The characteristics of the averaged evoked potentials (AEP) (experiments with awake non-paralysed animals), of the evoked potentials (EP) and of the responses of single sensorimotor cortical neurons (acute experiments) of cats to tone-bursts with frequencies within 0.1-6.0 kHz were studied. Response selectivity to the tone-burst frequencies which are energetically pronounced in some biologically significant sounds for the cat was observed. The averaged curve of the dependence of the amplitude of AEP in the somatosensory cortical region (S1) on the tone-burst frequency has reliable maximum values at the frequencies of 0.8, 1.6 and 2.0-3.0 kHz. Most pronounced changes in the heart rhythm were observed within the tone-burst frequency ranges in which the AEP of the highest amplitudes were recorded. The amplitude of the AEP was found to increase during the conditioned reflex elaboration. The curve of the dependence of the probability of the EP occurrence on the frequency at equal sound pressure levels had maximum values at the frequencies of 1.6 and 3.2 kHz. The highest amplitude values of EP were found at frequencies of 0.8, 1.6 and 3.2 kHz. More than half of the recorded neurons revealed the lowest values of the response thresholds and the maximum values of the occurrence probability under suprathreshold stimulation at frequencies close to 0.8, 1.6, and 3.2 kHz. It is supposed that the above mentioned feature of the input frequency organization in sensorimotor cortex is connected with the selectivity as to the biological significance of acoustic stimuli.  相似文献

The applications of the fluorescent staining of chromosomes with quinacrine mustard allowed to identify a dicentric Y-chromosome in two patients with defected external gynaetalies: a boy of 15 years old and a girl of 2 years old. Both the patients had mosaicism of sex chromosomes: 45, x/46, x dic (Y). The dicentric Y-chromosome, resembling chromosome, 16, had bright luminescence of the thelomeric regions characteristic of the normal Y-chromosome. Besides, a balanced autosomic translocation t (1, 14) (q 31, q 3) was found in the girl identified also with quinacrine mustard fluorescent staining.  相似文献

Background and evoked activity of LGB units was studied on immobilized and anaesthetized rabbits. Two groups of projection units were revealed, differing by the level of background activity, latencies and mean frequency of discharges in responses to single photic flashes and to electrical stimulation of the optic nerve. It is assumed that these groups of units belong to the slowly and rapidly conducting paths of sensory information transmission in the visual projection system.  相似文献

Excitation and fluorescence spectra are given of quinacrine derivative solutions, of buccal epithelium cell nuclei, of peripheral blood cells, and of isolated chromosomes treated with propyl-quinacrine mustard. It is confirmed that the differential cell treatment with quinacrine derivates may be observed in aqueous solutions only. Data obtained allow us to give some recommendations for employment of optimal filters and dichroic beam-splitters in the fluorescence microscopy of chromosomes treated with quinacrine derivatives.  相似文献

The interaction of a plasmalogenic analog of platelet-activating factor (1-O-alk-1;-enyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine; 1-alkenyl-PAF) with human platelets was studied. 1-Alkenyl-PAF induced an increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentration and inhibition of adenylate cyclase at significantly higher concentrations than PAF. 1-Alkenyl-PAF inhibits PAF-induced platelet aggregation but has no effect on ADP- or thrombin-induced aggregation of human platelets. In contrast to PAF, 1-alkenyl-PAF increases [3H]PGE1 binding with human platelets. The properties of 1-alkenyl-PAF as an agonist or antagonist of PAF receptors apparently depend on its concentration in the cell medium. Under physiological conditions 1-alkenyl-PAF might be a natural PAF antagonist acting in the human cardiovascular system.  相似文献

The brain neurotransmitter serotonin is involved in the regulation of aggressive behavior. The main factor determining the brain serotonin level is the activity of the rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter--tryptophan hydroxylase isoform (TPH) 2 encoded by the Tph2 gene. Recently the C1473G single-nucleotide polymorphism in the Tph2 gene was reported. Here we study the C1473G polymorphism in 10 inbred mouse strains (C57BL/6J, AKR/J, DD/He, C3H/HeJ, YT/Y, BALB/cJLac, CC57BR/Mv and A/He) and demonstrate the association of the polymorphism with brain TPH activity and intermale aggressiveness. TPH activity in the midbrain of mice homozygous for the 1473C allele was higher than that in mice carrying 1473G alleles. A close association of the 1473C allele with increased number of attacks towards another male was found. The results support a link between the C1473G polymorphism in Tph2 gene, tryptophan hydroxylase activity and intensity of intermale aggression.  相似文献

Dynamic study of 3D localization of the equivalent current dipoles (ECD)--sources of the EEG alpha rhythm in the human brain was performed in seven subjects with closed eyes using a one-dipole model. An exact localization of ECDs was obtained by combination of EEG and MRI mapping that allowed tracing of ECD shifts over the cortex with 4 ms step. Our data confirmed localization of these ECDs mainly in the occipital cortex and revealed their successive shift over this area during generation of each alpha-wave. Typical trajectories of these shifts were revealed and quantitatively compared by the hierarchical cluster analysis. The data obtained directly proved periodical rhythmic alpha-wave spreading process in the human visual cortex and an external control of this process. The data are discussed in terms of the "scanning hypothesis" (Pitts W., McCulloch W.H. Bull. Math. Biophys. 1947. V. 9. P. 127) which predicted a certain functional meaning of the alpha activity for cortical processing of sensory information in the human brain.  相似文献

Dynamics of the elimination of the temperature-sensitive lethal mutation l(2)M167 DTS from experimental populations of Drosophila melanogaster under permissive conditions (25°C) was studied. We have shown a rapid elimination of the mutation from the populations, selection for fitness of heterozygous individuals, association of the selection with high larval density and with the direction of the cross that had produced the founder males of the l(2)M167 DTS /+ population, and the effect of relative competitive ability of l(2)M167 DTS /+ males on the efficiency of the mutation introduction. The data were used, which were obtained on different Drosophila species.
