did not affect ester yield. Esterification reduced by increasing molecular sieves (>0.0125%, w/v). The highest yields of caproic acid were obtained with isoamyl alcohol (93%) followed by butanol and (Z)-3-hexen-1-o1 (88%) respectively reflecting the enzyme specificity for straight and branched chain alcohols. Secondary alcohols showed low reactivity, while tertiary alcohol had either very low reactivity or not esterified at all. A good relationship has been found between ester synthesis and the solvent polarity (log P value); while no correlation for the effect of solvents on residual enzyme activity was observed. It may be concluded that germinated rapeseed lipase is a promising biocatalyst for the synthesis of valuable green flavor note compound. The enzyme also showed a wide range of temperature stability (5–50 °C). 相似文献
Computational tools occupy the prime position in the analysis of large volume of post-genomic data. These tools have advantage
over the wet lab experiments in terms of high coverage, cost and time. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in females
worldwide. It is a genetically heterogeneous disorder and many genes are involved in the pathway of the disease. Mutations in
metastasis suppressor gene are the major cause of the disease. In this study, the effects of mutations in breast cancer metastasis
