The influence of brain electrical stimulation, which induced some elements of agonistic behavior, on the preference of an animal of one of two compartments of the experimental chamber was studied in 7 male cats with implanted hypothalamic electrodes. The animals avoided the compartment in which they were stimulated. Self-stimulation reaction could not be formed on the basis of the electrical brain stimulation inducing certain elements of agonistic behavior. Passage latencies were shorter when an animal left the less preferential compartment that in the case when in started from the more preferential one. The obtained evidence suggests that hypothalamic stimulation producing certain elements of agonistic behavior evokes in an animal a negative internal state. 相似文献

Inheritance of morphological characters related to male and female genitalia was examined in Archips podana Scop. The position and number of aedeagus prongs had a monogenic diallelic mode of inheritance. In contrast to homozygous for P1 (prong A) and heterozygous (prong A + B) males, males homozygous for P2 (prong B) were characterized by much more active courtship. The gene correlates with a set of characters controlling individual ecology, exploring behavior of females, and feeding on different cultures. Morphological adult type 0 is an extremely weak form of phenotype B. Exploring activity of adults having phenotype B is the highest at the ratio of cis-tetradecenol to the other components of the female sex pheromone that leads to a somewhat lower activity of males of other phenotypes. In females, no regularities in inheritance of phenotypic characters were revealed. A hypothesis on a mechanism for maintenance of population stability for the given phenotypes is advanced and a possible mechanism for microevolution of a polymorphic species is proposed. 相似文献

The influence of acetyl salicylic acid (ASA) derivatives with platelet-activating factor (PAF) lipid analogs on PAF-induced human platelet aggregation has been studied. It was found that the ASA amide with an ethanolamine plasmalogen PAF analog (1-0-alk-1"-enyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(N-2"-acetoxybenzoyl)ethanolamine) and the ASA ester with a choline plasmalogen PAF analog (1-0-alk-1"-enyl-2-(2"-acetoxybenzoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) at concentrations of 10–7-10–6 M effectively inhibit PAF-induced aggregation of human platelets. In contrast to these compounds, the ASA amide with an alkyl PAF analog (1-0-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(N-2"-acetoxybenzoyl)ethanolamine) did not inhibit PAF-induced platelet aggregation. As possible mechanisms of action of the studied compounds, the blockade of PAF-receptor and cyclooxygenase inhibition are proposed. 相似文献

Despite an old history of a question, adaptive brain reactions that develop after an acute brainstem lesion have not been adequately investigated. With the aim to study the central mechanisms of compensation/decompensation and to specify the character of involvement of orbitofrontal cortex and hippocampus into these processes the spatiotemporal organization of brain electric activity was analyzed in 8 rats before and after electrolytic brainstem lesion at the level of the lateral vestibular nucleus Deiters (VND). The electric activity was recorded from symmetric frontal and somatosensory cortical areas, hippocampal areas CA1, and intact VND. Spectralcoherent analysis showed that adaptive reactions are most clearly manifested by changes in the spatiotemporal organization of the theata activity: 1) early brainstemhippocampal synchronization of the electric activity in the frequency range of 6-7 Hz with subsequent involvement of anterior cortical regions is characteristic of survived animals; 2) independent hippocampal-cortical hemispheric system of excitation in the frequency of 4-5 Hz precedes the fatal outcome. On the day before the fatal outcome the interhemispheric coherence in the orbitofrontal cortex dropped, which suggests the involvement of these brain regions into the processes of visceral regulation. 相似文献

Effects of thyroid hormone deficiency on 5-HT1A receptors, 5-HT2A receptors and serotonin transporter in the brain were studied in thyroidectomised Wistar rats receiving an iodine-free diet and receiving 15 micrograms/kg of thyroxine for 21 days. Binding of 3H-8-OH-DPAT to 5-HT1A receptors and 3H-cytalopram to serotonin transporter were unchanged in hypothyroid rats as compared to the control. 3H-ketanserin binding to 5-HT2A receptors was significantly decreased in the frontal cortex in hypothyroid rats. The cortical 3H-ketanserin binding in thyroidectomised rats was normalised after thyroxine replacement. The data suggest that the decrease in the cortical 5-HT2A receptors is the main consequence of impairing effect of hypothyroidism on serotonin neurotransmission. 相似文献

In the present study, the 5‐HT2A and 5‐HT1A receptors functional activity and 5‐HT2A receptor gene expression were examined in the brain of ASC/Icg and congenic AKR.CBAD13Mit76C mouse strains (genetically predisposed to catalepsy) in comparison with the parental catalepsy‐resistant AKR/J and catalepsy‐prone CBA/Lac mouse strains. The significantly reduced 5‐HT2A receptor functional activity along with decreased 5‐HT2A receptor gene expression in the frontal cortex was found in all mice predisposed to catalepsy compared with catalepsy‐resistant AKR/J. 5‐HT2A agonist DOI (0.5 and 1 mg/kg, i.p.) significantly reduced catalepsy in ASC/Icg and CBA/Lac, but not in AKR.CBAD13Mit76C mice. Essential increase in 5‐HT1A receptor functional activity was shown in catalepsy‐prone mouse strains in comparison with catalepsy‐resistant AKR/J mice. However, in AKR.CBAD13Mit76C mice it was lower than in ASC/Icg and CBA/Lac mice. The inter‐relation between 5‐HT2A and 5‐HT1A receptors in the regulation of catalepsy was suggested. This suggestion was confirmed by prevention of DOI anticataleptic effect in ASC/Icg and CBA/Lac mice by pretreatment with 5‐HT1A receptor antagonist p‐MPPI (3 mg/kg, i.p.). At the same time, the activation of 5‐HT2A receptor led to the essential suppression of 5‐HT1A receptor functional activity, indicating the opposite effect of 5‐HT2A receptor on pre‐ and postsynaptic 5‐HT1A receptors. Thus, 5‐HT2A/5‐HT1A receptor interaction in the mechanism of catalepsy suppression in mice was shown. 相似文献
