Tear proteins were detected by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in the vole, Microtus arvalis. The tear proteins were separated to 6 to 8 bands and the bands were divided to three regions on the anodic side. In the adult male vole, a male specific band (Vtp-1) was detected in the first region. The first region of adult female and immature voles contained two specific bands (Vtp-2, 3). In the castrated adult males or adult males injected with estrogen, the male specific hand, Vtp-1, disappeared and Vtp-2 and 3 bands appeared. In all castrated voles, the Vtp-1 band appeared and Vtp-2 and 3 bands disappeared after the administration of testosterone. Thus, sex hormone-dependent proteins are present in vole tears.  相似文献

The kesterite material Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) is an attractive earth‐abundant semiconductor for photovoltaics. However, the power conversion efficiency is limited by a large density of I–II antisite defects, which cause severe band tailing and open‐circuit voltage loss. Ag2ZnSnSe4 (AZTSe) is a promising alternative to CZTSSe with a substantially lower I–II antisite defect density and smaller band tailing. AZTSe is weakly n‐type, and this study reports for the first time on how the carrier density is impacted by stoichiometry. This study presents the first‐ever photovoltaic device based on AZTSe, which exhibits an efficiency of 5.2%, which is the highest value reported for an n‐type thin‐film absorber. Due to the weakly n‐type nature of the absorber, a new architecture is employed (SnO:F/AZTSe/MoO3/ITO) to replace conventional contacts and buffer materials. Using this platform, it is shown that the band tailing parameter in AZTSe more closely resembles that of CIGSe than CZTSSe, underscoring the strong promise of this absorber. In demonstrating the ability to collect photogenerated carriers from AZTSe, this study paves the way for novel thin‐film heterojunction architectures where light absorption in the n‐type device layer can supplement absorption in the p‐type layer as opposed to producing a net optical loss.  相似文献

Including ecosystem functions into restoration ecology has been repeatedly suggested, yet there is limited evidence that this is taking place without bias to certain habitats, species, or functions. We reviewed the inclusion of ecosystem functions in restoration and potential relations to habitats and species by extracting 224 publications from the literature (2004–2013). Most studies investigated forests, fewer grasslands or freshwaters, and fewest wetlands or marine habitats. Of all studies, 14% analyzed only ecosystem functions, 44% considered both biotic composition and functions, 42% exclusively studied the biotic component, mostly vascular plants, more rarely invertebrates or vertebrates, and least often microbes. Most studies investigating ecosystem functions focused on nutrient cycling (26%), whereas productivity (18%), water relations (16%), and geomorphological processes (14%) were less covered; carbon sequestration (10%), decomposition (6%), and trophic interactions (6%) were rarely studied. Monitoring of ecosystem functions was common in forests and grasslands, but the functions considered depended on the study organisms. These associations indicate research opportunities for certain habitats, species, and functions. Overall, the call to include ecosystem functions in restoration has been heard; however, a lack of clarity about the ecosystem functions to be included and deficits of feasible field methods are major obstacles for a functional approach. Restoration ecology should learn from recent advances in rapid assessment of ecosystem functions, and by a closer integration with biodiversity–ecosystem functioning research. Not all functions need to be measured in all ecosystems, but more functions than the few commonly addressed would improve the understanding of restored ecosystems.  相似文献

Summary In the present study we have established a pure monolayer culture system of human fallopian tube epithelial cells. The cells were isolated using collagenase digestion, and were cultured in Medium 199 supplemented with 15% fetal bovine serum. The epithelial cells derived from primary and secondary culture were characterized using immunocytochemical staining and electron microscopy. The cells continued to grow for 2 to 3 wk once the monolayer culture of the cells was established. It is currently possible to maintain the cultures until the third generation. Proliferation of these cells was enhanced by epidermal growth factor but not by basic-fibroblast growth factor, insulin, transferrin, estradiol-17β, or progesterone. This culture system offers a good model for determining characteristics of the tubal epithelium and would permit effective study of co-culture with embryos.  相似文献

In the course of studies on the metabolism of a new antitumor anthracycline antibiotic, aclacinomycin A, the new keto reductase which catalyzes the reduction of keto group of L-cinerulose of aclacinomycin A to L-rhodinose was found in rat liver microsomal membrane. The enzyme requires NADH for the reduction and showed optimum pH at 7.0. Km value for aclacinomycin A, 2.1 × 10?5 M and the concentration of NADH need to half maximal activity, 6.2 × 10?5 M were obtained. The activity was potently inhibited by detergents, such as Triton X-100, sodium deoxycholate and sodium dodecyl sulfate.  相似文献

We show here novel intracellular Ca2+ oscillation in v-K-ras-transformed NIH3T3 cells induced by mitogenic peptide hormones, bradykinin and bombesin, as well as fetal calf serum. Induction of the Ca2+ oscillation is strongly correlated with the malignant properties and inversely with PKC activities in vitro and in vivo. These results suggest that the mitogen-induced Ca2+ oscillation is negatively regulated by PKC, which modulates Ca2+ influx in v-K-ras-transformed NIH3T3 cells.  相似文献

A study concerning membrane contact and fusion phenomena was made for phospholipid spherical bilayer systems with respect to temperature. Specific temperatures were obtained for the spherical bilayer membranes of phosphatidyl choline (PC) and phosphatidyl serine (PS) which indicated a greater degree of membrane fusion and were designated Tf (the fusion temperature -- PC: 43 degrees C, PS: 38 degrees C). These temperatures were reduced by about 10 degrees C for the membranes incorporated with 20% lysophosphatidyl choline. The results of the contact and fusion observed in the spherical membranes are compared and discussed with the conductance characteristics of the PC and PS planar bilayer membranes as well as dissolution study on the phospholipid monolayers formed at the air/water interface with respect to temperature. Also, a possible molecular mechanism of membrane fusion is discussed in terms of the fluidity and instability of the membrane.  相似文献
