Ntann12, encoding a polypeptide homologous to annexins, was found previously to be induced upon infection of tobacco with the bacterium Rhodococcus fascians. In this study, Ntann12 is shown to bind negatively charged phospholipids in a Ca(2+)-dependent manner. In plants growing in light conditions, Ntann12 is principally expressed in roots and the corresponding protein was mainly immunolocalized in the nucleus. Ntann12 expression was inhibited following plant transfer to darkness and in plants lacking the aerial part. However, an auxin (indole-3-acetic acid) treatment restored the expression of Ntann12 in the root system in dark conditions. Conversely, polar auxin transport inhibitors such as 1-naphthylphthalamic acid (NPA) or 2,3,5-triiodobenzoic acid (TIBA) inhibited Ntann12 expression in light condition. These results indicate that the expression of Ntann12 in the root is linked to the perception of a signal in the aerial part of the plant that is transmitted to the root via polar auxin transport.  相似文献

An iron(III) porphyrin complex containing a bidentate carbonato axial ligand has been synthesized for the first time and fully characterized by UV-Vis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies and X-ray crystallography. Proton NMR data for the isolated species is in accordance with high-spin (S = 5/2) ferric derivative. The crystal structure of the (cryptand-222)potassium(+) (dihaptocarbonato)(α,α,α,α-terakis(o-pivalamidophenyl)(porphinato)ferrate(III) chlorobenzene has been determined. This structure confirms the high-spin-state of the carbonato derivative and shows that the coordination sphere of the iron atom is strongly affected by the asymmetric bidentate (η2) mode of the carbonato axial ligand.  相似文献

Two new iron(II) five-coordinated porphyrin complexes [Na(2,2,2-crypt)] [FeII(TpivPP)(NCO)] (1) (TpivPP = α,α,α,α-tetrakis(o-pivalamidophenyl) porphyrin known as picket fence porphyrin and 2,2,2-crypt is the cryptand-222) and [K(2,2,2-crypt)][FeII(TpivPP)(NCS)] (2) have been prepared and characterized. The UV-Vis and IR spectroscopic data are consistent with a cyanato-N and thiocyanato-N ferrous porphyrinates. The Mössbauer data and the X-ray structural analysis indicate that the Fe(II) cation in 1 and 2 is high-spin (S = 2) and has the (dxy)2(dxz)1(dyz)1(dz2)1(dx2-y2)1 ground state electronic configuration.For complex 1, the average equatorial iron-pyrrole N bond length (Fe-Np = 2.120(2) Å), the distance between the iron and the 24-atom mean plane of the porphyrin ring (Fe-PC = 0.6805(7) Å) and the distance between the iron and the plane made by the four pyrrole nitrogens (Fe-PN = 0.5923(12) Å) are longer than those of complex 2 and similar five-coordinated Fe(II) high-spin porphyrinates. This is probably due to the significant electronic repulsion of the dx2-y2 and dxy orbitals by the negative charge of the pyrrole N atoms in case of 1.  相似文献

The role of ethylene in shoot regeneration was investigated using transgenic Cucumis melo plants expressing an antisense 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) oxidase gene. ACC oxidase catalyses the last step of ethylene biosynthesis. Leaf and cotyledon explants from the transgenic plants exhibited low ACC oxidase activity and ethylene production, whereas the regeneration capacity of the tissues was greatly enhanced (3.5- and 2.8-fold, respectively) compared to untransformed control tissues. Addition of ethylene released by 50 or 100 μm 2-chloroethylphosphonic acid dramatically reduced the shoot regeneration rate of the transgenic tissues.
