We analyse the current situation of the Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) in the region of Galicia in NW Spain. At present, the entire Galician population (five pairs) is located within an area
of about 2000 km2 in the province of Ourense. To identify high-priority areas for golden eagle conservation, we derived predictive models of
habitat suitability using logistic regression and a Geographic Information System (GIS). Specifically, to model the distribution
of the breeding population we considered topographic features, land use and degree of humanization, using a 10 × 10 km grid.
Presence/absence of golden eagle nests was used as the dependent variable; analyses were performed both considering current
nesting areas and considering old nesting areas (1960s and 70s). At the spatial scale considered, the best predictors of habitat
suitability for breeding were topographical variables indicative of rugged relief. For current nesting areas the most parsimonious
model included maximum altitude. We consider that the predictive models obtained may be of use for the monitoring and conservation
management of the golden eagle population in this region. Conservation problems associated with habitat constraints such as
food supply, availability of nesting sites, changes in land use and human disturbance are discussed. 相似文献

Models for the development of species distribution in Europe typically invoke restriction in three temperate Mediterranean refugia during glaciations, from where recolonization of central and northern Europe occurred. The brown bear, Ursus arctos, is one of the taxa from which this model is derived. Sequence data generated from brown bear fossils show a complex phylogeographical history for western European populations. Long-term isolation in separate refugia is not required to explain our data when considering the palaeontological distribution of brown bears. We propose continuous gene flow across southern Europe, from which brown bear populations expanded after the last glaciation. 相似文献

We have analysed the mycobiota of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera, L.) leaves using several techniques. Profusely sporulating fungi (Penicillium spp. and Cladosporium spp.) developed when plating leaf fragments and leaf washings. Fusarium oxysporum, was particularly abundant in leaves infested with the red scale insect Phoenicococcus marlatti Cockerell, 1899, but an undescribed Lecanicillium cf. psalliotae was also found. Dual and overlay cultures showed interactions between palm pathogens, entomopathogenic and saprotrophic fungi. The most significant was the strong inhibition of the palm pathogen Penicillium vermoesenii caused by the entomopathogen Beauveria bassiana. No symptoms developed when F. oxysporum isolated from scale insects or the entomopathogens B. bassiana or Lecanicillium dimorphum were wound-inoculated on P. dactylifera petioles. 相似文献

We present a study on the control and elimination of the fungi affecting the mummies specifically at the museum "El Carmen", in San Angel, Mexico City. Twelve analysed mummies presented an important deterioration attributed to colonizing fungi. The degree of fungal contamination and the efficacy of imazalil were evaluated. Two samplings were performed in order to isolate and identify the fungal genera, one for control and the other after the treatment. Isolation was done by the carpet-square technique and identification was performed by morphological features. Each sampling gave a total of 100 samples as follows: 17 from the air, 23 from the walls and 60 from the mummies. Samples were cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar. From the first sampling a total of 649 colonies corresponding to 24 genera were obtained being the most frequent Penicillium, Cladophialophora and Aspergillus. From the second sampling, after the imazalil treatment, which was applied by means of lit candles containing the antifungal drug, 57 colonies were recovered, representing a 91.2% fungal reduction; 18 genera were eliminated. In spite of resistance showed by many Penicillium strains, the imazalil is an alternative drug for the control of fungal colonization on these studied materials. 相似文献

AIM: A randomized, two-way, crossover, bioequivalence study was conducted in 25 fasting, healthy, male volunteers to compare two brands of fexofenadine 180 mg tablets, FEXOFENADINE 180 mg Film Tablet (Drogsan A.S., Ankara, Turkey) as test and Telfast 180 mg Tablet (Aventis Pharma, Frankfurt am Main, Germany) as a reference product. METHOD: One tablet of either formulation was administered after 10 h of overnight fasting. After dosing, serial blood samples were collected during a period of 48 hours. Plasma samples were analysed for fexofenadine by a validated HPLC method. The pharmacokinetic parameters AUC(0-48), AUC(0-alpha), C(max), T(max), K(el), T(1/2), and CL were determined from plasma concentration-time profiles for both formulations and were compared statistically. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: The analysis of variance (ANOVA) did not show any significant difference between the two formulations and 90% confidence intervals (CI) fell within the acceptable range, satisfying the bioequivalence criteria of the FDA. Based on these statistical inferences it was concluded that the two brands exhibited comparable pharmacokinetics profiles and that Drogsan's Fexofenadine is equivalent to Telfast of Aventis Pharma, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. 相似文献

The objective of this work was to compare the usefulness of a randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) assay to that of the ATB ID32C kit (bioMérieux, France) for identification of different species of Candida isolated from clinical specimens. The RAPD-PCR patterns obtained with OPE-18 primer for identification of clinical isolates were consistent, and the different independent assays revealed reproduction of the band patterns. RAPD with the OPE-18 primer is a very specific and sensitive method for identification of Candida glabrata, Candida guilliermondii, Candida tropicalis, Candida pelliculosa, Candida albicans, Candida krusei, and Candida lusitaniae. 相似文献
