The emergence of numerous genome projects has made the experimental classification of the protein localization almost impossible due to the exponential increase in the number of protein samples. However, most of the applications are merely developed for single-plex and completely ignored the presence of one protein at two or more locations in a cell. In this regard, few attempts were carried out to target Multi-label protein localizations; consequently, undesirable accuracies are achieved. This paper presents a novel approach, in which a discrete feature extraction method is fused with physicochemical properties of amino acids by using Chou's general form of Pseudo Amino Acid Composition. The technique is tested on two benchmark datasets namely: Gpos-mploc and Virus-mPLoc. The empirical results demonstrated that the proposed method yields better results via two examined classifiers i.e. ML-KNN and Rank-SVM. It is established that the proposed model has improved values in all performance measures considered for the comparison. 相似文献
The phytotoxic effects of two allelochemicals (trans-cinnamic acid and syringaldehyde) at different concentrations (1000, 100, 10, and 1 µM) on seed germination, seedling growth, and physiological and biochemical changes of Echinochloa crus-galli L. were tested by comparison to a commercial herbicide ‘Nominee’ (that is, 100 g/L bispyribac-sodium). trans-Cinnamic acid and the herbicide inhibited seed germination completely at 100 µM, whereas for syringaldehyde, complete inhibition required 1000 µM. However, with 100 µM syringaldehyde, the seed germination of the test species was 53% of the control. Allelochemicals and the herbicide delayed seed germination and significantly affected the speed of germination index (S), speed of cumulative germination index (AS), and coefficient of germination rate (CRG). The roots were more affected when nutrients were not added to the growth bioassay. In general, with the increasing concentration of allelochemicals from 100 to 1000 µM, the inhibitory effects increased. Via microscopy analysis, we found leaf blade wilting and necrosis at concentrations above 100 µM in allelochemical-treated plants. Roots of E. crus-galli treated with 1000 µM allelochemicals had black points on root nodes but had no root hairs. The anatomy of roots treated with allelochemicals (1000 µM) showed contraction or reduction of root pith cells as well as fewer and larger vacuoles compared to the control. The allelochemicals also showed remarkable effects on seedling growth, SPAD index, chlorophyll content, and free proline content in a pot culture bioassay, indicating that trans-cinnamic acid and syringaldehyde are potent inhibitors of E. crus-galli growth and can be developed as herbicides for future weed management strategies.

The benefits associated with resveratrol (Resv; 3,4′,5-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) are known for a long time. The therapeutic properties of Resv are observed in diseases like cancer, neurological disorders, atherosclerosis, aging, inflammation, etc. Multiple studies suggest that the beneficial properties of Resv are due to its binding to targets in multiple pathways. The same has been reflected in inflammation, where Resv has been shown to inhibit nuclear factor κ light-chain enhancer of activated B cells in the toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) pathway. There are multiple cellular targets which bind to Resv, however the mode and the key interactions involved remain elusive for many of them. In the current work, we have investigated the structural insights of Resv with three of its binding partners involved in the inflammatory TLR4 signaling pathway. Through a structure-based modelling and molecular dynamics study, we have unraveled the molecular and atomic interactions involved in the Resv-binary complexes of inhibitor of κB kinase, cyclooxygeanse-2, and tank-binding kinase I, all three of which are key players in TLR4 inflammatory signaling. This study is the latest addition to the investigations of the structural partners of Resv and its molecular interactions. 相似文献
Eicosanoids are crucial downstream signals in the insect immune responses. Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) catalyzes phospholipids, the initial step in eicosanoid biosynthesis. In mammals, the biological roles of Ca2+-independent Phospholipase A2 (iPLA2) have been extensively studied; however, only a few studies have attempted to explore iPLA2 functions in insects. In this study, we identified two iPLA2 genes (designated as BmiPLA2A and BmiPLA2B) in the silkworm, Bombyx mori. BmiPLA2A had a 2427 base pair (bp) open reading frame (ORF) that coded for a protein with 808 amino acids. In contrast, BmiPLA2B had a 1731 bp ORF that coded for a protein with 576 amino acids. Domain analysis revealed that BmiPLA2A had six ankyrin repeat domains, but BmiPLA2B lacks these domains. BmiPLA2A and BmiPLA2B were transcribed widely in various tissues and developmental stages with different expression patterns. The administration of 20-hydroxyecdysone increased their expression levels in the epidermis and hemocytes. Furthermore, challenged with virus, fungus, Gram-negative bacteria, and Gram-positive bacteria induced the expression of BmiPLA2A and BmiPLA2B with variable degrees along with different time points. Our findings imply that BmiPLA2A and BmiPLA2B may have important biological roles in the development and innate immunity of B. mori. 相似文献
Biodiesel is considered as a potential alternative energy source, but problem exists with the quantity and quality of feedstock used for it. To improve the feedstock quality of biodiesel, a field experiment was conducted under natural conditions. Cultivar Thori of kasumbha was used in the experiment. Commercialized biofertilizers were applied at the rate of 20 kg per acre and chemical fertilizer (diammonium phosphate) was applied as half dose (15 kg/ha). Results indicated that number of leaf plant−1, leaf area, number of seeds capitulum−1 was significantly increased by biofertilizer treatment alone (BF) and combine treatment of biofertilizer and chemical fertilizer (BFCF). Agronomic traits such as plant height, no. of branches of a plant, no. of capitulum/plant was improved significantly by BF treatment over the control. Maximum 1000 seed weight (41%) and seed yield (23%) were recorded in half dose of chemical fertilizers treatment (CFH). Seed oil content and seed phenolics were significantly improved by BF and CF treatments while maximum biodiesel yield was recorded by BF treatment. Maximum oleic acid was recorded by BF treatment while other fatty acids being maximum in control except linoleic acid in BFCF treatment. Results for specific gravity were non-significant while acid value and free fatty acid contents were substantially reduced by BF treatment as compared to other treatments. Maximum value of iodine number was recorded in BFCF treatment while tocopherol contents were improved by BF treatment. It is inferred that biofertilizer treatment alone perform better as compared to other treatments and 50% chemical fertilizer can be replaced using biofertilizer which is a good approach for sustainable environmental-friendly agriculture.Keyword: Green energy, Biofuel, Biodiesel, Kasumbha, Biofertilizers, Fatty acid, NMR相似文献
