Restriction fragment length polymorphism in rDNA repeat unit for eight restriction endonucleases was studied in two genotypes of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.). Both genotypes contained restriction sites for EcoRI, EcoRV, PvuII and Sau3239I in rDNA repeat unit and contained two different rDNA repeat unit length variants 9.7 kbp and 9.1 kbp.  相似文献

The investigation of phosphorus absorption by intact plants during a short period has above all confirmed the validity of the results obtained in the foregoing study of the kinetics of absorption by excised roots. Further, the results show the unquestionably important role of mass flow in transporting ions to plant roots, mainly at lower and medium concentrations, that is, from about 0.1 to 10 mM. Under conditions of growth close to the optimum, the supply by means of mass flow can be sufficient even at lower concentrations of phosphorus, such as 1.47 mM KH2PO4, or the absorption of phosphorus by plants can be higher than in the case of ions being transported to roots by diffusion. With a higher absorption the phosphorus distribution somewhat changes as well, relatively more of it being accumulated in the roots. 2.4-DNP applied to the nutrient solution at a concentration of 10-5 M reduces the phosphorus absorption.  相似文献

Summary A translocation between two homologues of chromosomes 15 was identified in a phenotypically normal female with the R-banding technique. The C-banding technique demonstrated an abnormally large band on the translocation chromosome. This finding suggests a possibility that the translocation might be due to breaks in the short arms or to fusion at telomeric ends. The patient had four spontaneous abortions and no normal pregnancy.  相似文献

Synchronisation has become one of the major scientific tools to explain biological order at many levels of organisation. In systems neuroscience, synchronised subthreshold and suprathreshold oscillatory neuronal activity within and between distributed neuronal assemblies is acknowledged as a fundamental mode of neuronal information processing. Coherent neuronal oscillations correlate with all basic cognitive functions, mediate local and long-range neuronal communication and affect synaptic plasticity. However, it remains unclear how the very fast and complex changes of functional neuronal connectivity necessary for cognition, as mediated by dynamic patterns of neuronal synchrony, could be explained exclusively based on the well-established synaptic mechanisms. A growing body of research indicates that the intraneuronal matrix, composed of cytoskeletal elements and their binding proteins, structurally and functionally connects the synapses within a neuron, modulates neurotransmission and memory consolidation, and is hypothesised to be involved in signal integration via electric signalling due to its charged surface. Theoretical modelling, as well as emerging experimental evidence indicate that neuronal cytoskeleton supports highly cooperative energy transport and information processing based on molecular coherence. We suggest that long-range coherent dynamics within the intra- and extracellular filamentous matrices could establish dynamic ordered states, capable of rapid modulations of functional neuronal connectivity via their interactions with neuronal membranes and synapses. Coherence may thus represent a common denominator of neurophysiological and biophysical approaches to brain information processing, operating at multiple levels of neuronal organisation, from which cognition may emerge as its cardinal manifestation.  相似文献

The 2′(3′)-O-l-phenylalanyl-N2,5′-anhydroformycin (1c) and 2′(3′)-O-l-phenylalanyl-N4,5′-anhydroformycin (2c), obtained by chemical synthesis, are substrates for ribosomal peptidyltransferase from Escherichia coli. Nucleoside 1c, which mimics an anti conformation of antibiotic formycin, has 80% of the acceptor activity of puromycin at 5 · 10?4 M determined by the release of N-Ac-Phe residue from the 70 S ribosome-poly(U)-N-Ac-[14C]Phe-tRNA complex. The reaction product, 2′(3′)-O-(N-acetyl)-l-phenylalanyl-l-phenylalanyl-N2,5′-anhydroformycin (1d), was characterized by paper electrophoresis before and after alkaline hydrolysis. By contrast, nucleoside 2c, which resembles a syn conformation of formycin, exhibited only 20% of the acceptor activity of puromycin at 5 · 10∮4 M and essentially none in the concentration region between 1 · 10?6 and 1 · 10?4 M. The results which are in accord with previous models have shown that a substrate with its base in an anti conformation is preferable for the acceptor site of peptidyltransferase than the corresponding syn counterpart, Nevertheless, it is possible that an intermediate conformation, for example, high anti (amphi-minus), is an optimal arrangement for acceptor site substrates.  相似文献
