The draft new recommendations of the ICRP emphasize the need for transition from the collective dose to the dose matrix concept with optimization of the radiation protection system. In fact, this means assessment of the attributive (radiation-induced) risk at individual level with allowance for the dynamics of dose accumulation during the whole length of professional experience. The work provides assessments for high potential risk group from the "Mayak" personnel based on the dose matrix and using the UNSCEAR technique for assessing the attributive risk. It was found that about 2% of "Mayak" personnel subject to individual dosimetric monitoring in 2005 can be attributed to this group. 相似文献

The information significance of the immunological indexes for the prognosis of gravity of course and of outcome of an acute radiation disease for the people after the exposure of ionizing radiation in clinically significant doses is studied. The value of indexes of the C-reactive protein contents, of the complement contents and of the titer of haemagglutinins in serum of a blood of 147 patients damaged at Chernobyl NPP accident as a result of external radiation gamma-exposure in combination with internal irradiation from the incorporation in an organism predominantly beta-emitting radionuclides were compared to the weight of acute radiation disease and its outcome (survival or loss). Was determined, that indexes of the contents of C-reactive protein in a peripheral blood during primary reactions on the irradiation (1-2 day after irradiation) and in latent period of disease (3-9 day after irradiation), and also titer of a complement on 3-9 day after irradiation can serve a source of information for the prognosis of probable gravity of a radiation injury and its outcome at irradiation of the man in clinically significant doses. 相似文献

The effects of daily bilateral microinjections of GABA-A receptor antagonist picrotoxin (2 mcg) into rostral neostriatum of the rats in chronic experiments were investigated. The picrotoxin was injected in volume of 1 mcl of saline or in 1 mcl of 1.0 M or 1.5 M MgCl2 solution; 1 mcl of saline or 1.0 M MgCl2 solution were injected in control groups of animals. The impairment of the avoidance conditioning in shuttle box, changes in free locomotor activity and the stereotypic choreo-myoclonic limb jerks were registered in rats with picrotoxin with the saline microinjections. The motor deviation registered are similar with Huntington chorea hyperkinesis in humans. The addition of magnesium ions into injected solution prevented both the lyperkinesis and condition behaviour realization impairment. As the magnesium is a universal calcium channel blocker, the calcium homeostasis of striatal neurons impairment as one of principal elements of hyperkinesis pathogenesis is proposed. 相似文献

The analysis of cytogenetic anomaly dynamics in conditions of chronic low doze effect of ionizing irradiation in generations of genetically homogeneous laboratory line of mice CC57W/Mv and genetically heterogeneous populations of vole's species, trapped in alienation zone of Chernobyl's NPP in places with different levels of radio nuclide contamination in 1994-2001 was carried out. The data about the physiological adaptation to ionizing irradiation effects under age of linear mice and non-linearity of frequency changes of separate cytogenetic anomalies in generations as laboratory line of mice, and genetically heterogeneous populations of vole's species were obtained. The brain E is determined by ratio in rate of processes occuring in two energy compartments--in glycolysis (the more ancient one in evolution) in which glucose is splitted whithout oxygen utilization, and in oxidative metabolism which is younger in evolution than glycolysis and more effective than glycolysis. In the present investigation, the brain cortex E changes were recorded with implanted platinum electrodes. CDR was established by combination of light and electric shock applied to the left ear. It has been found that the combinations started to be accompanied by the E shift after the first 5-20 combinations. The E shifts were widely generalized over the cortex, and both increasing and decreasing E were well expressed within 50-200 combinations. As the number of combination increased, the increases in E were gradually replaced by the decreases in E. This dynamic in the balance of the major sources of the brain energy supply during the formation of CDR demonstrates, in our opinion, that subcellular structures or complexes of cells which appeared at the same stages of evolution as the compartment of oxidative metabolism make a significant contribution to the CDR acquisition when memory traces are created, while brain function during realization of well consolidated CDR are supported mainly by glycolysis. 相似文献

The spectrogram of heart rate in denervated (vagotomy + propranolol) and artificially ventilated cats always contains the true respiratory peak and 1-3 resonance ones pacing at intervals equivalent to frequency of breathing. Hypothermic decrease of heart rate periodically draws the splitting of respiratory peaks and generation of supplementary rate-dependent peaks reflecting the interference of heart and breathing rhythms. The functional base for detection of mentioned peaks is myogenic reaction of sino-atrial node to its extension by fluctuations of venous inflow. 相似文献

We previously showed that the one-electron reduction product of nitric oxide (NO), nitroxyl (HNO), irreversibly inhibits the proteolytic activity of the model cysteine protease papain. This result led us to investigate the differential effects of the nitrogen oxides, such as nitroxyl (HNO), NO, and in situ-generated peroxynitrite on cysteine modification-sensitive cellular proteolytic enzymes. We used Angeli's salt, diethylaminenonoate (DEA/NO), and 3-morpholinosydnoniminehydrochloride (SIN-1), as donors of HNO, NO, and peroxynitrite, respectively. In this study we evaluated their inhibitory activities on the lysosomal mammalian papain homologue cathepsin B and on the cytosolic 26S proteasome in THP-1 monocyte/macrophages after LPS activation or TPA differentiation. HNO-generating Angeli's salt caused a concentration-dependent (62 +/- 4% at 316 muM) inhibition of the 26S proteasome activity, resulting in accumulation of protein-bound polyubiquitinylated proteins in LPS-activated cells, whereas neither DEA/NO nor SIN-1 showed any effect. Angeli's salt, but not DEA/NO or SIN-1, also caused (94 +/- 2% at 316 muM) inhibition of lysosomal cathepsin B activity in LPS-activated cells. Induction of macrophage differentiation did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of HNO on lysosomal cathepsin B activity, but protected the proteasome from HNO-induced inhibition. The protection awarded by macrophage differentiation was associated with induction of the GSH synthesis rate-limiting enzyme gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase, as well as with increased intracellular GSH. In conclusion, HNO abrogates both lysosomal and cytosolic proteolysis in THP-1 cells. Macrophage differentiation, associated with upregulation of antioxidant defenses such as increased cellular GSH, does not protect the lysosomal cysteine protease cathepsin B from inhibition. 相似文献

This paper presents an empirical model for the distribution of diameter growth along the stem in Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and for the consequent stem form over time. First, the distribution of annual mass growth in the stem is determined as a function of the total annual growth in stem mass, current stem mass and the distribution of the latter along the stem. Second, the distribution of diameter growth is obtained by converting the fraction of annual growth in the stem mass at a given height in the stem into the thickness of the annual ring at the same height. Application of the model to Scots pine data sets including both young and mature trees not used in parameter estimation showed that the model was capable of reconstructing the distribution of diameter growth from the stem butt to the apex and from the pith to the stem surface at any height in the stem in both young and mature trees. The resulting empirical model was also linked to a physiological, process-based model in order to study its performance in a simulated stand. Simulations representing trees grown in unthinned and thinned Scots pine stands with trees of different status (from dominant to suppressed) showed that the response in tree growth to thinning in terms of the distribution of diameter growth along the stem was quite realistic relative to measured data. 相似文献

The common apolipoprotein E (apoE) gene (APOE) epsilon2/epsilon3/epsilon4 polymorphism explains part of serum lipid variation, and polymorphisms in the APOE promoter region have been proposed to participate in the regulation of serum lipid levels within the most common APOE epsilon3/epsilon3 genotype group. We determined APOE -219G/T and +113G/C promoter genotypes and estimated APOE haplotypes in 525 participants of the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study. We studied the associations of the APOE promoter polymorphisms and their haplotypes with cross-sectional and longitudinal serum lipid and apolipoprotein concentrations as well as with flow-mediated dilatation (FMD), carotid artery compliance (CAC), and intima-media thickness (IMT) within the APOE epsilon3/epsilon3 carriers. We found no significant association between the APOE promoter genotypes and serum lipids [low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), HDL-C, and triglycerides], apolipoproteins (apoA-I and apoB), or brachial artery FMD, CAC, or carotid IMT in either men or women. In longitudinal analyses in males, the carriers of heterozygous genotypes (-219G/T or +113G/C) and, furthermore, carriers of the -219T/+113C/epsilon3 haplotype had significantly higher LDL-C and total cholesterol concentrations throughout the 21 year follow-up period compared with homozygous G allele carriers or noncarriers of the -219T/+113C/epsilon3 haplotype. Such associations were not found in females. In summary, the APOE promoter polymorphisms -219G/T and +113G/C as well as their haplotype are associated with longitudinal changes in LDL-C and total cholesterol concentrations in young Finnish males but do not seem to be major determinants for FMD, CAC, or carotid IMT in males or females. 相似文献
