Approximate formulas for the modeling of the interaction of fast alpha particles and suprathermal electrons with solid-state plasmas of the emitter films in a secondary-electron-emission radioisotope current source are derived. The approximate formulas are used to estimate the characteristic interaction parameters, in particular, the effective stopping power of the composite material of the emitter, the ranges of alpha particles, the optimum thickness of the emitter, and the maximum possible number of binary current cells. The results obtained can be used to optimize the parameters of a prototype model of such a source and to analyze its current-voltage characteristic. They can also be applied in Monte Carlo modeling of the generation of suprathermal electrons by fast ion fluxes in a solid-state plasma and ion flux-induced fast nonequilibrium secondary electron emission from metallic and dielectric films. 相似文献

Possible usage of ESR probe method for studying low temperature effect on structural and functional state of mitochondria is under study. Multimodal optical coherent tomography grows popularity with researchers and clinicians over the past decade. One of the modalities is lymphangiography, which allows visualization of the lymphatic vessel networks within optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging volume. In the present study, it is shown that lymphatic vessel visualization obtained from the depth-resolved attenuation coefficient distributions, corrected for the noise, shows improved contrast and detail in comparison with previously proposed approaches. We also argue that the two most popular approaches for lymphatic vessel visualization, namely simple intensity thresholding and vesselness calculation based on local Hessian matrix eigenvalues, imply different definitions of the lymphatic vessel's appearance in the OCT volume and lead to the different networks. 相似文献

The method of hydroxylapatite-mediated rapid and effective transfer of DNA onto nitrocellulose filters for following dot-hybridization was elaborated. The analysed DNA occurred initially in diluted and large volume solutions (from 1 to 10 ml) with various composition (2 M NaCl; 4 M LiCl--8 M urea; 4 M CsCl; 5 and 20% sucrose) was adsorbed on hydroxylapatite and quantitatively transferred onto nitrocellulose after hydroxylapatite solubilization in a small volume of acid (usually, 200 microliters of 10% TCA). As exemplified by the hybridization of total rat liver DNA with the plasmid ph22 DNA containing a cluster of sea urchin histone genes, the method presented appears to be not only simple and useful for handling multiple probes of diluted DNA solutions with high concentrations of salts, sucrose and urea but also more sensitive than some convenient DNA dot-hybridization methods. 相似文献

Allelic and genotypic distributions of the polymorphic markers C1167T and Pro197Leu of the genes of catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPX1), respectively, were studied in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) and hypertension without complications (the control group, n= 52) and with complications: myocardial infarction (MI, n= 53) or stroke (n= 50). No significant differences were found between complicated and uncomplicated patients with respect to the allelic or phenotypic distribution.
