Spontaneous superslow electrical brain activity and its changes were studied in acute experiments on curarized rabbits after administration of etimysol in doses of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.5 mg/kg. The effect of the drug persisted for three hours. Two oscillation phases were recorded in the medial group of mesencephalic reticular nuclei and the lateral nucleus of the hypothalamus: a short positive phase and a prolonged negative one. In other brain structures only negative waves were recorded. A significant functional rearrangement of correlative connections of brain structures took place in 90 minutes after the drug administration. The factor analysis showed that the most subtle connections were preserved in the neocortex and the dorsal hippocampus. 相似文献

PAAG-electrophoresis of the isogenic pair of Rickettsia prowazekii strains E and Evir lysates demonstrate the similarity in polypeptide tracks. The different electrophoretic mobility of the Mr 30 Kd protein from these strains as compared with the mobility of analogous protein from the standard virulent Breinl strain is registered. In immunoblot experiments the specific rabbit antiserums obtained on the 30th day of infection with the Breinl, E or Evir strains demonstrate the presence of the different main antigens 60 Kd or 70 Kd. The difference evidently reflects the specificity of development of two forms of infection by the strains having different virulence. The surface tris-soluble antigens of Rickettsia prowazekii have the similar polypeptide contents and immunochemical properties. The main component of tris-soluble antigens Mr 130 Kd protein is not strain specific having the common thermolabile epitope. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to compare the effects of sulfated fucopolysaccharides isolated from Fucus vesiculosus on HeLa G-63, Hep G2, and Chang liver cells. Native fucoidan F3 and two fractions (F3-0.5 and F3-1) obtained by anion-exchange chromatography were analyzed using chemical methods and IR spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that F3 and F3-1 are characterized by a higher content of sulfates, location of sulfo groups mostly at the C4 atom of fucose residue, and low content of uronic acids inhibited cell proliferation. Human liver carcinoma Hep G2 appeared to be the most sensitive to fucoidan, whereas nonmalignant human Chang liver cells were the least sensitive. 相似文献

Chlorophyll b-containing cyanobacterium Prochlorothrix hollandica is characterized by a high content of esterified fatty acids (FA) with 14 and 16 carbon atoms in the membrane lipids. Depending on the conditions of cultivation, the relative amount of myristic (C14:0) and myristoleic (C14:1) acids can reach 35%, and palmitic (С16:0) and palmitoleic (С16:1) acids can reach 60% of the sum of all fatty acids in cells. Monounsaturated FAs are represented by C14:1, and C16:1 with an olefinic bond presumably located in the Δ9 position. We cloned the gene of acyl-lipid Δ9-desaturase, desC1, from Prochlorothrix hollandica and characterized its specificity to the length of the substrate using the heterologous expression in Escherichia coli cells adding C14:0 or stearic (C18:0) acids as exogenous substrates. The results show that DesC1 Δ9 desaturase generates olefinic bonds in the FAs with a length of 14 to 18 carbon atoms with an approximately equal efficiency. This indicates that the length of the FA chain in P. hollandica is determined by the activity of the FA synthase, and the chain is desaturated at the Δ9 position nonspecifically relatively to its length. 相似文献

Intergeneric crossing of the actinomycetes Streptoverticillium mycoheptinicum and Streptomyces coelicolor yielded recombinants which were mostly nonviable and unstable despite a relatively high frequency (10(-2)-10(-4)) at which their colonies appeared. The rare viable and stable recombinants were prototrophs. The structure of antibiotics in the hybrid cell may be modified as follows from the differences in the antibiotic activity of the LIA-973 hybrid and the parent strains. 相似文献

The structure of the O-specific polysaccharide of the somatic antigen (lipopolysaccharide) of Shigella boydii, type 12, was established by 1H- and 13C-NMR, methylation analysis and partial acid hydrolysis methods. The polysaccharide consists of pentasaccharide repeating units of the following structure: (formula; see text) The amount of O-acetyl groups was far less than stoichiometric, only about 2 for 3-4 repeating units. Nevertheless, the results of serological studies revealed 3-O-acetyl-alpha-L-rhamnose residue to be the major immunodominant group. In spite of the presence of similar trisaccharide fragments, the lipopolysaccharide and polysaccharide from Shigella boydii type 12 gave no crossreaction with lipopolysaccharide and polysaccharide from Escherichia coli 07. The possible reasons of the absence of serological relatedness between the Sh. boydii, type 12, and E. coli 07 cells were discussed. 相似文献
