Assessing the level of the informed knowledge of the population on the AIDS problem by an anonymous questionnaire]

Differences in the volume of information, spread among different groups of the population, on the problems of the transmission and prophylaxis of AIDS have been revealed by the method of anonymous questioning through the distribution of questionnaires. Persons belonging to the risk group, i. e. patients with venereal diseases, have shown a particularly low level of knowledge. The insufficient use of various forms and methods of health education has been established.     

The effect of a decrease in cerebral noradrenaline concentrations on the formation and fixation of temporary connections]

A sharp drop in the noradrenaline content (Na) in the brain of mice does not prevent the elaboration and fixation of relatively simple conditioned reflexes, but considerably disturbs the elaboration of more complex conditioned reflexes with delayed reinforcement. The decrease in the NA content in the brain does not appear to influence directly the process of consolidation of temporary connections; impaired fixation of relatively more complex forms of temporary connections is of a secondary nature and is due to disturbances in their formation.     

Histochemical study of fibroblasts and fibrous structures of the derma of rats in the process of postnatal development]

The histochemical data on the protein and carbohydrate exchange of fibroblasts in the period of intensive formation of fibres of the rats derm in the process of postnatal development are presented. The interrelationships between the size, the content of RNA, polysaccharides, proteins, the fibroblast enzyme activity and their fibreforming function is shown.
