The structure of four oligosaccharides which are the main carbohydrate chains of hemagglutinin of influenza virus A/Leningrad/385/80 (H3N2) has been elucidated. It was shown by means of enzymatic and mild acid hydrolysis, Smith degradation and acetolysis that the oligosaccharides have very similar structures (noncomplete triantennary) and differ from each other only in the number (0, 1 or 2) and position of fucose residues. The peculiarities of glycosylation of H3 hemagglutinin from different strains of influenza virus were discussed. 相似文献

The synthesis of allyl beta-glycoside of cellobiuronic acid by chemical modification of cellobiose was described. The carbohydrate-containing polymers with different content of determinant groups were obtained via radical copolymerization of this hapten with acrylamide. The copolymer which contained 27% carbohydrates and had molecular mass about 100-300 kilodaltons had the serological specificity of the capsular polysaccharide Streptococcus pneumoniae type 3 as shown by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. 相似文献

The following structure of the repeating unit of the O-specific polysaccharide of Proteus mirabilis O27, containing amides of D-glucuronic and D-galacturonic acids with L-lysine and L-alanine, respectively, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and phosphoethanolamine, has been determined: (sequence; see text) The main methods used for structural analysis of the polysaccharide were selective solvolysis with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and Smith degradation, as well as NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The immunodominant role of the lateral N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and phosphoethanolamine in manifesting the serological specificity of P. mirabilis O27 has been established. 相似文献
