团花树中一个新的环烯醚萜苷（英文）

从茜草科团花属植物团花树（Neolamarckia cadamba）枝叶的甲醇提取物中分离得到两个环烯醚萜苷,其中一个为新的环烯醚萜苷,利用现代波谱学技术鉴定了其结构为Δ^13,14-plumieride,并命名为plumieride B.     

拟南芥CAX1转运体蛋白的跨膜拓扑结构预测

目的：对拟南芥的CAX1蛋白进行跨膜结构预测,构建CAX1的跨膜结构模型。方法：以生物信息学工具Signal 3.0、Conpred Ⅱ、TMHMM 2.0、HMMTOP、MEMSAT3、ConPred2分析拟南芥CAX1蛋白的一级序列。结果：模型显示CAX1共有10个跨膜区,分别为氨基酸残基73-93,128-147,163-185,198-219,236-256,286-307,322-344,357-379,387-407,414-432。结论：与现有的资料相印证,此模型可以作为CAX1功能研究的参考模型。     

FRESH-CUT ANNURCA APPLES: ACCEPTABILITY STUDY AND SHELF-LIFE DETERMINATION

To establish the likelihood of purchase and acceptability level of new fresh-cut apples, the responses of two categories of consumers, children and adults, were evaluated. The effect of storage time on acceptability was investigated and the shelf life of fresh-cut apples was determined by using a Weibull hazard model.
The samples were distributed at different storage time (from second to fifth day) at the Science Museum of Naples as part of an educational program for children to evaluate the likelihood of buying and the acceptability level of the product. The data were collected over 5 weeks, and the test was performed in 2,421 children and 224 adults. The product was distributed at the University of Naples at different storage time (time 0 to 10 days) to perform the Weibull test using 63 consumers.
The adults and children appreciated the product, and the adults were generally willing to buy it. The Weibull analysis proved an appropriate method to evaluate product shelf life, which was estimated at 7.5 days at 4C.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

This study contributes to enhance the competitiveness of a traditional food as Protected Geographical Indication Annurca apples. In fact, an attractive way to improve the consumption of this variety of apple is to market it as a ready-to-eat product. Also, the research allows for a better understanding of the children's acceptability level of new fresh-cut apples in order to improve the intake of apples among primary schoolchildren. In fact, an interesting way to increase the children's consumption of fruit is to distribute it at school level and also to increase the convenience for children. Finally, the fact that the product was distributed to the Science Museum of Naples can be considered as a premarket test for a new product launch.     

Eight polymorphic microsatellite loci for the critically endangered crested ibis,Nipponia nippon (Ciconiiformes: Threskiornithidae)

The Chinese crested ibis, Nipponia nippon, is a critically endangered bird. The current population of this species has developed from four wild individuals rediscovered in 1981. Given its conservation status, there is considerable interest in assessing the genetic diversity and individual relatedness in this species. For this purpose, a set of eight polymorphic di‐ or trinucleotide microsatellite loci was developed for the crested ibis. The expected heterozygosity at these loci ranges from 0.01 to 0.50, with less than four alleles being observed at individual loci, a reflection of the serious population bottleneck experienced by this species.     

Substituted aminophenols and flavonoids as potential components for test-systems for total antioxidant activity

Kinetics of ortho-phenylenediamine (PDA) oxidation has been investigated in the “pseudoperoxidase” system, Methemalbumin-H₂O₂, in the presence of 2-amino-4-tert-butylphenol (ATBP), 2-amino-4,6-ditert-butylphenol (ADTBP) and its four N-acyl derivates, as well as flavonoids (quercetin, morin, silibin, hesperidin and naringin). Under standard experimental conditions (20°C, phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 5.25% ethanol and DMF) ATBP, ADTBP and two its N-acyl-derivatives and also all five flavonoids inhibited PDA oxidation with different efficiency, which was characterized in terms of the inhibition constants, K_i, M, or the percent of inhibition degree at the maximal concentrations of these inhibitors. Quercetin (K_i = 7.7 × 10^?5 M) and ATBP (K_i = 1.26 × 10^?4 M) were the most effective antioxidants. Using these characteristics and other required criteria, the pairs PDA-quercetin and PDA-ATBP were proposed for a practical application in the test-systems for evaluation of total antioxidant activity of biological objects.     

家蚕胚胎期重力相关基因的抑制消减杂交分析

目的：筛选家蚕胚胎期重力相关基因。方法：对模拟失重与正常重力条件下的家蚕胚胎cDNA进行抑制消减杂交（Suppression subtractive hybridization,SSH）,并对模拟失重过程中家蚕胚胎期表达发生变化的基因进行克隆、测序及同源性分析。结果：获得了34个与重力有关的序列标签。在模拟失重条件下有16个基因表达上调,其中15个为未知基因,1个为已知基因,其作用是维持mRNA的稳定性。在模拟失重条件下有18个基因表达下调,其中4个为未知基因,6个为蛋白合成相关基因,3个为基因组contig基因,5个为家蚕est库中功能未知基因。结论：模拟失重环境影响了家蚕胚胎发育期与mRNA稳定性和蛋白质合成相关基因的表达。
