Multiplex polymerase chain reaction was carried out with the material from 68 patients suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy in Moscow and Leningrad clinics. Six pairs of oligoprimers were used. Deletions were detected in the material from 22 patients. A new type of deletion was found. Data on deletion frequencies and spectrum were compared with the results published by other authors. 相似文献

The structure of the spike train coding the nociceptive signal was investigated by a cross-correlation method. The action of nociceptive solutions of potassium chloride (125–1000 mM) on the saphenous nerve caused excitation of both myelinated and nonmyelinated fibers. The density of the spike train increased during the action of the stimulus up to a threshold sufficient for the appearance of nociceptive reflexes. The maximum of these reflexes coincided with the appearance of synchronous pulsations of discharges in the group of unmyelinated fibers. The nociceptive signal evoked by direct action of highly concentrated potassium chloride solutions on the nerve is thus coded by a high density of the spike train generated by the nerve fibers. In the genome of unisexual (parthenogenetic) lizard Darevskia armeniaca, highly variable locus Du161 (arm) was discovered. Analysis of allelic polymorphism was carried out using locus-specific PCR of the lizard DNA specimens from
13 isolated Armenian populations (N = 138). In the sample examined, a total of 12 Du161(arm) alleles were identified, and their differences at the level of primary DNA structure were determined. Sequence analysis of
the Du161(arm) alleles showed that their microsatellite clusters contained repeats of one type (GATA repeats). Allelic Du161(arm) variants differed in the number of GATA monomers in microsatellite, point mutations of transition and transversion types,
located at fixed distances from micro-satellite cluster, and by single nucleotide insertions, as well as by longer insertions
located within and outside of the microsatellite cluster. Moreover, point mutations formed different combinations (haplotypes),
typical of certain alleles. These combinations can be used for the analysis of the origin and inheritance of these alleles

We investigated the ability of latrotoxin-like protein for ATP hydrolysis. It was shown that latrotoxin-like protein possesses ATPase activity, which increases with shift of pH toward alkaline values. A comparison of the enzymatic activity of latrotoxin-like protein at different pH values showed that the kinetic parameters of ATP hydrolysis depend on pH of the incubation medium. It is suggested that the characteristics of latrotoxin-like protein are similar to those of proteins from the AAA-ATPase family, which mediate fusion of cell membranes. 相似文献

Highly purified protein preparations promoting TTX-dependent sodium permeability in the liposomal membrane were separated from the cytoplasmic fraction of bovine brain tissue. The protein was purified using anion-exchange and separation chromatography and gel filtration. The separated protein was found to be a high-molecular acidic glycoprotein forming 55 kD subunits during denaturation under reducing conditions.
