Peculiarities of ultrastructural organization and localization of early forms of avascular nonsynaptic types of junctions formed in 14-18-day-old rat embryos have been studied; cerebral structures different in their phylogenic relations (the sensomotor cortex and nucleus caudatus) are taken as an example. Five main types of nonsynaptic intercellular junctions have been revealed: desmosome-like, gap, symmetric, asymmetric and mixed junctions. They differ by their ultrastructural organization. These types of junctions make the main types of contacts: soma-somatic, dendro-somatic, dendro-dendritic, axo-somatic, axo-dendritic. Desmosomes form the greatest number of the contacts. The earliest and the most primitive are gap junctions; they, evidently, reflect functional activity of desmosome-like junctions. The mixed junctions, perhaps, reflect the developmental stages of the intercellular contacts of transition from one type of junctions into another. Localization peculiarities of the nonsynaptic intercellular contacts are demonstrated: glomerule-like formations, establishment of numerous contacts looking like a successive chain, and so on. For some other indices a longer period of intercellular contact formation in the nucleus caudatus is noted, comparing the sensomotor cortex, though the latter is a newer structural cerebral formation from the phylogenic point of view. 相似文献

Steady potential shifts produced by focused ultrasond were recorded in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, thalamus, and caudate nucleus. Impulses of 50–100 msec duration were presented at a frequency of 5 and 10 Hz. Negative steady potential shifts were produced in each of the structures investigated, which gradually increased during rhythmic electrical reaction to reach –3 to –7 mV within 10–30 sec, often succeeded by a wave of spreading depression (SD). In each structure analyzed amplitude of SD waves measured 20–30 mV, lasting 30–40 sec in the cortex, the caudate nucleus and the thalamus, and 80–120 sec in the hippocampus. In unanesthetized and lightly anesthetized animals SD waves were on occasions the precursors of convulsive discharges forming under the action of focused ultrasound. Ultrasound at threshold doses proved ineffective for 5–7 min after the occurrence of an SD wave, but again evoked repeated SD waves once the refractory period had ended. Analysis of the inbreeding coefficient, its structure and dynamics in rural and urbanized populations of the Kostroma province was performed. The coefficient of inbreeding was estimated for the "old" and "new" villages via migration and isonymy, the values being 0.001185; 0.000786 and 0.001341; 0.000682, respectively. It follows from these data that there is a good agreement between the values of the inbreeding coefficient estimated by two different methods and that this coefficient is diminished doubly in "new" villages. The coefficient of inbreeding in small towns was estimated via isonymy. It is 0.000704 in ancient and 0,000229 in modern towns. The decrease in the inbreeding coefficient was more pronounced in towns, as compared to villages. 相似文献

Electron microscopic investigation of synaptogenesis in the sensomotor cortex and in the caudate nucleus has been performed in the prenatal ontogenesis (16-22 days) and in newborn rats. The first immature synapses are demonstrated to appear beginning on the 16th day of embryogenesis. At the end of the prenatal development and especially in newborn animals desmosome-like, asymmetric and symmetric, mixed and complex forms of the synaptic contacts are revealed. As a result of the analysis performed on the ultrastructural organization of the contacts, a hypothesis explaining mechanisms of development of various elements of the synapses has been suggested. A part of the synaptic contacts of the asymmetric and symmetric types is supposed to be genetically programmed and membrane specialization of these contacts is formed earlier than synaptic vesicles appear. Other part of the synapses undergoes certain stages of differentiation before the functionally mature contact is formed. The initial stage in the synapses formation in formation of the desmosome-like junction. The second stage is appearance of synaptic vesicles in the area of this contact. The third stage includes development of pre- and postsynaptic membranous specialization and owing to this the contact acquires either asymmetric or symmetric appearance. For the ontogenetic periods investigated establishment of complex forms of the intercellular junctions (tangent, reciprocal, etc.) is specific; this evidently demonstrates certain plastic rearrangements in the synapses during the process of development. 相似文献

After re-emergence of malaria in 1993, a continued increase in Plasmodium vivax cases was observed from 1993 to 2006 in northern Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces adjacent to the demilitarized zone separating North from South Korea. Annual parasite incidence per 1000 people ranged from 0.33 in 2004 to 0.89 in 2006. While malaria case rates declined (22.6%) in 2004, they increased 75.1% in 2005 and 51.7% in 2006 from the previous years. An initial incorrect diagnosis of 46.8% of malaria cases as common cold resulted in a mean delay of 1.3 days for the detection malarial parasites. Of the total cases, 10.2% from December to May were due to latent intrinsic incubation infections acquired the previous malaria season and the rest of the cases from June to November were either latent or short incubation infections. Overall, the peak anopheline population occurred from July to September, resulting in a similar peak in malaria cases. While malaria cases increased during 2005–2006, anopheline populations, based on trap indices, were not significantly different during 4 years of surveillance. To decrease the malaria patient infective period to mosquitoes, public health centers in Paju and Cheorwon in 2006 prescribed chloroquine + primaquine at days 0–3 after initial malaria diagnosis followed by an additional 11 days of primaquine (early primaquine treatment), rather than chloroquine on days 0–3 and primaquine on days 4–17 (delayed primaquine treatment). A reduction in the malaria parasite incidence during 2007 was recorded for the two locations offering the early primaquine treatment relative to other locations using the delayed primaquine treatment. 相似文献
