The CYP2E1 gene polymorphism has been studied in Yakut women with ovarian cancer and without cancer. The two groups have been found to substantially differ in the frequency of the CYP2E1* 1D allele (with a 96-bp insertion in the promoter region of the gene): it is more frequent in healthy women (16.3 versus 7.4%, P = 0.007).  相似文献

New polydentate open structure ligands H3L1 and H3L2 were synthesized by the condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-tert-butylphenol and corresponding N-R-o-phenylenediamines (R = Ac and R = Boc). Treating of the ligands with copper trimethylacetate leads to binuclear copper complexes with dissimilar Cu2O2 cores, the structures of which were solved by X-ray diffraction analysis. The electrochemical properties of both complexes were studied; the observed redox transitions were assigned to specific redox-active sites of the molecule. These assignments were confirmed by DFT calculations of the electronic structure of binuclear complexes. Both complexes exhibit antiferromagnetic behaviour, as confirmed by variable-temperature magnetic studies.  相似文献

The dynamic of the parameters of lung ventilation and gas exchange have been studied in 10 young male subjects during involuntary stepping movements induced by transcutaneous spinal cord electrical stimulation applied in the projection of T 11T 12 vertebrae and during voluntary stepping movements. It has been found that the transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation inducing stepping movements leads to an increase in breathing frequency and a reduction in tidal volume. These effects may be mediated by some neurogenic factors associated with muscular activity during stepping movements, the activation of abdominal expiratory muscles, and the interaction between the stepping pattern and breathing generators.  相似文献

Mitochondria from the rat liver have been frozen down to -196 degrees C under protection of dimethylsulfoxide, after which they were subjected to periodical increase and decrease in temperature (cycling) in the ranges of -105 degrees C to -196 degrees C or -135 degrees to -196 degrees C. There have been observed some non-lethal damages of mitochondria which were revealed in the decrease in the respiratory control and in the ADP/O ratio after the cycling. The damage rate increased with the increase of the number of temperature decrease-increase cycles. The damages were also greater in the case when the upper limit of cycling temperature was higher than the glass transition temperature of the freezing medium (Tg = -126 degrees C). The non-lethal damages of mitochondria are explained by the influence of electric fields, appearing in the frozen sample during the temperature increase or decrease.  相似文献

Here, we describe high-resolution X-ray structures of Escherichia coli inorganic pyrophosphatase (E-PPase) complexed with the substrate, magnesium, or manganese pyrophosphate. The structures correspond to steps in the catalytic synthesis of enzyme-bound pyrophosphate (PP(i)) in the presence of fluoride as an inhibitor of hydrolysis. The catalytic reaction intermediates were trapped applying a new method that we developed for initiating hydrolytic activity in the E-PPase crystal. X-ray structures were obtained for three consecutive states of the enzyme in the course of hydrolysis. Comparative analysis of these structures showed that the Mn2+-supported hydrolysis of the phosphoanhydride bond is followed by a fast release of the leaving phosphate from the P1 site. The electrophilic phosphate P2 is trapped in the "down" conformation. Its movement into the "up" position most likely represents the rate-limiting step of Mn2+-supported hydrolysis. We further determined the crystal structure of the Arg43Gln mutant variant of E-PPase complexed with one phosphate and four Mn ions.  相似文献

A major problem of fossil hominid analysis is a lack of complete specimens. Many individual specimens have been damaged by the effects of diagenesis and excavation. Significant advances in the field of three dimensional image processing (3D) have enabled the creation of accurately scaled reconstructions of individual fossil bones using mirrored parts of the same fossil bone or human/fossil hominid equivalents. This study presents, for the first time, a method to reconstruct a 3D virtual model of the lower limb of the Neandertal using different bones from different fossil remains (Spy II, Neandertal 1 and Kebara 2) and integrating them into a single model of the Neandertal lower limb. A biomechanical analysis of the model was performed, including computer graphics visualization of the results, motion displacement graphs and muscle moment arms. The overall method has been implemented into an open-source customized software (lhpFusionBox) developed for the biomechanical study of the musculoskeletal system.  相似文献
